0:00:08 > 0:00:12Good evening, it's been an interesting week of it wintry

0:00:12 > 0:00:16weather. We started off with pictures like this, some heavy snow,

0:00:16 > 0:00:19some freezing weather conditions, but I suspect, as we move into the

0:00:19 > 0:00:25week ahead it will be somewhat different, we will see cloudy skies,

0:00:25 > 0:00:29milder conditions but pretty great, but not that much in the way of

0:00:29 > 0:00:32rain. For the here and now it looks like we have one more day of cold

0:00:32 > 0:00:38weather before the mild air pushes in from the south-west but

0:00:38 > 0:00:41unfortunately most air bringing rain for all of us at some point during

0:00:41 > 0:00:45Sunday. Ahead of that Saturday morning will start rather cold and

0:00:45 > 0:00:49frosty for some of us, particularly in the central and eastern part of

0:00:49 > 0:00:52the country. Some showery outbreaks of rain in Northern Ireland and

0:00:52 > 0:00:56temperatures will hold up above freezing but though showers are a

0:00:56 > 0:01:00nuisance starting Saturday morning. Showers frequent in the run down the

0:01:00 > 0:01:05Irish Sea into Wales but in Central and eastern areas the frost will

0:01:05 > 0:01:07lift as the sunshine comes through. Into the middle of the afternoon we

0:01:07 > 0:01:12keep the risk of showers moving in through the south and west, across

0:01:12 > 0:01:17Cornwall and into Wales, making it feel pretty miserable, despite highs

0:01:17 > 0:01:21of 6-8d. Through the Midlands, eastern England will see sunshine

0:01:21 > 0:01:24despite the frosty start, the sun will come through and temperatures

0:01:24 > 0:01:28will struggle, two or three degrees at the best. Showers across

0:01:28 > 0:01:31north-west England, one or two into Northern Ireland but easing into the

0:01:31 > 0:01:35afternoon. Not a bad day for Scotland, clear skies, sunshine but

0:01:35 > 0:01:40cold and one or 2 degrees. As we move out of Saturday into Sunday

0:01:40 > 0:01:44here is the change, the weather front pushing in from the Atlantic,

0:01:44 > 0:01:48the isobars squeezing together and a south easterly flow bringing in this

0:01:48 > 0:01:52mild air. Some of the rain heavy for a time across west facing coasts,

0:01:52 > 0:01:56somewhat erratic pushing across eastern England, but rainfall of us

0:01:56 > 0:02:02at some point on Sunday, double digits out to the west, ten or 11

0:02:02 > 0:02:05degrees. That front will clear away and we will see a ridge of high

0:02:05 > 0:02:08pressure building as we start the new working week, which basically

0:02:08 > 0:02:13means it will be relatively quiet. Perhaps a little bit cooler on

0:02:13 > 0:02:17Monday but not much. A lot of cloud around but the cloudy mild theme is

0:02:17 > 0:02:21really set to continue as we move into Monday and Tuesday. So, if you

0:02:21 > 0:02:26have not enjoyed the cold wintry weather you will be pleased with the

0:02:26 > 0:02:28theme into next week, mainly dry, mild
