:00:07. > :00:12.For those of you who haven't already heard, we've recorded our highest

:00:13. > :00:18.temperature so far this year, and that was in Writtle in Essex. It

:00:19. > :00:22.looks highly likely as well that we could see temperatures of a similar

:00:23. > :00:27.value for tomorrow. Anywhere through central London to the east could see

:00:28. > :00:31.highs of 27 to 29 degrees. But that is only one part of the story. The

:00:32. > :00:34.second part of the story is rain moving in as we speak across the far

:00:35. > :00:39.north and west. Some of that rain will turn heavy through the night

:00:40. > :00:43.across Northern Ireland and into western Scotland. I had a bit, cloud

:00:44. > :00:49.with pieces of rain but it will be a pretty mild night to follow. We

:00:50. > :00:53.start off tomorrow with these two stories. Plenty of sunshine and

:00:54. > :00:58.already warm building in the south-east corner, but the cloud

:00:59. > :01:02.continues to march steadily east and will be a bit of a nuisance

:01:03. > :01:06.throughout the day. We should see some improvement into Northern

:01:07. > :01:09.Ireland by the afternoon and for the Western Isles. The rain perhaps not

:01:10. > :01:14.quite as heavy into eastern Scotland, but there will be heavier

:01:15. > :01:18.pulses towards the lot Lake District and further west across Wales and

:01:19. > :01:21.into the south-west, a disappointing afternoon follows. More cloud

:01:22. > :01:25.towards the Midlands and up into the east of the Pennines, but we've got

:01:26. > :01:28.that sunshine and heat reserved for the south-east corner. The outside

:01:29. > :01:33.chance at the end of the day may be seeing a sharp shower pushing up

:01:34. > :01:38.from the near continent. The more significant rain arrives through the

:01:39. > :01:41.night toward Saturday morning with the frontal system. There is still a

:01:42. > :01:46.level of uncertainty to the timings and the clearance of that, so

:01:47. > :01:50.Saturday may well start of bit grey, wet and disappointing but, as it

:01:51. > :01:54.clears away, some brighter skies follow. But it's breezy and fresher

:01:55. > :01:58.with plenty of showers. A noticeable difference in the feel of the

:01:59. > :02:01.weather in the south-east, 23 degrees by Saturday afternoon. We

:02:02. > :02:06.maintain that beam into Sunday as well. Plenty of frequent, blustery

:02:07. > :02:10.showers into the north and west just that little bit drier in the

:02:11. > :02:15.south-east corner. For something completely different, we've got our

:02:16. > :02:25.first Atlantic Array Kane of the season, Hurricane Arthur, just in

:02:26. > :02:27.time for Independence weekend. But it doesn't look likely to make

:02:28. > :02:28.landfall. It will brush along the eastern seaboard, enhancing the

:02:29. > :02:38.shower When Barbara and I

:02:39. > :02:41.started the Review, we were seeking to examine

:02:42. > :02:43.the workings and the truthfulness

:02:44. > :02:47.of establishments. Albatross?

:02:48. > :02:54.There it is. The albatross. The albatross is going to need

:02:55. > :02:56.a hair-styling. A thrilling tale of double agents

:02:57. > :03:03.and a man on the run. John Buchan's flair

:03:04. > :03:06.for wartime propaganda made his bestseller,

:03:07. > :03:09.The Thirty-Nine Steps,
