:00:00. > :00:00.on Saturday. time of year. The chance of a shower

:00:00. > :00:12.on Saturday. Sunday will be dry. Hello, it will cool off over the

:00:13. > :00:17.next few days but that's not unusual, given how warm it was

:00:18. > :00:22.today. This was London. We just had the warmest March day since 2012, 20

:00:23. > :00:26.two Celsius in the Sunnis skies in the south-east. It was much warmer

:00:27. > :00:30.than recently in north-eastern Scotland, but in between we had a

:00:31. > :00:33.zone of outbreaks of rain. It's pretty wet in south-west Scotland

:00:34. > :00:38.and North West England at the moment. This was the scene earlier,

:00:39. > :00:42.with rainy skies. There's more rain to come overnight. We could see a

:00:43. > :00:46.few splashes running eastwards into England, but most of the wet weather

:00:47. > :00:49.is further west. We will see heavy rain arriving in Northern Ireland.

:00:50. > :00:54.Further training north-west England and also for Scotland. -- further

:00:55. > :01:00.rain. It will stay very mild for the time of year. Tomorrow, there may be

:01:01. > :01:03.a little early sunshine for East Anglia and the south-east, but we

:01:04. > :01:21.have a zone of cloud and showery bits of rain to run eastwards but

:01:22. > :01:25.very hit and miss. The main rain is further north, running away from

:01:26. > :01:28.western parts of Wales. The Murray Firth will be dry because it's more

:01:29. > :01:30.sheltered. This week where the front that will transfer cloud and a few

:01:31. > :01:33.showers eastwards into England. The heaviest rain should move away from

:01:34. > :01:36.Wales and north-west England, clearing Northern Ireland, some

:01:37. > :01:40.sunshine in the afternoon, but continuing to run northwards across

:01:41. > :01:44.Scotland. Much colder for Scotland than today. Elsewhere, with some

:01:45. > :01:50.sunshine, it should be a decent afternoon. 15-17. As we move into

:01:51. > :01:54.the new month, typical April showers for the weekend. Those should move

:01:55. > :01:57.away overnight. We'll have a much drier second half of the weekend.

:01:58. > :02:02.The first half of the weekend looks like this. A fair bit of cloud

:02:03. > :02:08.around. Some slow-moving showers. The showers could be rather heavy,

:02:09. > :02:13.hit and miss. It may be dry across south-eastern East Anglia. The

:02:14. > :02:16.showers will tend to fade away during the evening, bumped away by

:02:17. > :02:20.the ridge of high pressure that's building up from the south. Hence

:02:21. > :02:24.the drier end to the weekend. The weather fronts are being kept at bay

:02:25. > :02:27.for the time being. Sunday should be a dry day. A chilly start, maybe

:02:28. > :02:44.some cloud flattening Explore the speed of life with

:02:45. > :03:08.Radio 3's Free Thinking Festival. I'll be looking at whether Russia
