:00:00. > :00:00.Welcome to BBC Channel Islands on Friday, March 31st.

:00:00. > :00:09.No day trips from Guernsey to Jersey this summer -

:00:10. > :00:16.now there are calls for a dedicated inter island service.

:00:17. > :00:22.If you are going to pay that kind of money you want the full days. It is

:00:23. > :00:23.not enough time to do what you would want to do.

:00:24. > :00:27.We go behind the doors of Jersey's old police station.

:00:28. > :00:34.We're taking you back to the 80's with some of Bergerac's memories.

:00:35. > :00:41.And I think April will start true to form, April showers for the weekend

:00:42. > :00:47.ahead and feeling just a little bit cooler with dryness on Sunday.

:00:48. > :00:53.there won't be any opportunities for people in Guernsey

:00:54. > :00:57.to travel by ferry and spend the whole day on Jersey.

:00:58. > :01:00.Condor's timetables only allow Guernsey customers to travel

:01:01. > :01:04.to their sister island for the afternoon.

:01:05. > :01:06.The States say they want other providers to come

:01:07. > :01:10.forward and offer to run a dedicated inter-island service.

:01:11. > :01:16.To appreciate the beauty of the Channel Islands,

:01:17. > :01:22.It's advice many of us have given - like Condor ferries who offer day

:01:23. > :01:24.trips with a difference on their website.

:01:25. > :01:26.But this summer for Guernsey locals and tourists alike -

:01:27. > :01:29.it might not be so easy to experience other islands -

:01:30. > :01:31.As you can't spend more than an afternoon on Jersey.

:01:32. > :01:33.The committee of economic development did not

:01:34. > :01:36.It is debatable what a day trip compromises of.

:01:37. > :01:38.Condor would argue that going out on the Liberation,

:01:39. > :01:41.spending three to four hours on our sister island and returning

:01:42. > :01:43.Condor would argue that going out on the Liberation,

:01:44. > :01:46.spending three to four hours on our sister island and returning

:01:47. > :01:53.Personally I do not feel that's a day trip.

:01:54. > :01:55.From the beginning of June to the end of August,

:01:56. > :01:57.there are just 12 days when you can spend over

:01:58. > :02:01.five hours on Jersey - with the longest amount of time

:02:02. > :02:07.On those days all crossings leave after midday.

:02:08. > :02:10.And for a family of four taking their car over -

:02:11. > :02:16.it'll still set you back almost ?200.

:02:17. > :02:21.If you are going to pay that kind of money you want the full day,

:02:22. > :02:25.everything included and you're not getting that you're not getting your

:02:26. > :02:28.money 's worth. It is not enough time to do what you would want to

:02:29. > :02:36.do, personally I would go and make it. It needs a more user-friendly

:02:37. > :02:37.timetable. You can get more time in Jersey. People would go for leisure

:02:38. > :02:39.purposes. But Condor say their timetable just

:02:40. > :02:41.isn't designed to only And a feaseability study last year

:02:42. > :02:45.found that a dedicated inter-island service wouldn't be financially

:02:46. > :02:47.viable for them as there Yet the states believe

:02:48. > :02:55.there is a market for a smaller passenger only ferry service

:02:56. > :02:57.and are urging companies who may be interested in running

:02:58. > :02:59.one to come forward. Jessica Banham, BBC

:03:00. > :03:02.Channel Islands News, Guernsey. You've been in touch

:03:03. > :03:05.and have plenty to say. On Facebook, Lisa said the longest

:03:06. > :03:08.land time she's seen on the Condor schedule is about 6 hours,

:03:09. > :03:11.take off check in time And Richard called to tell us

:03:12. > :03:18.he thinks it would boost tourism to have frequent boats

:03:19. > :03:20.back and forth. Finally, Charlie wrote online

:03:21. > :03:22.that we need a ferry operator who can give us what we need,

:03:23. > :03:37.not what they want. If you have a comment to make

:03:38. > :03:41.on that story or anything else. You can do so on facebook @BBCCINEWS

:03:42. > :03:48.or drop us an email CInews@bbc.co.uk Guernsey's new Population Law

:03:49. > :03:50.will come into effect on Monday. The island's politicians

:03:51. > :03:52.passed the last of the new This included capping the number

:03:53. > :03:56.of Open Market properties that could be used for multi occupancy

:03:57. > :03:58.use at two hundred and five. All aspects of the new law

:03:59. > :04:01.and its effects will be subject to a review by the States,

:04:02. > :04:04.with a report due back Meanwhile States owned company

:04:05. > :04:08.Andium Homes has today purchased the Robin Hood site in Jersey

:04:09. > :04:11.to build affordable housing. The site at corner of Trinity Hill

:04:12. > :04:14.and Springfield Road has been un-developed for a number of years

:04:15. > :04:16.since the former Robin Hood Andium Homes will be tidying up

:04:17. > :04:23.the site as a priority and will Out of touch with

:04:24. > :04:33.the people of Jersey. That's the reaction of Deputy Sam

:04:34. > :04:36.Mezec to the Chief Minister's claims that the gap between the rich

:04:37. > :04:39.and poor is shrinking. Senator Ian Gorst said the number

:04:40. > :04:42.of people on low incomes in Jersey is falling -

:04:43. > :04:44.but a number of politicians and the States statistics departmeny

:04:45. > :04:46.say the opposite is true and Deputy Mezec says

:04:47. > :04:54.he should admit he was wrong. When a politician says something

:04:55. > :04:57.that turns out to be untrue, it would be a real sign

:04:58. > :05:00.of leadership to hold your hands up and apologise but the Chief Minister

:05:01. > :05:03.so far has indicated that he doesn't want to do that and I think that's

:05:04. > :05:08.a sign of bad leadership, really. It's been the headquarters

:05:09. > :05:13.for Jersey Police for over half a century -

:05:14. > :05:15.but now they've moved into their new station

:05:16. > :05:19.on Green Street, what does the future hold for the worn,

:05:20. > :05:22.and unfit for purpose We've been allowed in with our

:05:23. > :05:25.cameras and given access It's been a safe and secure

:05:26. > :05:30.place for over 50 years From housing evidence

:05:31. > :05:34.in the archive library to reading suspects their rights

:05:35. > :05:38.at the custody desk. But even though it still holds

:05:39. > :05:39.historic memorabilia from Jersey's policing past -

:05:40. > :05:43.it's now it's dissembled, Questions are being asked

:05:44. > :05:50.on what can a former secondary school showing signs of its age

:05:51. > :05:53.and a listed building that's been adapted for specialist police

:05:54. > :05:58.facilities be used for? What we do with the remainder

:05:59. > :06:01.of the site, particulary the cells - they are large concreate blocks

:06:02. > :06:03.attached to the granite building, they really arent very easy things

:06:04. > :06:07.to deal with so we need to a little bit more work looking

:06:08. > :06:10.at the feesability of the site. Which has to incorporate one

:06:11. > :06:16.emergency service that's not The Fire service have been

:06:17. > :06:20.a neighbour of the police throughout the period of the police being here,

:06:21. > :06:24.they'll remain so in the future so we need to have an eye

:06:25. > :06:27.to the fire service needs but also what we can do with the buildings -

:06:28. > :06:31.we have a school next door, Rouge Bouillon primary school,

:06:32. > :06:34.it's tight for space and its something we'll work

:06:35. > :06:36.with the fire chief, with the education department

:06:37. > :06:39.and the school to ensure that we've got a future that adds value

:06:40. > :06:41.to all of those functions within the walls of the police

:06:42. > :06:50.interview rooms could be replaced with the sounds of school children

:06:51. > :06:52.as the doors of Jersey's old police station are closed

:06:53. > :07:03.for the final time. Sport now - Last weekend

:07:04. > :07:05.Jersey Reds pulled off one of their greatest wins -

:07:06. > :07:07.beating this season's undefeated This Sunday both teams will be

:07:08. > :07:14.squaring up once more for semi-final tie in the British Irish Cup

:07:15. > :07:17.at Reading's Madejski Jersey Reds could make history

:07:18. > :07:24.if they reach the final. BBC Radio Jersey will have coverage

:07:25. > :07:30.on Sportscene this Sunday. It's a massive weekend

:07:31. > :07:32.for Jersey Netball with On Sunday is that crucial last

:07:33. > :07:38.National Premiership 2 League match, when Team Jets play

:07:39. > :07:40.Premier Romans in Bristol. A win for Jersey is necessary,

:07:41. > :07:43.if they're to be sure of avoiding Guernsey Archery will be taking

:07:44. > :07:51.a mix of experience to the 2017 Steve Yates and Chris Massey will be

:07:52. > :07:57.managing the teams which include previous medal winners and three

:07:58. > :07:59.making their debut. At the last Games in Jersey,

:08:00. > :08:02.they won a total of eight medals - two gold, three silver and three

:08:03. > :08:05.bronze -and are hoping to bring home their biggest ever

:08:06. > :08:14.medal tally this year. A network of German tunnels

:08:15. > :08:17.and rooms hidden below a Guernsey All this is underneath the Mirus

:08:18. > :08:22.Battery at La Hougette Primary. It's been closed off

:08:23. > :08:24.to the public for decades, but volunteers will begin to clear

:08:25. > :08:27.the site tomorrow. It's hoped eventually it'll

:08:28. > :08:41.open again for tourists, One of the things we want to do in

:08:42. > :08:44.getting it open again is allowing people to come in here and feel the

:08:45. > :08:48.atmosphere because anyone who has ever been down here, you get a sense

:08:49. > :08:52.of history and it is living history which unfortunately more and more we

:08:53. > :08:56.lose that so it is the opportunity to have living history and

:08:57. > :08:58.experience it. That is quite a clean-up job.

:08:59. > :09:02.Today was a glorious day of sunshine, will it hold out for the

:09:03. > :09:09.weekend? Let's find out. It looks like we're going to see

:09:10. > :09:13.quite a mixture of this weekend, plenty of showers around Baghdad

:09:14. > :09:17.tomorrow, April will show us just at the weekend. Some sunny spells, a

:09:18. > :09:21.little bit cooler but of the two days of the weekend Sunday is the

:09:22. > :09:26.better day. We have an area of low pressure which is pretty much living

:09:27. > :09:29.reasonably close to his overnight and, that keeps the shower activity

:09:30. > :09:33.going. Until the ridge of high pressure follows, that will be

:09:34. > :09:36.across us for the middle of the day on Sunday so Sunday is a much more

:09:37. > :09:41.settled then, we should see some sunshine. It will feel cooler. Rain

:09:42. > :09:45.overnight tonight, gradually moving away and what will replace it is a

:09:46. > :09:50.scattering of showers by dawn tomorrow morning, and for tomorrow

:09:51. > :09:55.there will be some sunshine. At the same time they will also be a few

:09:56. > :09:58.showers, going slowly changing directions of the day coming west

:09:59. > :10:01.and the north-westerly. I am hopefully get sunshine but every now

:10:02. > :10:06.and then the day is spoiled by a sharp shower of just 12 degrees, the

:10:07. > :10:12.maximum temperature. There are times of high water, incident earlier that

:10:13. > :10:19.is 1017 and 20 to 34, at St Peter Port it is entity for, 20 to surfers

:10:20. > :10:26.the reaches will be choppy, the ones turning Westerly the north-westerly.

:10:27. > :10:31.The coastal waters forecast the winds Westerly giving

:10:32. > :10:37.north-westerly, four but occasionally five isolated showers,

:10:38. > :10:40.mainly good visibility. So the forecast for the rest of the weekend

:10:41. > :10:45.and into next week looks promising. It also looks warmer. On Sunday

:10:46. > :10:49.after a court might first thing on Sunday morning averages into single

:10:50. > :10:53.figures. We should get some sunshine on Sunday and Monday is the same.

:10:54. > :10:57.Monday night is a very weak weather front but it won't produce very

:10:58. > :11:00.much, just the risk of a few showers and Mondays temperatures will be

:11:01. > :11:05.higher with southerly winds of 14 or 15 degrees. Rate into Tuesday of

:11:06. > :11:08.next week. Have a nice weekend. Finally, what

:11:09. > :11:19.do you think of when you hear this? It was the decade of big hair,

:11:20. > :11:24.shoulder pads and big personalities. 'Bergerac's Island -

:11:25. > :11:27.Jersey in the 1980s' is a major exhibition opening this weekend

:11:28. > :11:29.at Jersey's museum. Julie Flanagan with a car I most

:11:30. > :11:33.definitely recognise. It's iconic 80's Jersey isn't it -

:11:34. > :11:36.perfect for this exhibition. You can't explore that decade

:11:37. > :11:39.here without mentioning John Nettles - what memories does

:11:40. > :12:00.this beautiful triumph bring back? John has been talking to us and

:12:01. > :12:03.everyone here who is celebrating everything they remember about the

:12:04. > :12:09.80s. The clouds, the bright jackets, the daycare, the music, thinking

:12:10. > :12:12.about the Walkmans and the videos and everything that makes the 80s

:12:13. > :12:16.what it was. We have a few shell suits ran the corner and some people

:12:17. > :12:20.in the background here who are just taking a step down memory lane.

:12:21. > :12:24.Trying to remember everything about that decade that they loved and

:12:25. > :12:32.loathed. At the moment we can see everything that was just Jersey in

:12:33. > :12:37.the 80s, the region, the upper house, the visual art and we look at

:12:38. > :12:42.every aspect of Jersey, Caesar's Palace, everything that may Jersey

:12:43. > :12:46.was. People here, some of them have come dressed in 80s fashion. For

:12:47. > :12:50.example Princess Diana 's wedding dresses down there and you can see

:12:51. > :12:54.this exhibition when it opens to the public tomorrow.

:12:55. > :12:58.Thank you, Julie. You go and find Bergerac follows and get an

:12:59. > :13:01.interview! We will try and talk to him and bring you that in the late

:13:02. > :13:04.news tonight. You are up-to-date with the latest

:13:05. > :13:08.news for the Channel Islands, I will be back with your headline that if

:13:09. > :13:09.the clock. And again at 10:30 p.m.. Tell then I leave you with

:13:10. > :13:18.Spotlight. Good night. the 30th anniversary

:13:19. > :13:25.of the Cornwall air ambulance. And if you thought the big race at

:13:26. > :13:31.Chilton was two weeks ago. Find out why when we hear from this intrepid

:13:32. > :13:36.11-year-old later in the programme. -- race at Cheltenham.

:13:37. > :13:38.30 years ago this weekend, Cornwall's air

:13:39. > :13:40.ambulance took to the skies for the very first time.

:13:41. > :13:43.The charity has just announced plans to fundraise for a new,

:13:44. > :13:46.The air ambulance is called out to around 700

:13:47. > :13:58.David George reports from on board Heli-Med Zero One.

:13:59. > :14:03.The callsign has always been Heli-Med Zero One because it was the

:14:04. > :14:08.first air ambulance in Britain. Today, the charity which runs it has

:14:09. > :14:13.two aircraft. They are paid for through charity donations. They cost

:14:14. > :14:18.around ?5 million a year. Priceless, if you are the mum of the theory

:14:19. > :14:25.year old who is unconscious. -- three-year-old. We live far so to be

:14:26. > :14:33.able to get into the referred, it is four minutes by air ambulance. It

:14:34. > :14:37.makes all the difference. Today, there are 20 air Ambulance Services

:14:38. > :14:42.in Britain but Cornwall led the way. Cornwall's was known as the first

:14:43. > :14:46.air ambulance. The service started on April one, 1987, the first ever

:14:47. > :14:54.all out was to west Cornwall. A young lady had jumped off rocks,

:14:55. > :14:58.spinal injury, and from far West Cornwall, the ambulance was able to

:14:59. > :15:01.deliver her to City Hospital. As we landed, she said this is a

:15:02. > :15:06.marvellous service, how long have you been going? And my colleague

:15:07. > :15:13.looked at his watch and said since about eight 30 AM this morning.

:15:14. > :15:18.Heli-Med Zero One have carried out many missions, saving lives and

:15:19. > :15:24.ringing help to people in inaccessible places. A car stopped

:15:25. > :15:29.in the road in front of me and without any warning hit me, ran over

:15:30. > :15:36.me, literally. The next thing I know, I'm being airlifted. The guys

:15:37. > :15:41.did a ruined, good job. If it wasn't there, I wouldn't be here. They

:15:42. > :15:45.literally saved my life. This vehicle can bring a great deal of

:15:46. > :15:50.speed, critical care, get the patient to hospital rapidly, and the

:15:51. > :15:56.joy is being able to bring relief to someone in a stressful as duration

:15:57. > :16:00.and help them out. The focus is to replace this aircraft with new ones

:16:01. > :16:12.that are bigger, faster, and can operate at night. A marvellous

:16:13. > :16:16.sight. I can't believe it is 30 years of it

:16:17. > :16:19.was so special. To the sport now and England's

:16:20. > :16:21.men may have missed out on a Six Nations Grand Slam

:16:22. > :16:24.but the women didn't disappoint. with a 70% increase in playing

:16:25. > :16:29.numbers in the last three years. While the adult game

:16:30. > :16:31.seems to be thriving, the girls' game is still

:16:32. > :16:33.having a few teething problems, as Andy Birkett

:16:34. > :16:36.found out when he went along to joint training session

:16:37. > :16:50.involving three teams. Since England's women's team won the

:16:51. > :16:54.World Cup in 24 team, there has been a spike in the number of women and

:16:55. > :16:59.girls playing rugby. There is still a way to go. Plenty of teams want to

:17:00. > :17:04.set up but not enough players to go around. You end up with this, three

:17:05. > :17:12.teams training together. Numbers have grown but they still know when

:17:13. > :17:19.near where we need them. My daughter was in a team with another team 80

:17:20. > :17:23.miles apart. These three tie -- teams don't have a full side so it

:17:24. > :17:28.is a pop-up battle all the time and girls rugby. It is a battle be

:17:29. > :17:33.rescue is determined to win. Across the country, there are 300 clubs

:17:34. > :17:38.with women's teams. The aim is to double the players. Role models

:17:39. > :17:43.always help and this former player is a great example of how quickly

:17:44. > :17:46.you can progress. The main thing that got me into it was the

:17:47. > :17:52.environment that comes with it, the spirit of the game, everything at

:17:53. > :17:56.each shoe on and off the pitch plays a huge role in not only how you play

:17:57. > :18:01.as a player but also lifestyle, health and well-being. Now 18, she

:18:02. > :18:06.has recently moved into senior rugby and she is already a star. All this

:18:07. > :18:12.after just taking up the sport years ago. A special moment, not only

:18:13. > :18:18.wearing the shirt for the first time. Any time you get to put it on,

:18:19. > :18:23.it is a very proud moment. It can happen to anyone, not just myself.

:18:24. > :18:33.If you are still not convinced it is for you. Various position for every

:18:34. > :18:38.goal of every shape, size in rugby. From the men's rugby to the men's

:18:39. > :18:42.game and Plymouth Albion will be heading north this weekend to take

:18:43. > :18:47.on Macclesfield. A win there will go somewhere to cementing their place

:18:48. > :18:53.as runners-up. For the rest, cup rugby. Jersey are still fighting in

:18:54. > :18:59.the British and I are cups. Their reward is a trip to London Irish on

:19:00. > :19:02.Sunday and in the last four. Back to league is this for our footballers.

:19:03. > :19:07.Plymouth Argyle and promoted just yet but they are almost there. The

:19:08. > :19:13.manager is getting too carried away. We are trying to push on now and

:19:14. > :19:19.trying to get to win the title, if we possibly can. We are three points

:19:20. > :19:23.behind Doncaster. 13 points ahead of fourth position but we still have a

:19:24. > :19:26.lot of work to do. We have a team on Saturday that are coming and are

:19:27. > :19:31.brimming in confidence and we will have to be in good form. The

:19:32. > :19:35.play-off places are still wide open with Exeter occupying the last of

:19:36. > :19:42.the spots after a comeback against Yeovil. The brothers can beat

:19:43. > :19:46.Carlisle, the side below them, but they have to beat Mansfield, another

:19:47. > :19:51.side with their eye on promotion. It is exciting. Take you back to the

:19:52. > :19:55.end of November when we were bottom of the league, this is a pretty good

:19:56. > :20:02.situation and we can decide or choose to be stressed and anxious

:20:03. > :20:05.about this or we can enjoy it and march into it and make the most of

:20:06. > :20:09.it and I think we will do the latter. Best of luck to Cornwall's

:20:10. > :20:14.under 18 footballers who are taking part in the cup final this weekend.

:20:15. > :20:20.They have had to battle through four rounds to get there. They have been

:20:21. > :20:25.entering this condition since 1944 so you might be surprised to hear it

:20:26. > :20:31.is the first time they have reached the final. That all sex await in

:20:32. > :20:40.Barnet. -- Middlesex await in Barnet. A good omen. Staying on the

:20:41. > :20:43.sporty theme. And congratulations to 13-year-old

:20:44. > :20:45.Siam Juntakeret from Bodmin who finished his cycle

:20:46. > :20:47.across Australia today. He did the three thousand

:20:48. > :20:50.mile trip in 28 days - smashing the previous record

:20:51. > :20:54.of 44 days. He's now in Freemantle

:20:55. > :20:57.having started in Sydney He's due back in Cornwall next week

:20:58. > :21:13.when we hope to catch up with him. He really did smashed the record. 28

:21:14. > :21:18.days, compared to 44. He has done really well but he is tired now. He

:21:19. > :21:22.is having a sleep so hope Lee we will get to see him next week.

:21:23. > :21:24.An 11-year-old Devon schoolboy is just moments away from completing

:21:25. > :21:27.a unique challenge which has so far raised ?8,000 for charity.

:21:28. > :21:30.James Clarkson has spent all week running around every National Hunt

:21:31. > :21:37.It's about 50 miles in distance on challenging ground.

:21:38. > :21:40.Today, he took on the World famous Cheltenham Gold Cup course

:21:41. > :21:55.In racing, it is all about being one of these. And nowhere more so than

:21:56. > :22:01.here at Cheltenham, the home of jumping. And they are off.

:22:02. > :22:05.Supporters and family join James Clarkson in this special leg of his

:22:06. > :22:09.charity challenge. The 11-year-old tramp up the idea to raise money for

:22:10. > :22:17.the injured jockeys fund. More than half way around, Cheltenham hill is

:22:18. > :22:22.still to come. It is Cheltenham so the excitement is fuelling my legs.

:22:23. > :22:26.This whole challenge started on Monday at Lingfield and while James

:22:27. > :22:32.has done the running, his dad has been clocking up the miles driving.

:22:33. > :22:41.By tonight, it will be 34 courses covered. Range free was the

:22:42. > :22:47.highlight. -- Aintree. Once the finish line has been passed at

:22:48. > :22:51.Newton Abbey. It is the closing stages of the near two mile trip and

:22:52. > :22:56.James is hanging in there. One more push and he is over the line. It

:22:57. > :23:02.will be pretty cool when 60,000 people are screaming at you but yes,

:23:03. > :23:09.it is quite tough as well. A couple of hours later and it is his home

:23:10. > :23:17.track of Taunton. This morning, he got legendary -- messages from the

:23:18. > :23:21.legendary AP McCoy. I have enjoyed it but I haven't enjoyed getting up

:23:22. > :23:29.at 6:15am every morning. I will look forward to a lion. His own idea, and

:23:30. > :23:34.for a good cause. No doubt, he will be off to the winners enclosure.

:23:35. > :23:41.Great stuff. I didn't see Hamish doing any running. I was wondering

:23:42. > :23:46.if he went over the fences at Aintree. James has one more race to

:23:47. > :23:52.run at Newton Abbey this evening and we will let you know how he got on

:23:53. > :23:58.in our late news. He looked very confident. Let's find out what the

:23:59. > :24:02.going will be like? A nice evening? Not really but a bit of rain will

:24:03. > :24:08.not stop him. April showers, really, is what we are going to see which

:24:09. > :24:11.this weekend but only for Saturday because come Sunday, high pressure

:24:12. > :24:17.comes in, settles down and brings the Sunshine backed out. Chilly and

:24:18. > :24:22.I time, fine on Sunday. Sunday is the better day of the two days. At

:24:23. > :24:27.the moment, we have cloud close by which will give outbreaks of rain

:24:28. > :24:31.this evening. This speckled cloud of the West of Ireland, that is

:24:32. > :24:35.tomorrow's weather, a load of showers tucked in there. All this

:24:36. > :24:41.blue sky out here, that is Sunday's weather coming in. Not for tomorrow,

:24:42. > :24:46.though, it won't arrive until tomorrow night. For tomorrow, we've

:24:47. > :24:50.got showers. The risk of head and thunder, and then a ridge of high

:24:51. > :24:54.pressure coming in. Settling things down quite nicely on Sunday. A big

:24:55. > :24:59.chilly at night but it should be fine jewel in the daytime and high

:25:00. > :25:02.pressure stays reasonably close by for Monday, too. This weather front

:25:03. > :25:12.approaches from the West but that will be overnight feature. Here is

:25:13. > :25:17.the pick just from earlier today. -- picture from earlier today. Rain for

:25:18. > :25:22.much of the day across Cornwall. Brighter weather further east. Let's

:25:23. > :25:27.take you down to Newlyn where there was rather level skies tonight --

:25:28. > :25:30.today, and the showers have been coming and going throughout the day

:25:31. > :25:37.today and the breeze has picked up, it has been a southerly wind today.

:25:38. > :25:40.Quite strong and times. Now, outbreaks of more persistent rain

:25:41. > :25:47.arriving. Hopefully, some karma seems spot our fishermen arriving.

:25:48. > :25:51.The forecast for tonight is to take this area of rain and push it right

:25:52. > :25:57.across the south-west of England, it will take time as it moves through.

:25:58. > :26:01.All of us seeing some rain, some of it moderate. By the morning, it will

:26:02. > :26:05.have cleared out of the way. We are left with a scattering of showers,

:26:06. > :26:16.some capable of producing the order down pouring of rain. For tomorrow,

:26:17. > :26:21.there will be some sunshine. The bad news is every now and then, there

:26:22. > :26:24.will be a sharp downpour of rain. The most favourable location to keep

:26:25. > :26:29.the sunshine for much of the day will be around them coast,

:26:30. > :26:36.particularly the North, and here we could and with every nice day. Not

:26:37. > :26:40.particularly warm, brisk breeze, temperatures up to 13 or 14 degrees

:26:41. > :26:47.but there is a chill in the wind. As all that skies clear tomorrow night,

:26:48. > :27:00.it will be cold. This is the forecast for the Isles of Scilly.

:27:01. > :27:06.Times of high water, there they are. For our surface, the cleaner surf

:27:07. > :27:13.will be along the south coast. The coastal waters forecast, a few

:27:14. > :27:19.showers around but generally good visibility. The good news is we will

:27:20. > :27:23.have a lovely day on Sunday, some patchy rain on Monday night into

:27:24. > :27:30.Tuesday but for those on their Easter holidays next week looks all

:27:31. > :27:33.right. Have an iced we can. Hamish 's most annoyed because he

:27:34. > :27:38.did do some of the running. He says he ran at Cheltenham and at Taunton

:27:39. > :27:42.so I take it all back. Well done, Hamish! Have a good weekend.

:27:43. > :27:46.Goodbye. Giddy-up, Hamish!
