:20:00. > :20:04.to you, you are the landlord and why did you come up with this and why?
:20:05. > :20:09.It was just a chat between myself and Darren, it was Darren's idea and
:20:10. > :20:13.we both thought it was possible. You know, it is a great thing to do for
:20:14. > :20:17.Rowcroft, we wanted to do it for a local charity and it all added up
:20:18. > :20:21.and we have had such great support, as you can see this evening, and it
:20:22. > :20:27.has been constant, trying to do it since last October. It is very
:20:28. > :20:31.official, you have cameras appear showing you are live and everything.
:20:32. > :20:36.If you are going to do it, do it properly! What is worrying is the
:20:37. > :20:43.number of times you are literally bending over, have you got a misuse
:20:44. > :20:50.on stand-by? Yes, my daughter. For real? For real, she is qualified.
:20:51. > :20:55.And someone is witnessing this at all times? We have to have
:20:56. > :20:59.professionals in place because it is a case that the adjudication has to
:21:00. > :21:02.be covered, the video footage has to tie up with the adjudicators and
:21:03. > :21:09.what they say, that is really how it works. We will go across to your
:21:10. > :21:14.wife, the landlady. Carroll, tell me, this is all for a particular
:21:15. > :21:18.reason. Tell me what this is? Basically to raise money for
:21:19. > :21:23.Rowcroft Hospice, a hospice in Torquay that is very dear to locals'
:21:24. > :21:29.hearts and it is very underfunded and threatened with closure. They
:21:30. > :21:32.helped over 200,000 people per year with light limiting illnesses, so it
:21:33. > :21:37.is very important that we keep this Hospice going and get some money in
:21:38. > :21:41.the bank for them. Brilliant. Well, they'll still playing, still a long
:21:42. > :21:44.way to go. Just setting up here ready for the next game.
:21:45. > :21:47.Good luck, guys. Yes, brilliant cause, let's hope they go well with
:21:48. > :21:48.it. I was a bit worried that they had
:21:49. > :21:52.stopped playing very minute there! Now you've heard of dog training
:21:53. > :21:55.treats, but how about this - a dog is recovering at home
:21:56. > :21:57.in Torpoint after somehow eating a train that
:21:58. > :21:59.certainly wasn't a treat. The toy which became a snack only
:22:00. > :22:02.came to light when Cyril He was x-rayed by vets in Plymouth,
:22:03. > :22:07.and happily, the nine-year-old has Why a dog should choose to eat a toy
:22:08. > :22:13.train rather than a conventional But, luckily, he
:22:14. > :22:19.didn't eat that too. He loves to eat and he will eat
:22:20. > :22:24.absolutely anything. He is always hungry,
:22:25. > :22:29.always want biscuits. crisps, sweets, and chocolate
:22:30. > :22:39.but we don't allow it but he would constantly eat
:22:40. > :22:40.if he could. Clearly, Cyril has a good appetite,
:22:41. > :22:45.but there were signals something was wrong and when he fell ill,
:22:46. > :22:51.the Mellors took him to the vet. We checked him over,
:22:52. > :22:56.realised he was unwell, he had stomach pain,
:22:57. > :23:02.so we gave him an anaesthetic and x-rayed him and on the x-ray,
:23:03. > :23:05.we could clearly see of white object We were a bit perplexed
:23:06. > :23:10.as to what it was, we thought it might be a Lego brick or a child's
:23:11. > :23:13.toy or something like that and in fact, it turned out
:23:14. > :23:16.to be a railway carriage. You can just see the wheels
:23:17. > :23:19.on the top of it here. The discovery has brought
:23:20. > :23:23.a whole new meaning After his operation,
:23:24. > :23:30.Cyril's back and full of beans. Meanwhile, lessons have begun
:23:31. > :23:55.on eating a healthy diet. not sure he took that in! C what the
:23:56. > :24:00.weather is doing, with warnings of storms on the way, how will we be
:24:01. > :24:04.affected? We have Doris, you can make all of the Doris Day jokes
:24:05. > :24:07.later that you like, we have had fog today but some have seen sunshine,
:24:08. > :24:11.the strength of the wind has picked up and it has broken up a cloud in
:24:12. > :24:14.places. Tomorrow, we have Doris is starting to move in across the UK,
:24:15. > :24:32.so wet start, a little more sunshine than in recent days but it
:24:33. > :24:35.is the strength of the winds that will be noticeable, 50-60 mph gusts,
:24:36. > :24:37.70 of the high grounds and some minor disruption could be on the
:24:38. > :24:40.roads. At the moment, we have a westerly airflow, quite a bit of
:24:41. > :24:42.cloud over us but the winds have started to pick up ahead of Doris.
:24:43. > :24:45.Tomorrow, you consider strengths of the winds, heavy rain will clear
:24:46. > :24:48.quite early on forth to most -- most of tomorrow, we should see some
:24:49. > :24:50.sunshine and a much quieter day on Friday. Try and bright, a lot of
:24:51. > :24:56.sunshine with winds, but feeling cool. Saturday, the wind pick-up
:24:57. > :25:00.again, not in association with Doris, but a slightly breezy day. A
:25:01. > :25:04.lot of cloud across the South west today, a few holes given the
:25:05. > :25:07.strength of those winds, but we have a lot of low cloud still out there
:25:08. > :25:11.and we will see further outbreaks of light rain and drizzle overnight. In
:25:12. > :25:15.terms of temperatures, another mild one, down at around nine or 10
:25:16. > :25:19.degrees. We get the rain quite quickly tomorrow pushing in from the
:25:20. > :25:23.west so for most of the day, dry with a lot of sunshine. The peak of
:25:24. > :25:27.the winds during the middle part of the day and early afternoon and we
:25:28. > :25:31.can see 50-60 mph gusts, particular across the coast of Devon and
:25:32. > :25:35.Cornwall and over higher ground. So don't be fooled, we see sunshine and
:25:36. > :25:39.mild temperatures, offset by the strength of the winds, highs of nine
:25:40. > :25:43.or 10 degrees. The Isles of Scilly will get the rain early on, so for a
:25:44. > :25:46.good part of the day, it will be bright and the winds will be strong,
:25:47. > :25:55.Gale force at times. Here are the times of high water. In terms of
:25:56. > :25:57.surfing, we recommend heading to the coast tomorrow, particularly the
:25:58. > :26:02.north coast of Devon and Cornwall, they will see some fairly big waves,
:26:03. > :26:07.less so towards the South coach. -- coast. The coastal waters forecast,
:26:08. > :26:11.the winds will come around to a north-westerly direction towards the
:26:12. > :26:14.tail end of the day and they will increase. Some rain first thing but
:26:15. > :26:18.the bulk of the day should be dry with some sunshine and visibility
:26:19. > :26:21.will be good. So we have been talking about Doris all week and
:26:22. > :26:24.that will hit as tomorrow. The winds are already starting to pick up. We
:26:25. > :26:28.will see heavy rain during the morning between six and eight, the
:26:29. > :26:32.heaviest of the rain, so mid-morning, most of seeing dry and
:26:33. > :26:35.bright weather and the winds start to pick up coming in from the
:26:36. > :26:39.north-west, Gale force at times and they will fairly strong throughout
:26:40. > :26:43.the day, only easing as we go through the night. That does mean on
:26:44. > :26:46.Friday a much quieter day and we will see the winds ease, cooler and
:26:47. > :26:50.temperatures dropping but more in the way our sunshine. The winds pick
:26:51. > :26:54.up as we head towards the weekend, nothing to out of the ordinary and
:26:55. > :26:56.while we were see a lot of cloud, you can see temperatures recovering
:26:57. > :27:02.so once again returning to more mild weather.
:27:03. > :27:05.Thank you. So, tonight, we met Cyril the dog survivor and now it is over
:27:06. > :27:09.two dogs you couldn't survive without. Thank you for all of your
:27:10. > :27:13.e-mails and pictures about dogs with jobs. We are featuring some of your
:27:14. > :27:16.stories over the coming weeks and in the meantime, here are a few of your
:27:17. > :27:22.dogs with incredibly important jobs. From all of us here, good night.
:27:23. > :27:55.Good job, guys. We totally nailed it.
:27:56. > :28:00.This year, fundraising kits are going to be sent through the post.
