:00:00. > 3:59:59showers. A little less cold. Let's take a look at the Outlook towards

:00:00. > :00:11.the weekend. Good evening. If you think it was

:00:12. > :00:14.cold today, for many it will be colder still tomorrow. Cold even

:00:15. > :00:18.when we have the sunshine today. This was one of the wonderful

:00:19. > :00:23.weather watcher pictures we had sent in from Cornwall. It contrasts with

:00:24. > :00:28.a cloudy and foggy eastern half of the country, and a bank of cloud.

:00:29. > :00:32.Still foggy, but it is starting to lift. It is being pushed north and

:00:33. > :00:35.west, this bank of cloud. That will continue through the night. We will

:00:36. > :00:41.still have some fog sitting on the hills. Even with the cloud, it will

:00:42. > :00:45.be a cold night, with temperatures away from the far north and west

:00:46. > :00:48.falling to freezing. In the countryside, well below freezing.

:00:49. > :00:52.And on the wind and it will feel better, it already feels better.

:00:53. > :00:56.Giving us some freezing drizzle and snow as well. Although the fog will

:00:57. > :01:00.not be as extensive as recent nights, it will still be heading on

:01:01. > :01:09.the hills and ice will become a player in places. Some drizzle and

:01:10. > :01:13.snow grains falling or frozen surfaces, it could be treacherous on

:01:14. > :01:24.untreated roads and services. A cold start for all and a grey one. The

:01:25. > :01:27.best chance of the sunshine will be in the North West of Scotland.

:01:28. > :01:31.Sunshine was far more abundant today. The day will see some more

:01:32. > :01:38.holes in the cloud, perhaps north-west Wales. We may see sixes

:01:39. > :01:43.and sevens, but for most of us, even when you add on the wind chill and

:01:44. > :01:47.the thermometer is above freezing it will feel below freezing when you

:01:48. > :01:51.are out and about. A better day. The wind is still a feature on Friday,

:01:52. > :01:55.but you can see the direction, more from a southerly direction, perhaps

:01:56. > :01:59.the Bay of Biscay. Slightly less cold. There are still the potential

:02:00. > :02:03.for snowflakes. When the showers coming, on the strengthening wind,

:02:04. > :02:06.it could be quite heavy and some winteriness over the hills. It does

:02:07. > :02:11.look like we will see some showery bursts of rain on Friday. Still

:02:12. > :02:14.going to feel cold, especially in eastern areas, despite double

:02:15. > :02:19.figures later in the West. We have a lot of cloud and that feed of wind.

:02:20. > :02:23.Saturday sees this showery band moving its way across the UK. Still

:02:24. > :02:28.wintry across the hills. That is the first area of low pressure for a

:02:29. > :02:29.time crossing the UK. Sunday May slip to the south, we will
