0:00:00 > 0:00:00weekend. Thankfully not all weekend long. Rain for us. Elsewhere in the

0:00:00 > 0:00:02UK there is some snow in

0:00:02 > 0:00:04long. Rain for us. Elsewhere in the UK there is some snow in the

0:00:04 > 0:00:05forecast once again.

0:00:11 > 0:00:15We may have escaped the clutches of last week's bitterly cold spell, but

0:00:15 > 0:00:19the snow has not completely done with us yet. No Beast from the East

0:00:19 > 0:00:22this time, in fact a fairly innocuous looking area of cloud that

0:00:22 > 0:00:26has been pushing in from the Atlantic. This is bringing some

0:00:26 > 0:00:29outbreaks of rain. It has even brought some thunder and lightning

0:00:29 > 0:00:32across parts of Wales and the south-west. It is as this runs into

0:00:32 > 0:00:37what is relatively cold air that it could start to bring some snow. The

0:00:37 > 0:00:40further south you are, it will mostly be rain. Pretty windy across

0:00:40 > 0:00:43southern parts of England particularly further north, for

0:00:43 > 0:00:46Northern Ireland. Full Scotland, clear spells with a scattering of

0:00:46 > 0:00:50showers. Here, the potential for ice as temperatures dipped below

0:00:50 > 0:00:54freezing. The potential for disruptive weather through the early

0:00:54 > 0:00:58hours of Thursday really comes when the wet weather meets the relatively

0:00:58 > 0:01:02cold air to the north. We are talking about parts of mid and North

0:01:02 > 0:01:06Wales, especially over the hills. We could see ten centimetres of snow.

0:01:06 > 0:01:08Across the North Midlands and into northern England particularly, we

0:01:08 > 0:01:12might see snow not only over high ground, even to low levels, places

0:01:12 > 0:01:19like Manchester, Leeds, Durham, they could see a couple of centimetres of

0:01:19 > 0:01:23snow. Any accumulations of snow for the Thursday morning rush hour could

0:01:23 > 0:01:27cause some travel issues, so it is worth staying tuned to your BBC

0:01:27 > 0:01:31local radio station. A mixture of rain, sleet and snow will clear away

0:01:31 > 0:01:33fairly quickly tomorrow. What we will be left with into the afternoon

0:01:33 > 0:01:37is a lot of dry weather across the country, spells of sunshine. Still

0:01:37 > 0:01:42quite windy towards this out. Still some showers pushing from the West,

0:01:42 > 0:01:45with the high ground of Scotland those showers could still be wintry.

0:01:45 > 0:01:48Temperatures may be a little bit down on where they have been today,

0:01:48 > 0:01:52six or 10 degrees, not too bad going. A cold start on Friday

0:01:52 > 0:01:55morning, quite widespread frost, some mist patches are possible. Then

0:01:55 > 0:02:00we see a lot of sunshine. Still some showers after the North West, wintry

0:02:00 > 0:02:03over high ground. Then down to the south, you can't have failed to have

0:02:03 > 0:02:08noticed this, the wet weather pushing through the Channel Islands

0:02:08 > 0:02:11and into southern England and South Wales by the end of the day. This is

0:02:11 > 0:02:14what takes us into the weekend. Friday night we push this frontal

0:02:14 > 0:02:20system northwards, taking that weather with it. No pressure in the

0:02:20 > 0:02:23south-west, and that means we get a southerly wind. That means we can

0:02:23 > 0:02:29tap into mild air. Some parts of the South could get up to 14 degrees.

0:02:29 > 0:02:30With the mild weather we get
