:00:00. > :00:00.the it will get cooler as we had through

:00:00. > :00:07.the weekend but brighter, although gardeners beware, night-time frosts.

:00:08. > :00:13.It was a day of contrasts across the UK today, rain coming in from the

:00:14. > :00:18.West but in the south-east, like winds and sunshine, up to 20

:00:19. > :00:21.degrees. Contrast that with six degrees in the East of Scotland. In

:00:22. > :00:25.between we've seen some thunderstorms and more general

:00:26. > :00:30.showers coming in to the western side of the UK. Northern Ireland,

:00:31. > :00:34.Wales and the south-west. The best chance of staying dry is across

:00:35. > :00:37.Lincolnshire and East Anglia. A lot of cloud around generally

:00:38. > :00:41.overnight, some patches of mist and maybe a few patches of fog as well.

:00:42. > :00:45.The lowest temperatures will be in the far north of the UK, but the

:00:46. > :00:50.Northern Isles will also see the best of the weather through the

:00:51. > :01:03.morning. In the east, cloudy, wet and windy, cold, too. Some of the

:01:04. > :01:05.rain gets towards Glasgow. Into double figures for Northern Ireland

:01:06. > :01:08.but a fair bit of cloud and rain. Across northern England, some fog

:01:09. > :01:10.over the hills and quite wet weather coming into the north-east. A lot of

:01:11. > :01:13.cloud through the morning in the south-east, maybe misty over the

:01:14. > :01:19.hills. Not much rain but there will be some. The main focus for the rain

:01:20. > :01:21.is towards the south-west. As we get into the afternoon, those showers

:01:22. > :01:26.will turn heavier. There will be some rumbles of thunder to go with

:01:27. > :01:30.it. But there will also be some spells of sunshine. The sunshine in

:01:31. > :01:33.the London area, temperatures of 16 or 17 degrees. But not so in the

:01:34. > :01:38.north-east of England, and much colder day than it was today.

:01:39. > :01:42.Brighter weather in the far north of Scotland, and that will be drifting

:01:43. > :01:45.its way south through the day on Friday. But with that brighter

:01:46. > :01:49.weather come some colder air. A bit of a change in the feel of things

:01:50. > :01:56.towards Friday, but it will be a decent day. It will be a decent day

:01:57. > :02:01.the most of us, but it turns cold on Friday night. By dawn on Saturday we

:02:02. > :02:05.are hovering around freezing. Quite widespread frost to start the

:02:06. > :02:08.weekend, but it looks like a pretty decent day with high pressure firmly

:02:09. > :02:13.in charge. Most places will be dry and bright with a variable amount of

:02:14. > :02:17.cloud. On Saturday into Sunday, the weather front will drift across the

:02:18. > :02:20.north bringing outbreaks of rain. Further south, high pressure brings

:02:21. > :02:24.pretty decent weather. It will be quite cold through the night and in

:02:25. > :02:25.the mornings, but looking pretty good for the most part. However,
