0:00:07 > 0:00:11Good evening. Snow and ice have already caused some issues this

0:00:11 > 0:00:17week, and there is more to come. The Met office has issued an amber

0:00:17 > 0:00:20warning for snow, particularly across parts of northern England

0:00:20 > 0:00:24through the first part of tomorrow, because things are turning very cold

0:00:24 > 0:00:30at the moment, could get down to minus 13 across the snow fields of

0:00:30 > 0:00:34Scotland, and into that cold air we bring wet weather, turning to snow

0:00:34 > 0:00:38for a time across Wales in the Midlands, then a good part of

0:00:38 > 0:00:42northern England and southern Scotland. A range of winter hazard

0:00:42 > 0:00:49early tomorrow morning, rain, sleet and snow for Northern Ireland, ice

0:00:49 > 0:00:54in northern Scotland, but snow to fairly low levels in land widely, a

0:00:54 > 0:00:58few centimetres of snow, and across the South Pennines up to 15

0:00:58 > 0:01:04centimetres of snow over high ground. A bit of snow into the

0:01:04 > 0:01:08Midlands and Wales, and it will be falling on cold surfaces, that could

0:01:08 > 0:01:13give ice. A lot to start the day, but things will slowly improved,

0:01:13 > 0:01:18rain, sleet and snow slowly eases in the north, brighter further south, a

0:01:18 > 0:01:22windy day, gales and the far south-west, where it will be mild,

0:01:22 > 0:01:27colder further north. On Saturday, wet weather sliding in across

0:01:27 > 0:01:32northern areas, bringing snow across Scotland, even to relatively low

0:01:32 > 0:01:36levels, rain flirting with the far south. In between, brighter weather,

0:01:36 > 0:01:39temperatures in the south much milder. Another windy day, we stick

0:01:39 > 0:01:45with that theme for the last day of the year, outbreaks of rain, sunny

0:01:45 > 0:01:50spells, 6-12 degrees, and if you are celebrating at midnight, clear

0:01:50 > 0:01:54spells overhead, but one or two showers into western areas. While

0:01:54 > 0:01:57temperatures do not look bad on the face of it, add in the
