:00:00. > :00:10.Good evening. Another cold night lies ahead after what was a chilly

:00:11. > :00:18.day for swathes of the UK. This is the Highlands of Scotland. 25th of

:00:19. > :00:20.April and lying snow. Even snow further south, temporary

:00:21. > :00:24.accumulations in Staffordshire. Just down the road in Dudley, it was

:00:25. > :00:30.sunny spells and rain showers. A real mixed bag, rain, hail, sleet

:00:31. > :00:34.and some snow. All those showers moving south on that cold northerly

:00:35. > :00:37.wind, which is still with us overnight. It is going to be another

:00:38. > :00:42.frosty night. The skies are clear on the western side of the UK. We will

:00:43. > :00:49.keep wintry showers going. Further east, where the winds are strong,

:00:50. > :00:52.that accentuates the chilly feel. Further west, there's a frost here.

:00:53. > :00:58.Towns and cities, two or three degrees. Rural spots a few degrees

:00:59. > :01:01.below. Quite a hash frost for this time of year. Maybe one or two early

:01:02. > :01:04.showers clipping into the tip of Cornwall. General lip in the

:01:05. > :01:08.south-west and in Wales, a lot of sunshine. Patchy cloud through the

:01:09. > :01:11.Midlands, won't amount to too much. Still potentially wintry showers

:01:12. > :01:14.affecting the Eastern coastal strip of England. Most of northern England

:01:15. > :01:17.does well through the morning, but it's cold in the sunshine, as it

:01:18. > :01:21.will be in Northern Ireland and across much of Scotland. One or two

:01:22. > :01:24.showers getting going in the far north and west. The main focal area

:01:25. > :01:28.for the showers will be the central and Eastern parts of England. Much

:01:29. > :01:32.like today, some of those could be heavy. Thunder and hail mixed in.

:01:33. > :01:34.The showers are fewer and further between across the western side.

:01:35. > :01:40.Good spells of sunshine here. Tending to cloud over in Scotland.

:01:41. > :01:44.12 degrees or so in London. Around 8 or 9 for Glasgow and for Belfast.

:01:45. > :01:49.Through the evening, showers tend to fade away. In the southern half of

:01:50. > :01:57.the UK, the skies clear and temperatures drop away. We see quite

:01:58. > :02:01.a harsh frost developing. Further north, though, no such frost

:02:02. > :02:05.problems. We have this cloud and patchy rain spilling in. That's down

:02:06. > :02:09.to a weak weather front, which moves south on Thursday, bringing the

:02:10. > :02:13.cloud and patchy rain with it. Also bringing much less colder even

:02:14. > :02:16.milder air. That's noticeable in Northern Ireland and Scotland,

:02:17. > :02:20.temperatures up by maybe even four degrees for some. Temperatures might

:02:21. > :02:24.get up by a degree or so across England and Wales after a bright

:02:25. > :02:26.start, it clouds over in the south-east. 13 or so degrees in

:02:27. > :02:36.London. It's 12 or 13 for Glasgow I've got some good news.

:02:37. > :02:39.Did you hear?
