0:00:03 > 0:00:05something a bit milder as we head into the weekend. Further afield

0:00:05 > 0:00:12you'll want the National forecast.

0:00:12 > 0:00:16It's not often the Met office issued a Red Warning. It is therefore the

0:00:16 > 0:00:20most serious weather situations. That's what we have at the moment in

0:00:20 > 0:00:25parts of Scotland. This area covering much of the Central Belt.

0:00:25 > 0:00:28Frequent snow showers, travel becoming all but impossible. It's

0:00:28 > 0:00:33part of a larger area of Amber Warning covering more of Scotland

0:00:33 > 0:00:38and parts of northern England. Heavy snow showers and disruption as a

0:00:38 > 0:00:42result. You can see them drifting in overnight. Scattered snow showers

0:00:42 > 0:00:46elsewhere with further accumulations of a few centimetres. It's worth

0:00:46 > 0:00:50checking before you head out in the morning what's happened overnight

0:00:50 > 0:00:55before attempting a journey. Another severe frost although perhaps not

0:00:55 > 0:00:58numerically as it was across southern England as it was last

0:00:58 > 0:01:02night but it feels just as cold with the wind. Tomorrow a difficult start

0:01:02 > 0:01:09to the date we've got the snow and the snow showers there. If you sunny

0:01:09 > 0:01:12spells scattered elsewhere but increasing cloud in southern

0:01:12 > 0:01:17England, Wales and patchy Briggs of snow developing here. Another

0:01:17 > 0:01:20bitterly cold day -- patchy outbreaks of snow developing here.

0:01:20 > 0:01:25The wind making it feel much colder, in Cardiff it will feel like minus

0:01:25 > 0:01:3011. The first day of meteorological spring is tomorrow but these

0:01:30 > 0:01:34temperatures not doing it justice. We'll see more wind and snow heading

0:01:34 > 0:01:41into southern areas. Storm Emma is moving its moisture northwards into

0:01:41 > 0:01:45the cold air. Some of that snow will pipe up tomorrow evening

0:01:45 > 0:01:49particularly in parts of south-west England and Wales. Things going

0:01:49 > 0:01:55downhill through the day and the evening. And Amber Warning here,

0:01:55 > 0:01:58perhaps blizzards in the wind and maybe seeing less cold air running

0:01:58 > 0:02:02into southernmost parts. A risk of freezing rain and icy conditions

0:02:02 > 0:02:08going into Friday morning. A lot to play for on Friday where an area of

0:02:08 > 0:02:12snow set up across England and Wales. Keep watching for updates,

0:02:12 > 0:02:17but disruption for some of us. Further snow showers into eastern

0:02:17 > 0:02:23Scotland. On Friday still bitterly cold. Some dangerous and challenging

0:02:23 > 0:02:27travelling weather over the next few days. I thought I would leave you,

0:02:27 > 0:02:31as tomorrow is the first day of meteorological spring, with some
