:00:00. > :00:19.freshening breeze and fine and dry. The national picture is with John

:00:20. > :00:25.Hammond. This was the scene in south Dakota

:00:26. > :00:30.earlier, the earliest snow for well over 100 years.

:00:31. > :00:35.We have had a plunge of cold weather from the Arctic, coming down to the

:00:36. > :00:39.plains of the US. Brought about about I a kink diving to the south.

:00:40. > :00:44.Let's follow the jetstream across the Atlantic. It takes on another

:00:45. > :00:52.kink. It is splitting into two. Stranded between is the island in

:00:53. > :00:57.the stream here, a vortex. Around that there are clouds spiralling

:00:58. > :01:02.around like a Katherine wheel but going nowhere fast. It is stuck

:01:03. > :01:06.there. It will take a week or so before arriving on our doorstep In

:01:07. > :01:10.the meantime, the low pressure is kept at bay. We looked at the high

:01:11. > :01:14.pressure and the air from the east for our weather over the next few

:01:15. > :01:19.days. At the moment nearly all of us are dry and will stay that way for

:01:20. > :01:23.the next couple of days. There are areas of cloud around. One such area

:01:24. > :01:29.is moving north-westwards across England and Wales. To the north of

:01:30. > :01:31.that are clear skies but fog developing in north-east England,

:01:32. > :01:35.Scotland and Northern Ireland. Temperatures in the towns and the

:01:36. > :01:39.cities in double figures but under the clear skies across the glens of

:01:40. > :01:44.Northern Ireland and Scotland, another chilly one. Milder in the

:01:45. > :01:48.south with the cloud cover. Through tomorrow morning, starting misty and

:01:49. > :01:52.murky. Some places starting off sunny. So a mixture. Things to even

:01:53. > :01:57.themselves out during the day. Most of us looking forward to fine sunny

:01:58. > :02:02.weather at times but areas of cloud floating around. The main thing is

:02:03. > :02:05.that nearly all of us will be dry. Feeling dry and pleasant.

:02:06. > :02:11.Temperatures getting up to the high teens and the low 20s. The winds not

:02:12. > :02:16.too strong. Just a light easterly across the southern counties. If you

:02:17. > :02:21.have outdoor plans you will not be disappointed, it is set fair almost

:02:22. > :02:24.nationwide tomorrow. The same through the weekend. Dry weather.

:02:25. > :02:28.Some sunshine around. The odd shower. A greater chance of showers
