:00:08. > :00:14.The month of May is often thought of as the transition from Spring into

:00:15. > :00:19.summer. It can have a variety of weather. We've seen just that in

:00:20. > :00:22.just one day. In fact, we had a window of sunshine, it was quite

:00:23. > :00:25.pleasant, but at the same time we had this speed of cloud and rain

:00:26. > :00:29.moving up from the channel to the North of England and sharp showers

:00:30. > :00:39.to the north and west. If you managed to dodge them and keep the

:00:40. > :00:41.sunshine, you have the warmth. Highs of 18 degrees. Underneath the cloud

:00:42. > :00:44.and rain, a disappointing 11 degrees. Very cool for this time of

:00:45. > :00:46.year. We will continue to see the showers fading to the west, but

:00:47. > :00:50.temperatures are pretty uniform through the night. We pick up more

:00:51. > :00:55.persistent rain spilling in off the North Sea. This could cause one or

:00:56. > :00:59.two problems through tomorrow and into Wednesday. There's a level of

:01:00. > :01:03.uncertainty as to where that will be sitting, potentially across North

:01:04. > :01:07.Norfolk, East Midlands and eastern England. Weather warnings have been

:01:08. > :01:10.issued due to the intensity of the rainfall. A lot of surface water and

:01:11. > :01:15.spray and maybe the potential for some localised flooding. A cool

:01:16. > :01:20.north-easterly breeze as well, so a rather dismal feel to the day with

:01:21. > :01:24.some of the rain still quite heavy. A different story up into the far

:01:25. > :01:28.north-east of Scotland. We should see some decent weather for the next

:01:29. > :01:32.couple of days, dry with some sunshine. A few isolated showers to

:01:33. > :01:35.the west and into Northern Ireland, but in comparison to that than to

:01:36. > :01:40.the thundery showers today it is not as heavy or widespread. More shelter

:01:41. > :01:44.into south-west Wales, should stay largely dry. The risk of a few

:01:45. > :01:47.showers further inland. For Cornwall, certainly the potential

:01:48. > :01:51.for some better weather through tomorrow in comparison to today.

:01:52. > :01:58.Along the channel coast, it could stay cloudy with dribs and drabs of

:01:59. > :02:01.rain. Highs of 15 or 16. It's the north-east that could potentially

:02:02. > :02:10.see another wet day in prospect on Wednesday, with the low pressure

:02:11. > :02:12.sitting out in the North Sea, feeding in these pulses of wet

:02:13. > :02:14.weather from time to time. Further south, hopefully the cloud should

:02:15. > :02:16.break and the rain ease. Temperatures will respond a little.

:02:17. > :02:23.The far north-east of Scotland stays bright. Don't despair, it does look

:02:24. > :02:28.as though we move towards the end of the week with things turning that

:02:29. > :02:32.little bit drier and hopefully a little brighter. For the final three

:02:33. > :02:38.days of May it could get a little better indeed.
