:00:00. > :00:00.The outlook as we head into the weekend, you can see what is going

:00:00. > :00:07.on. Sunday might be brighter. Now over to Louise Lear for the national

:00:08. > :00:11.weather. Good evening. Today has been a day

:00:12. > :00:14.of sunny spells and a few scattered showers, but where we see the

:00:15. > :00:20.sunshine, we have also seen some warmth, with temperatures in the

:00:21. > :00:25.high teens. A slightly disappointing story across the far north-east of

:00:26. > :00:30.Scotland. We keep that easterly feed through the night to night, but

:00:31. > :00:33.looking out into the Atlantic, we also start to pick up the

:00:34. > :00:36.south-westerly circulate in, and area of low pressure bringing in

:00:37. > :00:45.some blustery winds for the start of the weekend. Tonight it stays mostly

:00:46. > :00:50.dry, with some fog around. And we pick up the risk of a few showers in

:00:51. > :00:56.the far south-east. Clearer skies at the the South West, and cloudy,

:00:57. > :01:01.murky start our day tomorrow the showers gather in strength and then

:01:02. > :01:04.start to march north and west. Some of those showers quite heavy and

:01:05. > :01:07.possibly thundery as well. The further west you go, perhaps away

:01:08. > :01:12.from that easterly breeze, you will see the best of the brightness

:01:13. > :01:16.across Northern Ireland, and indecent, again, cloudy and

:01:17. > :01:20.disappointing. Some of the showers across central England heavy over

:01:21. > :01:24.higher ground. There is some uncertainty just how far west they

:01:25. > :01:28.will come, perhaps a cross eastern fringes of Wales. And by the end of

:01:29. > :01:33.the day, we could pick up some sunshine into the south-east, so

:01:34. > :01:39.temperatures generally raising. They could reach 19 or 20 we get good

:01:40. > :01:41.spells of sunshine. That may well then trigger off some heavy and

:01:42. > :01:52.thundery downpours across the south-east and East Anglia. As for

:01:53. > :01:56.the weekend , we have already seen that area of low pressure, so some

:01:57. > :02:00.blustery showers and heavy showers coming through, but some sunny

:02:01. > :02:03.spells as well. That drives in during Saturday, and we will see a

:02:04. > :02:08.band of rain for the start of Saturday, but it is not all doom and

:02:09. > :02:17.gloom. It tracks further north and east, and brings quite a clearance

:02:18. > :02:23.behind it. Highs likely of around 10-16 Celsius. As we move toward

:02:24. > :02:29.Sunday, it is a case of sunny spells and scattered showers, but hopefully

:02:30. > :02:30.not quite as heavy or widespread. So for the final
