:00:00. > 3:59:59chilly start on Wednesday and there will be more rain overnight into

:00:00. > :00:00.Thursday. will be more rain overnight into

:00:00. > :00:09.Thursday. Good evening. We have a spell of wet

:00:10. > :00:13.and windy weather working across the British Isles. Today brought many of

:00:14. > :00:18.us some decent spells of sunshine and it brought us some decent

:00:19. > :00:25.temperatures. In fact, our warmest day of the year so far.

:00:26. > :00:31.At the moment, though, things have changed. This is the gap in the

:00:32. > :00:34.satellite picture. Now, this curl of cloud looks like a snail's shell, it

:00:35. > :00:38.is an area of low pressure that is sweeping wind and rain across us.

:00:39. > :00:42.It's pushed into the west already and is now making rapid progress

:00:43. > :00:48.eastwards, moving into eastern England through the small hours.

:00:49. > :00:53.Strong, gusty winds around the Irish Sea coasts. The weather front will

:00:54. > :00:57.weaken as it gets into eastern areas. Behind the weather front,

:00:58. > :01:01.things are a good deal clearer and that is the way we will start

:01:02. > :01:06.tomorrow. Our wet and windy weather, the worst of it is out of the way as

:01:07. > :01:10.we look at Tuesday. There will be some sunshine around, but there will

:01:11. > :01:18.be some hefty showers. First thing, a lot of sunshine. It is the showers

:01:19. > :01:24.that pack in to the west and get driven eastwards on gusty winds.

:01:25. > :01:27.That will be the real feature. For the South West, for Wales and the

:01:28. > :01:32.Midlands, the risk of some heavy downpours. Eastern England largely

:01:33. > :01:36.fine with some sunshine. Feeling a little cooler than it has done

:01:37. > :01:38.today. Showers for Cumbria, for Northern Ireland and for much of

:01:39. > :01:41.Scotland, the North East looking driest and clearest through the

:01:42. > :01:46.afternoon. If you do encounter some of the showers, you will know about

:01:47. > :01:50.it - they will be heavy. Some areas will escape them, but there are

:01:51. > :01:56.quite a few w to go round. Wednesday sees the showers focussing on

:01:57. > :02:02.western Scotland. Some early on for Northern Ireland. This band of rain

:02:03. > :02:05.will work its way later on Wednesday overnight into Thursday from west to

:02:06. > :02:08.east. Thursday, a bit like tomorrow, we will start with some rain to the

:02:09. > :02:13.far east. That should pull away through the day. Then we will see

:02:14. > :02:16.some hefty showers. Friday, another day potentially of sunshine and

:02:17. > :02:22.showers. If anything, the showers will be lighter on Friday. Quite a

:02:23. > :02:28.spring-like picture for the coming days. A lot of sunshine on the way

:02:29. > :02:30.for most of us. You can get more details on bbc.co.uk/weather.
