:00:00. > 3:59:59Saturday. Fresher conditions for Sunday. Here is the forecast
:00:00. > :00:00.nationally. Sunday. Here is the forecast
:00:00. > :00:07.nationally. Good evening. It was a lfl day for
:00:08. > :00:11.large swathes of the United Kingdom. It turned into a lovely evening.
:00:12. > :00:15.This stunning photo was taken by one of our weather watchers in Suffolk
:00:16. > :00:18.not long ago. Here is confirmation of a lovely day for many, a lot of
:00:19. > :00:21.sunshine across the north. Even this cloud tended to break up but there
:00:22. > :00:24.were one or two showers in Wales. Now we are looking at west for the
:00:25. > :00:29.next weather system heading our way. Ahead of that we have this southerly
:00:30. > :00:33.breeze that will keep things mild overnight tonight. Also a bit of
:00:34. > :00:36.patchy mist and maybe some low cloud developing as well. The worst of the
:00:37. > :00:39.visibility overnight will be coming in from the English channel, low
:00:40. > :00:42.clouds and mist and drifting a little bit further inland. The odd
:00:43. > :00:45.shower for northern England, generally clouding over from the
:00:46. > :00:51.west. This rain just about gets into the west side of Northern Ireland by
:00:52. > :00:55.the end of the night. 14 in Glasgow, in Cardiff and in London, as well. A
:00:56. > :00:59.few places probably higher than that. A lot of warm air across much
:01:00. > :01:03.of the United Kingdom through the day on Thursday. That warm air
:01:04. > :01:07.coming in ahead of the weather front, behind that there is fresher
:01:08. > :01:09.air that will win out T will take a couple of days, I suspect. That
:01:10. > :01:12.weather front will be slow to move to the western side of Scotland but
:01:13. > :01:16.it will do eventually. Across England and Wales another lovely
:01:17. > :01:18.day. There might below cloud lingering along the south coast
:01:19. > :01:23.keeping it on the cool side but move inland and we are widely into the
:01:24. > :01:26.low 20s, could even get into the middle 20s in that south-eastern
:01:27. > :01:29.corner. A decent day for most places with patchy cloud and sunshine. The
:01:30. > :01:33.far north-west of England that sees that thickening cloud and rain. The
:01:34. > :01:37.rain is reluctant to clear from Northern Ireland. It's pushing into
:01:38. > :01:41.the western side of Scotland. To the north-east a scattering of showers.
:01:42. > :01:44.17 in Inverness is not so bad. The evening, the weather front is slow
:01:45. > :01:47.to get across the Irish sea, so it should be a decent end to the day
:01:48. > :01:52.across much of England and Wales. The weather front is still with us
:01:53. > :01:56.on Friday. Southern Scotland, northern England, through Wales and
:01:57. > :02:01.the south-west, it is slowly pushing east. Ahead of that a warm day,
:02:02. > :02:04.could spark off thunder storms. That fresher air is beginning to come in
:02:05. > :02:07.behind that weather front. The fresher air will win out at the
:02:08. > :02:11.start of the weekend as the weather front moves through and it takes
:02:12. > :02:16.those thundery downpours with it. Saturday will be a day of sunny
:02:17. > :02:20.spells and showers. Top temperatures 22. But many places only 16 or 17. I
:02:21. > :02:25.suspect the second part of the weekend will be similar to the first
:02:26. > :02:26.part, with spells of sunshine, a scattering of showers and winds
:02:27. > :02:29.coming in from the Atlantic with My wife keeps wondering,
:02:30. > :02:32.could she have done better than me? I mean, if she picked you
:02:33. > :02:34.purely romantically, instead of rigorously,
:02:35. > :02:36.you may not be the optimal. if she could date
:02:37. > :02:40.100 people in her lifetime, she takes the first square root
:02:41. > :02:43.of those, so, 10, and then settles down
:02:44. > :02:46.with the next person and that is the optimal method
:02:47. > :02:51.to find, on average,
