:00:00. > :00:00.later in the day. Before th`t, plenty of sunshine.

:00:00. > :00:19.Today's weather played out like a classic World Cup match - a tale of

:00:20. > :00:23.two halves. Highest temperatures for this year.

:00:24. > :00:28.A different story further north and west. A lot of cloud around. It was

:00:29. > :00:35.breezy, and yes, we saw significant rain. This rain has to clear further

:00:36. > :00:39.east overnight and then it introduces a different feel to our

:00:40. > :00:45.weather - sunny spells but also showers. So a good drenching for the

:00:46. > :00:50.gardens overnight. Some of the rain heavy over north-east England for a

:00:51. > :00:55.time and stretching up towards south-east Scotland as this weather

:00:56. > :00:59.front goes further east. First thing there is the potential for some of

:01:00. > :01:03.that rain to be lingering over eastern Scotland and north-east

:01:04. > :01:08.England. The same as we go through Lincolnshire, also into the East

:01:09. > :01:11.Midlands, East Anglia and the south-east corner. A contrasting

:01:12. > :01:16.start to the last couple of mornings. We are likely to see an

:01:17. > :01:20.improvement as the day continues. That rain easing away. Hopefully the

:01:21. > :01:24.cloud will thin and break for some sunny spells to come through. The

:01:25. > :01:28.showers heaviest, most wide-spread further north and west. Here we

:01:29. > :01:32.could pick up some rumbles of thunder as well.

:01:33. > :01:37.If you dodge the showers over England and Wales, 23-24 Celsius is

:01:38. > :01:42.possible. Still not a bad afternoon. There is some exciting sporting

:01:43. > :01:46.events taking place this weekend. For the Tour de France in Yorkshire

:01:47. > :01:50.- look at this, a beautiful place, beautiful weather to finish the day

:01:51. > :01:57.with 17 Celsius. A drizzly morning, yes, for Wimbledon. Hopefully by the

:01:58. > :02:04.time of the lady's final, decent sunny spells. After a damp drizzly

:02:05. > :02:10.start for the British Grand Prix, yes, potential for showers for

:02:11. > :02:14.qualifying. Low pressure still influencing the weather up to the

:02:15. > :02:19.north-west. This weak weather front on Sunday again enhancing the shower

:02:20. > :02:23.threat here. I suspect on Sunday most of the showers will be up into

:02:24. > :02:27.the far north and west. Late in the day some will drift further east.

:02:28. > :02:29.Highest
