:00:00. > 3:59:59now with the summary for the weekend weather. Now the national forecast

:00:00. > :00:00.with weather. Now the national forecast

:00:00. > :00:12.with Nick Miller. Hello, as winter becomes spring, the

:00:13. > :00:15.atmosphere contains more energy. The shower clouds grow taller. If

:00:16. > :00:20.conditions are right, you get thunder storms. There have been some

:00:21. > :00:26.today. Bob took this picture near London this afternoon. The spring

:00:27. > :00:31.flowers will appreciate the re turn return of warmth. Until then big

:00:32. > :00:35.showers to come, pushing in across south-west England - some hail and

:00:36. > :00:40.thunder. Sleet and snow on to the top of the moors.

:00:41. > :00:44.From Norfolk to coastal England into Northern Ireland. Elsewhere, one or

:00:45. > :00:48.two showers around. Where you are clear for a time, you will see a

:00:49. > :00:53.touch of frost here and there. Patchy mist and fog all in the mix

:00:54. > :00:56.as Friday begins. From the word go, we are dodging downpours in

:00:57. > :01:03.south-west England, increasingly so into Wales as well. Hail and thunder

:01:04. > :01:07.with these. The day is starting starting largely dry weather. Still

:01:08. > :01:14.this area of cloud and outbreaks of rain. Some heavy across England. At

:01:15. > :01:18.times fringing Scotland. The bulk of Scotland though dry. The best of any

:01:19. > :01:23.warmth in the west. Where you have cloud, rain, showers and have this

:01:24. > :01:28.easterly wind, it will feel chilly. Into the afternoon the showers break

:01:29. > :01:33.out more widely. Parts of the Midlands, for example. Avoiding most

:01:34. > :01:37.of the showers and helped by sunshine, temperatures head up a few

:01:38. > :01:41.degrees. It is a subtle change in the weather pattern. The isobars, we

:01:42. > :01:46.have followed them, pointing out towards the North Sea, but they tilt

:01:47. > :01:52.around down towards continental Europe - a south-easterly flow. It

:01:53. > :01:57.will bring warmer weather - the warmer colours spreading across the

:01:58. > :02:00.UK as the weekend goes on. It will feel quite different. Saturday

:02:01. > :02:04.though, the further west you are, still threatens some rain.

:02:05. > :02:09.Especially to Northern Ireland. Throughout the weekend north-east

:02:10. > :02:13.England, low cloud, mist and drizzle, holding the temperature

:02:14. > :02:19.down. It is similar into Sunday. Elsewhere, given variable cloud and

:02:20. > :02:21.sunshine, it will be hazy at times. Warm spots getting to near 20

:02:22. > :02:26.Celsius. That is a trend for the weekend - warming up. Whatever the

:02:27. > :02:29.temperature, lots of dry weather to get out and about. Still breezy.

:02:30. > :02:31.Enjoy it all because it looks
