:00:00. > :00:00.High pressure stays in charge of the next few days, no great changes over

:00:00. > :00:00.the next few next few days, no great changes over

:00:00. > :00:09.the next few days, more sunshine on the way.

:00:10. > :00:17.Despite high-pressure sitting across the country so only slow changes in

:00:18. > :00:22.the weather, we have had a variety of different weathers, for example

:00:23. > :00:26.this beautiful sunset in Southampton which was shared by a Weather

:00:27. > :00:30.Watcher, but grey and misty in Derby thanks to an awful lot of cloud

:00:31. > :00:33.around and very little deviation by day or night from the rather grey

:00:34. > :00:37.routine. That is because we have a weather

:00:38. > :00:42.front, albeit very weak and very little wind to move the cloud and

:00:43. > :00:46.the mist on. Those areas furthest from the weather front to the south,

:00:47. > :00:50.we will see frosty weather under clear skies and to the north and

:00:51. > :00:58.east, but for most of us the code acts like a blanket, stopping

:00:59. > :01:00.temperatures from falling down so relatively mild. Under the clear

:01:01. > :01:04.skies it is another harsh frost. There is fog around and the cold air

:01:05. > :01:08.is never too far away, it is a really harsh period of winter at the

:01:09. > :01:11.moment down to the Mediterranean and at times the cold right,

:01:12. > :01:17.particularly towards the weekend, will further our way. Where we have

:01:18. > :01:22.cold and the frosty weather, these are the sorts of seeds we have. That

:01:23. > :01:25.was West Berkshire this morning, those scenes will be quite prevalent

:01:26. > :01:29.across the southern half of the UK. There could be mist and fog across

:01:30. > :01:33.East Anglia, the Midlands and Wales and we have seen how misty it is to

:01:34. > :01:38.Derbyshire, that low cloud is sitting on the hills.

:01:39. > :01:41.Very few breaks in the cloud initially elsewhere except perhaps

:01:42. > :01:45.the East and the north-east, then we have another weather front, some

:01:46. > :01:48.patchy rain across the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, although it

:01:49. > :01:53.looks set to pull away from Shetland tomorrow. A slightly better chance

:01:54. > :01:56.of more brightness coming through in Northern Ireland, we will have that

:01:57. > :02:00.in parts of eastern Scotland, some breaks elsewhere but the majorities

:02:01. > :02:04.in the south, perhaps more so than today. We could see more cloud

:02:05. > :02:13.coming into East Anglia and the south-east later. Temperatures have

:02:14. > :02:14.evened out somewhat, five to nine Celsius.

:02:15. > :02:17.Subtle changes on Friday, perhaps more brightness across Northern

:02:18. > :02:23.Ireland and Scotland, less in the South, meaning less frost on the

:02:24. > :02:29.whole. The high-pressure keeps things drive for the weekend. There

:02:30. > :02:30.could be spotted drizzly rain and even sleet and snow but
