:00:00. > :00:00.precipitation we get will be of a wintry nation and Thursday is one we

:00:00. > :00:00.have to watch out for. The weekend outlook, it stays chilly with a

:00:07. > :00:07.northerly wind and possibly frosty nights. The national weather

:00:08. > :00:19.forecast now. Wet and windy weather across the

:00:20. > :00:23.western side of Scotland. Blood-pressure is in charge of the

:00:24. > :00:26.weather, lots of isobars and it remains windy overnight across

:00:27. > :00:30.northern and western parts of Scotland. It will blow a gale here.

:00:31. > :00:34.That is the north-west quadrant of the UK, that is where we expect most

:00:35. > :00:39.of the overnight rain. Within north-westerly breeze it is chilly

:00:40. > :00:43.and by the end of the night it is three or 4 degrees in major towns

:00:44. > :00:47.and cities, rural spots lower than that, and a risk of icy patches in

:00:48. > :00:51.some places. Across the eastern side of Scotland not much rain, more on

:00:52. > :00:56.the west, still breezy but not as windy as it is now. Northern Ireland

:00:57. > :01:00.will be fairly cloudy with some rain in the morning, not much in northern

:01:01. > :01:07.England but some in the Pennines, but for the it will be dry.

:01:08. > :01:11.Essentially a dry start. More in the way of rain across parts of Wales

:01:12. > :01:15.and the south-west of England. The east side of England and East

:01:16. > :01:19.Scotland seemed the best sunny spells in the morning, by the

:01:20. > :01:23.afternoon more in the way of cloud, as patchy rain drifts eastwards.

:01:24. > :01:26.After a chilly start most places in single figures through the

:01:27. > :01:30.afternoon, although one or two in the south-west might get double

:01:31. > :01:34.figures. In the evening sun patchy rain, and then we will see another

:01:35. > :01:38.weather system coming in from the north and west drifting down to the

:01:39. > :01:42.Midlands by dawn on Wednesday with further showers, some turning wintry

:01:43. > :01:46.over the high ground. Starting Wednesday in single figures again.

:01:47. > :01:49.Wednesday will be a windy day for sure, blustery winds and lots of

:01:50. > :01:53.showers across Scotland, getting right across the country. Some of

:01:54. > :01:59.them will be wintry over higher ground, a few wintry showers over

:02:00. > :02:03.the hills of Northern Ireland and northern England. Further north

:02:04. > :02:07.quite cold and you have to factor in the blustery wind making it feel

:02:08. > :02:10.colder. On the subject of cold, exceptionally low temperatures in

:02:11. > :02:15.the south-east of Europe, no change for the next couple of days but it

:02:16. > :02:19.turns less cold in Germany and in Poland. On Thursday, the winds come

:02:20. > :02:24.down from the north and north-west and lots of isobars on the chart

:02:25. > :02:26.meaning it will be a windy day and a significant wind-chill factor and

:02:27. > :02:27.further wintry showers. Later on
