:00:00. > :00:00.next few days even into Monday as well. The national weather forecast

:00:00. > :00:00.comes from well. The national weather forecast

:00:00. > :00:36.comes from Peter Gibbs. A few clear spells ahead of that for

:00:37. > :00:40.a time across the Midlands and eastern England. Staying clear

:00:41. > :00:46.across the north-east of Scotland, barring only patchy mist and fog.

:00:47. > :00:50.Temperatures could dip away a touch. Generally, it is a mild night, as

:00:51. > :00:55.the cloud rolls in, accompanied by the outbreaks of rain. A pretty grey

:00:56. > :00:59.start for most of us to the weekend. A lot of cloud around. Always this

:01:00. > :01:03.rain around too, particularly across western and northern areas. Some

:01:04. > :01:07.will be on the heavy side. The further east you are, the better the

:01:08. > :01:11.chance of managing to just about stay dry and avoid the rain.

:01:12. > :01:15.Tomorrow afternoon shows a cool breeze on the southern coasts.

:01:16. > :01:19.Inland, the air is inherently still warm. Across East Anglia for

:01:20. > :01:23.example, we could still manage to reach 15 or 16, widely up into the

:01:24. > :01:27.low teens elsewhere across England and Wales. The rain is heavy at

:01:28. > :01:32.times. North Wales, the Cumbrian fells and the Scottish hills as

:01:33. > :01:37.well. Not a great start for hill walkers. Still grey down the East

:01:38. > :01:42.Coast of Scotland. Maybe not as dismal dismal as it has been for the

:01:43. > :01:45.rest of the week. It's the Grand National of course on Saturday, not

:01:46. > :01:49.great for race goers but probably not affecting the going that much.

:01:50. > :01:54.On Sunday, the rain could be heavier, a little more persistent in

:01:55. > :01:58.places, very few areas managing to escape it. Stronger winds blowing in

:01:59. > :02:03.too, not helping with the feel of the day. Brighter skies for Northern

:02:04. > :02:07.Ireland. Even with all that going on, still temperatures are above the

:02:08. > :02:11.average for early April, up into the low to mid Keynes. Looking further

:02:12. > :02:19.ahead into the start of next week, we have another low pressure system

:02:20. > :02:23.moving in. More wind, more rain for Monday. If you are starting your

:02:24. > :02:27.holidays this weekend, from Tuesday onwards, high pressure will build

:02:28. > :02:29.back in. Sunshine will rain and a much more settled look to the second

:02:30. > :02:31.half of the week.
