:00:00. > :00:00.day on Friday, wet snow around and a breeze blowing as well. Tricky into

:00:00. > :00:07.the weekend. And now we have the national forecast.

:00:08. > :00:12.Good evening. We know it has been a wet winter but it has also been mild

:00:13. > :00:18.and across England and Wales, lacking in snow. The last day of the

:00:19. > :00:23.season which we measure on Friday, might provide a bit of it. Friday's

:00:24. > :00:29.weather is coming from the small area of low pressure. These tiny

:00:30. > :00:35.low-pressure systems are difficult to track and a subtle change in

:00:36. > :00:38.position could have a big impact. Tonight we have more

:00:39. > :00:41.straightforward, a weather front spreading out rakes of rain across

:00:42. > :00:45.most areas. Turning windy as well. The rain will be heavy but will move

:00:46. > :00:50.through quickly because of the strength of the wind and it will be

:00:51. > :00:53.a mild night for most. The rain is lingering across Scotland and

:00:54. > :00:57.eastern England for the morning. It will continue to be pushed into the

:00:58. > :01:01.North Sea but it may take most of the morning before it clears away.

:01:02. > :01:08.Following behind, brighter skies, sunny spells but more showers than

:01:09. > :01:12.today. Particularly for Wales, the Midlands and Sunderland. Snow over

:01:13. > :01:18.tops of the hills in western Scotland. For eastern Scotland, it

:01:19. > :01:23.should write a lot will stop after a damp morning across eastern counties

:01:24. > :01:27.of England, it looks much brighter in the afternoon but not too many

:01:28. > :01:34.showers here. There will be more showers across the Midlands and

:01:35. > :01:37.Wales with hail and thunder. Tomorrow night, the low-pressure

:01:38. > :01:42.system starts to arrive bringing rain. You can see it curling and

:01:43. > :01:47.that is the low-pressure. Tracking this is crucial, it could be a

:01:48. > :01:52.little bit further north, it could be a little bit further south. If it

:01:53. > :01:55.is further north we could see some strong winds along the south coast

:01:56. > :02:01.of England, particularly in the South West. And the position of it

:02:02. > :02:05.determines where we are most likely to see some snow. At this stage it

:02:06. > :02:07.looks like the hills of northern England, North Wales and the

:02:08. > :02:14.Midlands but it could be further south. It is definitely one to keep

:02:15. > :02:19.across the forecast, keep up today over the next 24 hours, particularly

:02:20. > :02:22.if you are travelling on Friday. Into the weekend and there is still

:02:23. > :02:27.some uncertainty but confident it will be turning colder. Showers on

:02:28. > :02:28.Saturday and may be persistent rain across the
