:00:00. > 3:59:59Sunday it looks like it might turn warmer but on into Monday,

:00:00. > :00:00.increasing chance of showers. warmer but on into Monday,

:00:00. > :00:09.increasing chance of showers. Here's the National weather.

:00:10. > :00:13.Hello, we managed to cram in a lot of weather today, 32 degrees at

:00:14. > :00:16.Heathrow, nothing like it away to the north-west of Scotland, where it

:00:17. > :00:20.was as dull as that and wet at times. It was absolutely glorious

:00:21. > :00:24.across some parts of southern Britain, but there has to be a fly

:00:25. > :00:28.in the ointment and it came in the form of some thunderstorms. A wise

:00:29. > :00:32.woman had the sense to take this particular picture as these

:00:33. > :00:35.thunderstorms rolled across the south-east and in the East Anglia

:00:36. > :00:40.and later this afternoon it was North Yorkshire that really got a

:00:41. > :00:45.pounding in places, around the A64, around Malton, I saw 35 millimetres

:00:46. > :00:49.and a couple of hours and virtually as we speak, 10:45pm, it's the turn

:00:50. > :00:53.of Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire the season quite violent

:00:54. > :00:56.thunderstorms. They will take time, probably around midnight or one a

:00:57. > :01:02.four cars 1am before they get away from eastern shores. A weather front

:01:03. > :01:07.across the South West of Scotland where things will be a bit cooler,

:01:08. > :01:11.11-13 covers it there, 17-19 across the South. With the warm start it is

:01:12. > :01:16.pretty much sunshine all the way for Central and eastern parts.

:01:17. > :01:20.Elsewhere, quite a bit of cloud and further north, we're back in the

:01:21. > :01:25.frontal territory and a disappointing weather for Scotland.

:01:26. > :01:28.Northern Ireland, essentially a dry start to the day and improving one.

:01:29. > :01:32.And improving one in Scotland as well. Because the weather front

:01:33. > :01:36.gradually drags that cloud down into the heart of the British Isles,

:01:37. > :01:40.robbing some in the Midlands and the north of England of their sunshine.

:01:41. > :01:44.It doesn't stop it being pretty warm still, 27-29 across the

:01:45. > :01:48.south-eastern quarter close to London, warm work at Wimbledon and

:01:49. > :01:53.Lord's again. Not as warm across the North as England as today and still

:01:54. > :01:55.pleasant across Scotland with some sunshine and indeed in the Northern

:01:56. > :01:59.Ireland as well. The weather front will have been a banner of cloud but

:02:00. > :02:02.through the night and on into Saturday, just in time for the

:02:03. > :02:07.weekend, the cloud thickens. It will produce the odd bit of rain to start

:02:08. > :02:09.with but it tends to fizzle away. The brightest skies further north

:02:10. > :02:16.across Scotland and across Northern Ireland. A bit of a mishmash on

:02:17. > :02:18.Saturday into Sunday. We'll bring a thundery low up from France,

:02:19. > :02:22.perilously close to the Southern counties of England. A new weather

:02:23. > :02:27.front brings more cloud and rain and breeze into the North of Scotland.

:02:28. > :02:29.Any good news to report? Yes, southern Scotland and Northern

:02:30. > :02:51.Ireland should see some sunshine. Lots

:02:52. > :02:55.Madonna has launched her own range of booted orphans.

:02:56. > :03:03.Let's come at it from another angle. He might be the Messiah. Come on!

:03:04. > :03:07.for BBC Two's brand-new topical comedy show.
