:00:00. > :00:00.there will be plenty more of this weather into the weekend. A bit of

:00:00. > :00:00.fog around to watch out for. weather into the weekend. A bit of

:00:00. > :00:00.fog around to watch out for. Jon Hammond with the national forecast

:00:07. > :00:10.now. Good evening. There is some rain in

:00:11. > :00:16.the forecast but not a lot. Plenty of dry weather to look forward to as

:00:17. > :00:20.we head to the weekend. Cloud delivering some rain but plenty of

:00:21. > :00:26.spaces in between, hence my optimism. One of these blobs of

:00:27. > :00:30.cloud is producing dampness right now. We could see a glancing blow

:00:31. > :00:34.across the far south-east through the early hours and later some rain

:00:35. > :00:38.arriving across the far south-west. In between some hill fog overnight,

:00:39. > :00:43.not desperately cold, for most a touch of frost across the northern

:00:44. > :00:47.Glens of Scotland. At the other end of the UK some wet weather first

:00:48. > :00:50.thing for breakfast, pushing through Devon and Cornwall into South Wales.

:00:51. > :00:54.It won't hang around. Things will brighten up later in the day. Ahead

:00:55. > :00:58.of that a lot of low cloud around, a rather grey start to the day. Only

:00:59. > :01:03.slow improvements, not much sunshine. But it will be mild. The

:01:04. > :01:05.odd shower pushing up through the Irish sea through parts of Northern

:01:06. > :01:10.Ireland to south-west Scotland but most of Scotland will have a dry

:01:11. > :01:13.start to the day. Chilly across the northern Glens, a touch of frost.

:01:14. > :01:17.Here some of the best of the sunshine through the morning.

:01:18. > :01:22.Meanwhile, this showery rain pushing up through parts of Wales and

:01:23. > :01:24.southern England and the Midlands, eventually to northern Counties of

:01:25. > :01:27.England, still thunder possible. Brightening up behind with late

:01:28. > :01:32.sunshine for Wales and south-west England. Brightness too for Northern

:01:33. > :01:37.Ireland. A mild one, ten or 11 will be typical. That feature clears off

:01:38. > :01:40.to the North Sea. Low pressure moves across the far north of Scotland,

:01:41. > :01:45.most of the action will be around that area of low pressure on

:01:46. > :01:48.Thursday. Some blustery winds and a few showers rattling in across parts

:01:49. > :01:51.of Scotland and Northern Ireland. The odd shower for northern England.

:01:52. > :01:56.Further south on Thursday a quiet day. Areas of fog which should lift

:01:57. > :02:01.to reveal sunshine and again with light winds it should feel

:02:02. > :02:06.pleasantly mild. Into Friday, a little bump of high pressure across

:02:07. > :02:14.the country, that usually means dry weather. The catch is we could see

:02:15. > :02:19.scenes like this on Friday, fairly thick patches of fog. Hopefully that

:02:20. > :02:21.will clear to reveal pleasant sunshine, especially across central

:02:22. > :02:25.and eastern areas. It will cloud up further west later in the day with

:02:26. > :02:29.patchy rain. For most on Friday it should be a nice day with

:02:30. > :02:30.temperatures again doing pretty well. It
