0:00:01 > 0:00:02spells of sunshine. That is it from the London team but Tomasz

0:00:02 > 0:00:08Schafernaker has the national picture.

0:00:08 > 0:00:11Good evening. They say November is the dullest month of the year and it

0:00:11 > 0:00:14certainly felt like it in some parts of the country today, not everywhere

0:00:14 > 0:00:21but for many, really grey mild, 15 degrees on the south coast. There's

0:00:21 > 0:00:26a change on the way. The atmosphere set in motion, you can see the

0:00:26 > 0:00:29clouds and this is a cold front and behind it, we are going to get a

0:00:29 > 0:00:34shot of colder which is going to be over us for a few days, not

0:00:34 > 0:00:37desperately cold but chilly enough. This process is already underway,

0:00:37 > 0:00:40the cold front moving into north-western part of the country so

0:00:40 > 0:00:43there will be a spell of brief, heavy rain moving through Northern

0:00:43 > 0:00:47Ireland and Scotland during the night but ahead of this cold front,

0:00:47 > 0:00:52the majority of England and Wales, a lot of cloud and still mild,

0:00:52 > 0:00:55temperatures around 10 degrees. Let's have a look at the morning.

0:00:55 > 0:01:01The south of the UK is still before the cold front moves through, here,

0:01:01 > 0:01:06a lot of mild weather, relatively, it never feels great at 7am in

0:01:06 > 0:01:13November whatever the weather. 11 degrees in Banga and by the time you

0:01:13 > 0:01:17get to Belfast and Scotland, this is the cold, polar air moving in from

0:01:17 > 0:01:21the Northern climes and quite windy across Scotland as well, blowing a

0:01:21 > 0:01:25gale around some coasts behind the cold front and lots of showers. Look

0:01:25 > 0:01:29at how this cold front moves through, see how clear the area is

0:01:29 > 0:01:33behind it, that is what cold fronts do, bring in a crisp air mass from

0:01:33 > 0:01:38the north, whereas in the south, for a time, it might get to 14 but

0:01:38 > 0:01:42definitely 12 or 13 across the South. Then the cold front moves

0:01:42 > 0:01:46through, the cold air on Thursday, into Friday, it is out of the way

0:01:46 > 0:01:50and we are into high-pressure, a mini cold front across Scotland

0:01:50 > 0:01:53bringing showers and blustery weather again but the main message

0:01:53 > 0:01:57is for Friday, we anticipate a lot of sunshine, a beautiful day, quite

0:01:57 > 0:02:04frosty in the morning for some but a lovely autumn day to end the working

0:02:04 > 0:02:08week. Friday night, expect it to be cold, so Saturday morning once

0:02:08 > 0:02:13again, a touch of frost here and there and on Saturday itself, not

0:02:13 > 0:02:16very clear, there will be showers around and a bit of a breeze,

0:02:16 > 0:02:21particularly across eastern areas and through the day, it will turn

0:02:21 > 0:02:25cloudy, so Saturday night into Sunday, we are expecting a low

0:02:25 > 0:02:28pressure to move in, exactly what time the rain will arrive is open
