:01:40. > :01:45.Rahul Gandhi's Congress Party has so far won just three seats.
:01:46. > :01:47.But, if you look at the Commission's projections, you can see why people
:01:48. > :01:50.are talking about a landslide victory.
:01:51. > :01:53.The BJP is leading in another 255 seats - while
:01:54. > :02:00.There's a carnival atmosphere at the BJP headquarters with party
:02:01. > :02:04.supporters dancing in the streets and firecrackers going off.
:02:05. > :02:09.The scale of the BJP's victory is truly gigantic in a country where no
:02:10. > :02:13.party has managed to get a simple majority since the Congress party
:02:14. > :02:18.in 1984. And it all centres around this man - Narendra Modi - who's
:02:19. > :02:22.set to become India's 15th Prime Minister.
:02:23. > :02:26.Final results for all 543 constituencies are expected around
:02:27. > :02:31.12pm GMT - that's around 4.30pm Indian time.
:02:32. > :02:35.551 million people cast their votes in the mammoth nine-phase general
:02:36. > :02:42.election with a record turnout of 66%.

:03:48. > :03:52.last year, well before the elections were announced. Today, it's paid
:03:53. > :03:55.off. He is set to become India's next Prime Minister.
:03:56. > :03:58.Narendra Modi will become India's 15th Prime Minister.
:03:59. > :04:01.He's risen through the ranks of India's main opposition party,
:04:02. > :04:10.the Hindu Nationalist BJP, to run a self-confident campaign.

:04:18. > :04:18.Gujarat. He touched her feet in a traditional Hindu gesture when

:26:18. > :26:20.Indian Prime Minister will have difficulty in closing that growing
:26:21. > :26:25.gap between the rich and poor in this country, a huge challenge for
:26:26. > :26:31.Narendra Modhi in this country of 1.4 billion people, different
:26:32. > :26:36.cultures and religions, a huge task. Thank you. We were just seen
