:00:00. > :00:00.showers and cooler fresher weather through this weekend. With more on

:00:00. > :00:20.that here's Louise. Temperatures up to 25 degrees, 7

:00:21. > :00:24.Fahrenheit. A different story north and west. Particularly in western

:00:25. > :00:28.Scotland. Only 17 degrees. But the winds were a feature here, gusting

:00:29. > :00:33.to 50 mph from time to time. And there was rain as well. That weather

:00:34. > :00:37.front continues to meander south and east through northern England

:00:38. > :00:41.overnight. Not bringing much rain. Weakening all the time. We start off

:00:42. > :00:45.in the extreme south-east with lots of blue sky and sunshine. There s

:00:46. > :00:49.our dying weather front. To the north and west, rather breezy with

:00:50. > :00:54.showers piling in. Those showers will be in western Scotland and

:00:55. > :00:57.Northern Ireland into the afternoon. Sheltered eastern areas should be

:00:58. > :01:01.drier and brighter. Hopefully as the weather front slips south into the

:01:02. > :01:06.north of England we might see breaks in the cloud.

:01:07. > :01:11.A band of nuisance cloud, the ot spot of rain, maybe a little drizzle

:01:12. > :01:15.in the north Devonshire and Cornish coast. From Exeter and Somerset

:01:16. > :01:21.east of, that beautiful sunshine and heat. 26, possibly 27 degrees.

:01:22. > :01:25.Hottest day of the year so far. The Wimbledon, hardly a cloud in the

:01:26. > :01:29.sky, but high UV if you are going to be there watching the tennis.

:01:30. > :01:33.For Friday, we cling on to the sunshine and the warmth in the

:01:34. > :01:37.south-east. That's the exception rather than the rule. Another

:01:38. > :01:41.frontal system, another area of low pressure pushes in, bringing

:01:42. > :01:45.particularly heavy rain across sheltered western areas and breezy.

:01:46. > :01:50.Cool and dispinting under the cloud and rain. 16-17 degrees. Highest

:01:51. > :01:54.values of 25, maybe 26 in the south-east corner.

:01:55. > :01:57.The start of the weekend looks frightening particularly if you are

:01:58. > :02:03.out and about in England and Wales. But this frontal system hopefully

:02:04. > :02:06.clearing to allow brighter weather. Maybe a disappointing start but

:02:07. > :02:11.hopefully things will improve. We should see some sunny spells coming

:02:12. > :02:15.in, a scattering of showers. A fresher feel across the country.

:02:16. > :02:19.It looks as though the showery theme will continue into Sunday. Breezy as

:02:20. > :02:23.well. Hopefully the South East escaping the worst of the showers

:02:24. > :02:28.with highest values of 22 degrees. As we move towards the weekend,

:02:29. > :02:29.fresher for all, breezy and at times showers.
