:00:00. > :00:00.little milder, but it will be a wet start and it will brighten up later.

:00:00. > :00:11.As you have just seen, after a day in which some of you have been

:00:12. > :00:14.shedding the layers, you will be putting them back on for the rest of

:00:15. > :00:17.this week. Big changes ahead, all down to where the air has been

:00:18. > :00:23.coming from. Today, it originated in the Caribbean, hence the name

:00:24. > :00:27.tropical maritime air. Temperatures peaked at 18 degrees. But later this

:00:28. > :00:32.week, the winds go to the north-west, a different source,

:00:33. > :00:35.polar maritime air. Still over the sea, but from a colder place, so

:00:36. > :00:41.temperatures will struggle. Bringing about that change, a strengthening

:00:42. > :00:45.jet stream. At the moment, we still have tropical maritime air with us

:00:46. > :00:52.across southern parts of the UK. With it, lots of cloud. Moisture

:00:53. > :00:56.across parts of Wales, East Anglia and the south-east. Temperatures are

:00:57. > :00:59.holding up. A chilly night from northern England, Scotland and

:01:00. > :01:03.Northern Ireland, with clear skies. Maybe close to a frost in parts of

:01:04. > :01:07.eastern Scotland, but mostly frost free. In these areas, we see the

:01:08. > :01:10.best of the Tuesday sunshine initially. A better start in

:01:11. > :01:14.north-west England compared with the day, but things will change to the

:01:15. > :01:17.west. Rain will become heavy as the breeze picks up. Across Wales, the

:01:18. > :01:22.Midlands and southern England, it will be a more grey day compared

:01:23. > :01:25.with today. Patchy rain will become more persistent towards Devon,

:01:26. > :01:29.Cornwall and West Wales later. But where you have the cloud, rain or

:01:30. > :01:36.even sunshine, temperatures are above where they should be. We

:01:37. > :01:39.finished the day with wet and windy weather across Scotland, Northern

:01:40. > :01:42.Ireland and northern England. The weather front responsible for the

:01:43. > :01:49.rain sits across England into Wednesday. But for all, the winds

:01:50. > :01:51.will pick up into Wednesday. A deep area of low pressure to the

:01:52. > :01:57.north-east of Scotland could bring costs. Colder air into Scotland,

:01:58. > :02:03.Northern Ireland and northern England. Maybe even a few wintry

:02:04. > :02:08.showers. But the southernmost counties will have another grey day.

:02:09. > :02:11.Temperatures will be potentially still in the teens, but back to

:02:12. > :02:15.where they should be further north. This is one to watch through the

:02:16. > :02:21.week. A big area of low pressure potentially for Thursday. The

:02:22. > :02:23.question is how windy it will get. If you have travel plans on

:02:24. > :02:27.Thursday, stay tuned to the forecast. Once it clear through,

:02:28. > :02:29.cold air is with us. So forget
