:00:00. > :00:00.feel cooler. Can we keep it going until the start of the new week? I

:00:00. > :00:00.suspect we can. Unconfirmed about -- concerned about the fog around. Here

:00:07. > :00:17.is Helen with the national picture. Good evening. The weather is upon

:00:18. > :00:20.us. The cloud has made all the difference this week in particular.

:00:21. > :00:24.We have had some wonderful weather watcher pictures, this is Marlowe in

:00:25. > :00:30.Buckinghamshire, this was Conwy earlier in the day. Some areas still

:00:31. > :00:34.have the cloud. What a difference that makes. Edinburgh, the central

:00:35. > :00:43.lowlands, plagued by this band of narrow cloud, overnight more areas

:00:44. > :00:46.share in the frost. Pretty widespread, the frost overnight,

:00:47. > :00:50.cold across northern England, Southern Scotland and Northern

:00:51. > :00:54.Ireland than it has been this week. These are town and city temperatures

:00:55. > :00:59.but in the countryside a harsh frost and sharp in some areas and colder

:01:00. > :01:03.than it has been. Because we have had a weak weather front we have

:01:04. > :01:06.more moisture around so fog is falling and we could have more

:01:07. > :01:10.across eastern England and eastern and northern Scotland and the odd

:01:11. > :01:14.pocket elsewhere which will take time to clear at this time of year.

:01:15. > :01:18.Once it does so for central and southern Scotland it looks much

:01:19. > :01:21.brighter tomorrow than it has been all week and parts of Northern

:01:22. > :01:25.Ireland should have sunshine in the morning. A semi start in northern

:01:26. > :01:30.England barring the fog which could be problematic for the Vale of York.

:01:31. > :01:34.If the cloud comes in later it could turn out to be a cold and grey

:01:35. > :01:37.afternoon with a few wintry flurries. Not significant but

:01:38. > :01:46.nevertheless wintry at lower levels. We could see more cloud in the south

:01:47. > :01:50.and west, bright rather than sunny into the afternoon, but cold, cold

:01:51. > :01:53.weather sunny or cloudy. With breaks in the cloud and other cold night

:01:54. > :01:58.tomorrow night is expected and with a few heavy showers in the west and

:01:59. > :02:00.a frost, there could be more problems with this heading into

:02:01. > :02:04.Sunday morning. And again, some patchy fog. On balance Sunday looks

:02:05. > :02:09.like the cloudy day of the weekend, you can see there is a risk of

:02:10. > :02:14.wintry showers in the east, we have a few showers for Western Southern

:02:15. > :02:17.Open area is so central and eastern areas faring better with a few

:02:18. > :02:21.breaks in the cloud for Northern Ireland as well, but essentially

:02:22. > :02:26.still quite a bit of dry and settled weather because the high pressure

:02:27. > :02:27.stays with us. It doesn't change much into the beginning of next
