0:00:00 > 0:00:01dry and then it turns milder towards the weekend but with the threat of

0:00:01 > 0:00:01rain.

0:00:02 > 0:00:05the weekend but with the threat of rain. Now the National weather

0:00:05 > 0:00:06picture.

0:00:13 > 0:00:18Good evening, it is Battle of the seasons this week. If you were lucky

0:00:18 > 0:00:23to see some sunshine, it almost felt like spring. We may have tainted the

0:00:23 > 0:00:28beast from the East but there will be called weather and snow around.

0:00:28 > 0:00:33This is from Aberdeenshire and the snow is drifting steadily

0:00:33 > 0:00:38northwards. Rain across the East Coast. That will push into Shetland

0:00:38 > 0:00:41overnight and linger tomorrow and by then a band of rain and sleet.

0:00:41 > 0:00:45Elsewhere we keep clearer skies through the night and perhaps

0:00:45 > 0:00:51pockets of frost and a touch of mist and fog. Just want to draw your

0:00:51 > 0:00:54attention to the south-east. I knew since little weather front will push

0:00:54 > 0:00:59in and bring showery outbreaks of rain. That will spoil the start of

0:00:59 > 0:01:03the day in the Saudi 's corner and it will move towards East Anglia and

0:01:03 > 0:01:07Kent in the afternoon. Coastal showers, some will be heavy but

0:01:07 > 0:01:13there will be sunny spells around through most of Wednesday and highs

0:01:13 > 0:01:18of 10 degrees in the south-east, six or seven further north. Still under

0:01:18 > 0:01:21the influence of low pressure and that will stay with you for most of

0:01:21 > 0:01:28the week, circulating with showers. At the same time as we move towards

0:01:28 > 0:01:30Thursday, another nuisance weather front pushing through the channel

0:01:30 > 0:01:34which will bring outbreaks of rain for a time and maybe across the

0:01:34 > 0:01:38Midlands towards the Peak District and Lincolnshire. A little wet snow

0:01:38 > 0:01:43before it eases away. It will do so and then a trail of showers into the

0:01:43 > 0:01:47far north-west. In terms of the feel of things, similar story to

0:01:47 > 0:01:53Wednesday, six to 10 degrees. As we move into Friday, avail of glad

0:01:53 > 0:01:58pushing from the south ahead of another area of low pressure. That

0:01:58 > 0:02:01will bring more wet weather into the south-west by the end of the day.

0:02:01 > 0:02:06This will be significant because it will drift north as we move into the

0:02:06 > 0:02:09weekend. Because we still have the cold air in place into the far

0:02:09 > 0:02:12north, perhaps on the leading edge there will be wet snow to the

0:02:12 > 0:02:17extreme north of England and Scotland for a time. But we're not

0:02:17 > 0:02:21expecting it to last or cause too much issue because behind it drags

0:02:21 > 0:02:28in this milder air. Milder air will start to move into Scotland as the

0:02:28 > 0:02:31push into the weekend. But it is worth bearing
