0:00:00 > 0:00:00patches of mist and murk. If you are travelling further afield in the
0:00:00 > 0:00:00coming days,
0:00:01 > 0:00:04travelling further afield in the coming days, here is Phil with the
0:00:04 > 0:00:06wider picture.
0:00:09 > 0:00:14Good evening. The fog will be an issue over the next couple of days.
0:00:14 > 0:00:19Not without its artistic side, as witnessed here in Newry. The day was
0:00:19 > 0:00:22by no means a write-off. Once the cloud cleared from the south-east,
0:00:22 > 0:00:28it was a glorious day in many spots. Having said that, as the day came to
0:00:28 > 0:00:32a close, certainly here across the West Midlands, the fog was back with
0:00:32 > 0:00:37a vengeance. It's going to be, I suspect, forming most extensively in
0:00:37 > 0:00:41this area that saw some of the best of the sunshine through the course
0:00:41 > 0:00:46of the day. There you see it, across the western side of Scotland, the
0:00:46 > 0:00:49north-west of England, Northern Ireland, the West Midlands, down to
0:00:49 > 0:00:53Wales, and into the southern counties of England too. Into the
0:00:53 > 0:00:57east, the weather front has some low cloud associated with it too so
0:00:57 > 0:01:01there could be some hill fog getting into Lincolnshire and East Anglia,
0:01:01 > 0:01:05so just in time for the commute and school run tomorrow, there could
0:01:05 > 0:01:09well be some extensive fog, some of it really quite dense. Let us see
0:01:09 > 0:01:14how it shapes up on Thursday morning. The additional factor in
0:01:14 > 0:01:18the weather for western Scotland certainly and central Scotland is
0:01:18 > 0:01:21the prospect of some frost. Once you come that little further south, this
0:01:21 > 0:01:25is where we pick up on the fog theme. For Northern Ireland, the
0:01:25 > 0:01:28borders of Scotland, the north-west of England, Midlands and Wales and
0:01:28 > 0:01:32down into the south-west. Then a lull in proceedings where the fog
0:01:32 > 0:01:35may be that little bit more remote. Then out towards the east, the old
0:01:35 > 0:01:40weather front, a lot of cloud here, bits and pees of rained and a supply
0:01:40 > 0:01:45of fog coming in off the North Sea could give a lot of hill fog and fog
0:01:45 > 0:01:49to lower levels too for a good part of the morning, certainly to the
0:01:49 > 0:01:53west and east. I'm hopeful much of the fog will pop away in western
0:01:53 > 0:01:57parts and you will see some sunshine. Further east, ledden
0:01:57 > 0:02:01skies, one of those January days, eight degrees yes possibly. Where
0:02:01 > 0:02:05the sunshine comes through, but the fog sticks in the west, could be
0:02:05 > 0:02:14down to two. We do it all again on Friday with the fog not necessarily
0:02:14 > 0:02:20in the aim areas. Not an issue with the fog over to Northern Ireland
0:02:20 > 0:02:28because the breeze is freshening up here. A weather
