:00:00. > :00:00.Holiday Weekend, pretty optimistic on that at the moment, that there

:00:00. > :00:00.will be on that at the moment, that there

:00:00. > :00:11.will be some sunshine around. More on that in the national forecast.

:00:12. > :00:16.Our weather is taking a turn for the colder. You would be forgiven for

:00:17. > :00:21.thinking that does not bode well for the Bank Holiday Weekend. But as we

:00:22. > :00:25.go through the weekend, temperatures will be performing a U-turn, and

:00:26. > :00:29.recovering, as we will see. England and Wales has borne the brunt of

:00:30. > :00:36.some heavy downpours, with still some lively show is out there at the

:00:37. > :00:40.moment. But they are fading. Clearer skies in Scotland, so here, some

:00:41. > :00:48.spots will get close to freezing if not below tonight. But a better day

:00:49. > :00:52.on the way tomorrow. Even where you start with cloud, it will eventually

:00:53. > :01:00.brighten up. For Scotland, some sunny spells from the word go. So, a

:01:01. > :01:06.chilly but bright start. Other areas, a pretty slow start, with

:01:07. > :01:10.showers dotted about in eastern England. At least the blanket of

:01:11. > :01:15.cloud overnight will stop the temperature going down too far.

:01:16. > :01:21.Moving on through the day, very slowly, we will see some bright or

:01:22. > :01:26.sunny spells coming through. Still one or two showers for East Anglia,

:01:27. > :01:33.south-east England, but the vast majority will stay dry. It will feel

:01:34. > :01:36.colder, compared to today. But for the northern half of the UK, it will

:01:37. > :01:42.feel a bit better. However, tomorrow night, temperatures will drop, and

:01:43. > :01:48.away from the cloudy areas in the west, and the North Sea coast, in

:01:49. > :01:54.between, we will see a ground frost developing in places. If you are a

:01:55. > :01:59.gardener, bear that in mind for Friday night Saturday morning. But

:02:00. > :02:04.this is the big feature for the start of the weekend, high pressure,

:02:05. > :02:09.looking promising, but we have this weather front trying to come in from

:02:10. > :02:12.the Atlantic. Although the vast majority on Saturday will have a

:02:13. > :02:15.decent day, to the west, we have increasing cloud, which could be

:02:16. > :02:23.affecting Northern Ireland and western Scotland later. Some of that

:02:24. > :02:29.rain on Sunday fading into Scotland and northern England. And then on

:02:30. > :02:30.Bank Holiday Monday, the rain has gone and the warmth is coming back.
