:01:12. > :01:15.It begs a question, is there a correlation
:01:16. > :01:17.It is still lacking leadership, after the former director rdsigned
:01:18. > :01:20.in the summer and the posithon has yet to be filled.
:01:21. > :01:22.Now, there is concern the combination of factors
:01:23. > :01:24.is putting vulnerable children at risk.
:01:25. > :01:29.It is the department in charge of protecting Jersey's most
:01:30. > :01:32.But it seems the Children's Service is in difficulty itself.
:01:33. > :01:35.There has been a steady risd in the number of complaints it has had,
:01:36. > :01:39.from half a dozen, five years ago, to 24, so far this year.
:01:40. > :01:41.The complaints are about a range of issues, such as treatment,
:01:42. > :01:43.confidentiality and a failure to follow procedure.
:01:44. > :01:46.It has led to questions yet again over the welfare of children
:01:47. > :02:03.These are already vulnerabld children and they are already at
:02:04. > :02:06.risk because of that vulner`bility and if the care system is not
:02:07. > :02:09.working as it should be, then the risk is that these children
:02:10. > :02:11.who are already vulnerable will fall through the cracks
:02:12. > :02:16.and will be exposed to more danger and risk.
:02:17. > :02:18.Also causing concern is the staff turnover.
:02:19. > :02:20.150 have left the service since 2010.
:02:21. > :02:22.The most recent director left in the summer.
:02:23. > :02:40.One politician says stability is needed.
:02:41. > :02:44.Children who have not got consistency, the need to.
:02:45. > :02:47.The last incumbent left aftdr a very short period of time.
:02:48. > :02:50.My understanding is that shd is not being replaced until 2017 and I
:02:51. > :02:53.think the post is so import`nt that the health department should

:04:37. > :04:38."Aurigny's extremely disappointed that the States of Alderney passed

:04:44. > :04:47.The management remain absolttely committed to providing Alderney
:04:48. > :04:49.with a safe and efficient ahr service, which benefits both
:04:50. > :05:02.This politician is reponsible for Aurigny.
:05:03. > :05:05.He says Alderney's welcome to run its own airline if it wants to.
:05:06. > :05:08.There is a large level of dhstrust in Alderney about the services
:05:09. > :05:12.I think the answer to this is to introduce a contract whereby,
:05:13. > :05:15.if the people of Alderney think they can do the job better,
:05:16. > :05:18.then they will have the chance to do so.
:05:19. > :05:20.It is unclear if Alderney's concerns will be raised
:05:21. > :05:23.But when it comes to politics, the turbulent
:05:24. > :05:36.Pressure is being put on Gudrnsey garages to be more competithve
