:01:26. > :01:39.Australia was in this area, as suggested by that analysis. Now it's
:01:40. > :01:42.thought the route actually headed here. That's because analysts have
:01:43. > :01:44.deduced from combining radar and satellite data that the jet was
:01:45. > :01:49.flying faster than previously thought. So it burned fuel more

:02:41. > :02:46.than previously thought, which in turn means it used more fuel and
:02:47. > :02:50.could not travel as far. Because of ocean drift, this new search area
:02:51. > :02:53.could still be consistent with the potential object identified by
:02:54. > :03:00.various satellite images over the past week. This work is ongoing. We

:03:16. > :03:21.credible lead we currently have in the search for aircraft wreckage.
:03:22. > :03:25.However, this information needs to be continually adjusted for the
:03:26. > :03:30.length of time lapsed as the aircraft went missing and the likely
:03:31. > :03:34.drift of any wreckage floating on the ocean surface. Weather
:03:35. > :03:38.conditions do seem to be more favourable from now in the new
:03:39. > :03:45.search area, as Malaysia and the world waits to see whether there is
:03:46. > :03:50.at last a long for breakthrough. There's been one line of detail that
:03:51. > :03:56.something has been found, it may be connected to the aircraft. In
:03:57. > :04:00.Perth, that's where the whole operation has been coordinated by
:04:01. > :04:04.the Australian air force. I asked our correspondent what is known
:04:05. > :04:08.about this new sighting. This is from a New Zealand air force P-3
:04:09. > :04:17.Orion, a surveillance aircraft that took off from the air base earlier
:04:18. > :04:22.today. The crew says it has spotted about 11 unidentified objects in the
:04:23. > :04:28.new search area. These pieces of debris may be connected with flight
:04:29. > :04:33.MH370. We won't know for sure. Probably until tomorrow, when a ship
:04:34. > :04:37.can go to that location and tried to retrieve the debris. So we could be
:04:38. > :04:41.looking at a very significant breakthrough. We could be looking at
:04:42. > :04:46.yet another false lead. But as far as the New Zealanders are concerned,
:04:47. > :04:50.they've related this information to ships bearing down on the new search
:04:51. > :04:55.area. By this time tomorrow, we should hopefully know one way or
:04:56. > :05:00.another whether this is connected to the investigation that is almost
:05:01. > :05:04.three weeks old now. Compared to satellite images taken from 20,000
:05:05. > :05:08.miles or what ever, this will at least produce images which were
:05:09. > :05:14.maybe taken literally a few hundred feet away by the plane in high
:05:15. > :05:18.resolution. Not only that, this is up to date information. When we've
:05:19. > :05:22.been receiving those satellite images, invariably they are days
:05:23. > :05:27.old. So what the New Zealand air crew have done today, providing
:05:28. > :05:32.fresh, up to date information, passing on the exact location to
:05:33. > :05:37.those ships. It may take those ships a short while to get to that
:05:38. > :05:41.particular area. But what the Australians and their international
:05:42. > :05:46.partners are able to do is try and map out how the current work in that
:05:47. > :05:50.part of the Indian Ocean, to try to predict that if those pieces of
:05:51. > :05:54.debris have moved, where they might be. This is a very sophisticated
:05:55. > :05:58.international operation. Satellites in space are invaluable, but it's
:05:59. > :06:03.when we get down to the nitty-gritty of planes seeing potential pieces of
:06:04. > :06:06.debris that the Australian led surveillance mission really thinks
:06:07. > :06:17.it might be zoning in on something quite significant. The number of
:06:18. > :06:20.people confirmed dead in a massive mudslide near Seattle has risen to
:06:21. > :06:23.25. Rescuers say they expect that figure to rise substantially over
:06:24. > :06:27.the next few days, as they recover more bodies from the wall of mud
:06:28. > :06:30.which engulfed the small town of Oso. 90 people are still unaccounted
:06:31. > :06:34.for. The authorities warn that the bodies of some victims may never be
:06:35. > :06:39.found. The BBC's David Willis is in Oso. As the painstaking search
:06:40. > :06:44.continued, telephone calls to the emergency services were released
:06:45. > :06:48.revealing the panic as the mudslide tour these homes apart. Hundreds of
:06:49. > :06:56.trees have fallen outside my house. It sounded an earthquake. Are there
:06:57. > :07:00.any injuries? Yes, there are people yelling for help! Amongst the
:07:01. > :07:03.rubble, rescuers have found the body of a four-month-old girl, whose
:07:04. > :07:09.grandmother also died in the disaster. The search operation is
:07:10. > :07:12.taking its toll on volunteers. They've recovered more bodies than
:07:13. > :07:16.the figures indicate, but those bodies have yet to be formally
:07:17. > :07:21.identified. In the next few days, the death toll is expected to rise
:07:22. > :07:27.significantly. Comforted by her British friend Heather Rogers,
:07:28. > :07:32.Nicole Ribeiro told me four of her loved ones are missing. Both her
:07:33. > :07:39.parents, her 19-year-old daughter, Delaney, Anne Delaney's fiance,
:07:40. > :07:43.Alan. In other countries where there have been tragic mudslide and lives
:07:44. > :07:49.lost, many, many times bodies are not recovered and those areas are
:07:50. > :07:53.then claimed as a manorial ground. I have a feeling that may be the case
:07:54. > :08:05.in this situation. I'm OK with that. For me, I don't need a body to
:08:06. > :08:11.know... To get closure? No, I don't. What I want to say about Delaney,
:08:12. > :08:17.she was beautiful. I will miss her very much. I'm going to do
:08:18. > :08:24.everything in my power to help as many people as possible in honour of
:08:25. > :08:28.her and Alan and my mum and dad. The tragic story of this tight-knit
:08:29. > :08:43.community is slowly starting to unfold. And the grieving has barely
:08:44. > :08:46.begun. The Turkish government has blocked access to the video sharing
:08:47. > :08:49.site YouTube. It took similar action a few days ago, to cut off the
:08:50. > :08:53.microblogging website Twitter. The authorities are unhappy that an
:08:54. > :08:55.audio file has been uploaded to the website, which apparently features
:08:56. > :08:57.the Prime Minister's most senior advisors discussing possible
:08:58. > :09:01.military action in Syria. But, just as with the Twitter ban, people are
:09:02. > :09:10.still finding ways to access YouTube. Mariko Oi explains. First
:09:11. > :09:12.it was Twitter. Now it's YouTube. Turkey's government has been
:09:13. > :09:21.cracking down on social networking sites which Prime Minister Erdogan
:09:22. > :09:26.accuses of spreading misinformation. This is what the Prime Minister says
:09:27. > :09:29.is happening to Turkey. In his party's new video, a faceless enemy
:09:30. > :09:36.tries to bring down the country's flag. The people rise to defend it.
:09:37. > :09:43.Uniting the nation against conspiracy is his goal. What appears
:09:44. > :09:48.to have prompted the ban on YouTube is an audio recording between senior
:09:49. > :09:53.ministers which was posted on the site. They were literally discussing
:09:54. > :09:57.a possible military operation in Syria. Turkey's Foreign Minister
:09:58. > :10:03.said it constituted a declaration of war against his country.
:10:04. > :10:08.TRANSLATION: I've been Facebook and YouTube user for years. I'm an easy

:12:08. > :12:13.how bad relations between the US and Saudi have become. It's been getting
:12:14. > :12:17.from bad to worse over the past three years. Not just because of
