:00:00. > 3:59:59weather stays with us into the weekend

:00:00. > :00:07.weather stays with us into the weekend and for the London Marathon

:00:08. > :00:11.as well. Parts of Australia are about to be

:00:12. > :00:17.hit by a powerful cyclone bringing whether that is just about as bad as

:00:18. > :00:21.it gets with winds gusting over 100 miles an hour and potentially

:00:22. > :00:27.flooding rain. First of all, back home our weather could not be more

:00:28. > :00:32.different. Settled weather generally for the next few days including the

:00:33. > :00:38.weekend. Tonight temperatures are falling sharply and it is a cold

:00:39. > :00:45.night in northern areas. In the countryside it will be down to just

:00:46. > :00:49.two or three Celsius. Some pockets of fog are likely. Showers in

:00:50. > :00:54.western Scotland, but generally there will be some dry and fine

:00:55. > :00:59.weather around. It will be a sparkling start to the day in

:01:00. > :01:03.northern England. Some fog and mist patches in south Wales and

:01:04. > :01:10.south-west England. We will have more cloud in the Midlands, East

:01:11. > :01:14.Anglia and the South East. There will be a few showers through the

:01:15. > :01:20.course of the day, in Sussex and Kent, but it will be hit and miss.

:01:21. > :01:25.Generally a dry and a bright day with most of us seeing spells of

:01:26. > :01:30.sunshine. That will lift the temperatures back up to about

:01:31. > :01:36.average for this time of the year. We could get 16 or 17 close by

:01:37. > :01:41.London. With this area of high pressure still controlling things,

:01:42. > :01:46.certainly in the south, as we go into the weekend there will be more

:01:47. > :01:49.fine weather. But we have a complication in the north and the

:01:50. > :01:53.breeze picks up and there will be rain on Saturday morning and this

:01:54. > :01:59.will edge into northern England later on in the day. But the

:02:00. > :02:04.temperatures could get into the mid-teens. On Sunday there is a

:02:05. > :02:08.brisk breeze in the north, but further south it is looking fine and

:02:09. > :02:13.it is good news for the London Marathon. A chilly start, but

:02:14. > :02:20.temperatures of 17 or 18 which maybe a bit high the afternoon. Now, onto

:02:21. > :02:27.the storm arriving in northern Queensland. Winds of well over 100

:02:28. > :02:50.miles an hour as it slams into the North Queensland coastline, bringing

:02:51. > :02:54.with more live TV coverage than ever before.

:02:55. > :02:59.The hardiest annuals return for another spectacular display.
