0:00:01 > 0:00:03again into the weekend. But breezy, with outbreaks of rain. This is your

0:00:03 > 0:00:09national weather.

0:00:10 > 0:00:14Hello, good evening. Wet and windy weather on the way so I hope you

0:00:14 > 0:00:18made the most today of a half decent day across many parts of the British

0:00:18 > 0:00:25Isles, as evidenced by our Weather Watchers in Rutland and further

0:00:25 > 0:00:28North in the Isle of Lewis. Glorious end to the day here and a transition

0:00:28 > 0:00:35with milder air replacing miserable weather across many parts during the

0:00:35 > 0:00:38weekend. That milder air comes at a price. At least it keeps the frost

0:00:38 > 0:00:44at bay for many locations, in the far North-East of Scotland, but

0:00:44 > 0:00:48things warm up during the night. Here comes that price, cloud and

0:00:48 > 0:00:51wind and rain spilling into Northern and Western parts of the British

0:00:51 > 0:00:55Isles as we begin the new day and Tuesday. Let's see how you fare

0:00:55 > 0:01:00first up. A really bright start across Northern and Western

0:01:00 > 0:01:03Scotland, 30, possibly 40 millimetres of rain. At lower

0:01:03 > 0:01:08levels, 20-30. The prospect Ireland is the same. One band of cloud and

0:01:08 > 0:01:12rain there and another ahead of it towards the eastern side of England.

0:01:12 > 0:01:17And in between, a role in the proceedings. But the cloud sits low

0:01:17 > 0:01:21on the hills of the North West through Wales and into the moors of

0:01:21 > 0:01:25the south-west. So it is one of those starts to the day, but at

0:01:25 > 0:01:29least it is mobile so this brand of weather with its stiff breeze moves

0:01:29 > 0:01:35into the North Sea. And then we get a bit of brightness between the

0:01:35 > 0:01:39weather fronts. That is the other. And it is behind that we get a

0:01:39 > 0:01:42mixture of sunny spells and showers. And look at those temperatures, we

0:01:42 > 0:01:47have not seen that for a while. 12, 13, somebody in the south-west also

0:01:47 > 0:01:52these could get 14. Plenty of isobars on Tuesday and on Wednesday,

0:01:52 > 0:01:58low pressure, squeezing the isobars even brighter. 60, 70 mph gusts

0:01:58 > 0:02:03across the North of Scotland and this is a spell of very wet and very

0:02:03 > 0:02:07windy weather and quite squally, taken until after darkness to get

0:02:07 > 0:02:12away from the far South East. Showers across the Midlands and the

0:02:12 > 0:02:15Northern England and more across the North and West and temperatures down

0:02:15 > 0:02:20a touch. At the end of the week, it stays pretty windy, sunny spells and

0:02:20 > 0:02:24showers, and it turns little cooler. Not as cold as last week. But I give

0:02:24 > 0:02:29you an example of the comparison between Tuesday and Thursday.
