:00:30. > :00:34.they are for all the support. Janine Jansen has the latest.

:00:35. > :00:39.A luxury holiday to Antigua turned into a nightmare.

:00:40. > :00:41.37-year-old Chris Tester from Torquay was helping his parents

:00:42. > :00:43.at their restaurant on Christmas Day.

:00:44. > :00:46.But a masked, armed robber held them at gunpoint and Chris

:00:47. > :00:56.His sister Vicky, from Bristol, is anxiously waiting for news.

:00:57. > :00:59.I spoke to my dad and he just said "I've got some bad news.

:01:00. > :01:06."Your brother's been shot and he's in hospital."

:01:07. > :01:11.Today, he was transferred to another island for specialist care.

:01:12. > :01:13.He's in an induced coma and they're just desperately trying to...

:01:14. > :01:16.Because originally they wanted to get him straight back to the UK.

:01:17. > :01:19.You know, they wanted to get him to a hospital here,

:01:20. > :01:26.But they were advised it's not safe to fly him.

:01:27. > :01:30.It's a long flight and the pressure, it would be too dangerous for him.

:01:31. > :01:33.Vicky says their parents emigrated over ten years ago, but have never

:01:34. > :01:45.The body of a man in his sixties has been recovered

:01:46. > :01:47.from Exeter Canal basin. The area was cordoned off

:01:48. > :01:49.around lunchtime today. Meanwhile, in Paignton,

:01:50. > :01:51.the body of a woman has been found in the harbour.

:01:52. > :01:54.Torbay Lifeboat was called to the scene, following reports

:01:55. > :02:00.of someone falling from Paignton Pier.

:02:01. > :02:02.People left behind after an illegal Boxing Day rave on Dartmoor

:02:03. > :02:04.say they are sorry for any disruption caused.

:02:05. > :02:06.Today, the clear-up got underway at woodland near Bellever,

:02:07. > :02:14.Car keys lost, these revellers have no way of leaving Dartmoor.

:02:15. > :02:20.Stranded and cold, there has been time to reflect.

:02:21. > :02:22.It is a shame if it has disturbed some people,

:02:23. > :02:23.which, unfortunately, it might have done.

:02:24. > :02:26.I'm sorry if it did ruin anybody's Boxing Day.

:02:27. > :02:33.As well as the response from the emergency services,

:02:34. > :02:36.an animal charity was called out, to collect escaped ponies at risk,

:02:37. > :02:43.We all had to drop tools, down family time and come out

:02:44. > :02:48.and put extra resourcing into gates and ensuring that the ponies

:02:49. > :02:51.were safely kept on-site. Our big concern was the ponies

:02:52. > :02:54.escaping on to the roads or getting out onto the open common,

:02:55. > :02:56.which would be very difficult to get them back from.

:02:57. > :02:59.So, yes, we have basically lost a couple of days.

:03:00. > :03:02.Steps have been taken today to restore order.

:03:03. > :03:05.The message going out to that community is you are not welcome

:03:06. > :03:08.to come to Forestry Commission land and carry out your activities.

:03:09. > :03:11.It is a danger to the members of the public who are here enjoying

:03:12. > :03:12.legitimate activities - walking, cycling

:03:13. > :03:14.and other recreation in our woodlands.

:03:15. > :03:15.They're are also putting themselves in danger.

:03:16. > :03:17.They're driving around the woodlands, they're using our

:03:18. > :03:23.woods as a toilet and they're also disturbing wildlife.

:03:24. > :03:26.The last traces of mess are being cleaned up.

:03:27. > :03:35.The focus now moves to preventing raves like this in future.

:03:36. > :03:37.Exeter's main hospital made almost ?2 million

:03:38. > :03:39.from parking charges last year. Torbay Hospital took almost

:03:40. > :03:41.?800,000 and Dorset County more than ?500,000.

:03:42. > :03:42.The figures came from a Press Association investigation.

:03:43. > :03:45.Hospitals say the money is invested in front line services

:03:46. > :04:02.and that some patients are exempt, but critics argue it is immoral.

:04:03. > :04:05.Now, it is a time of year when many of us like to get out

:04:06. > :04:08.in the countryside, but it is not so easy if mobility is an issue.

:04:09. > :04:10.A new, all-terrain buggy scheme has been pioneered

:04:11. > :04:14.Our Environment Correspondent Adrian Campbell has more.

:04:15. > :04:16.You'll get that good view when we get around the corner.

:04:17. > :04:19.This all-terrain vehicle is being put through its paces on Dartmoor.

:04:20. > :04:21.There are 37 sites around the South West where people

:04:22. > :04:24.with limited mobility can get out into the countryside

:04:25. > :04:26.and take in the view. I went with my 86-year-old father,

:04:27. > :04:35.who tackled the sometimes-difficult terraine with relative ease.

:04:36. > :04:36.It's lovely countryside. Lovely scenery.

:04:37. > :04:39.I'm used to a scooter, but this is a different kind of scooter.

:04:40. > :04:47.The South West has pioneered this idea.

:04:48. > :04:50.For a nominal fee, you can sign up to the network

:04:51. > :04:57.They vary from coastal sites, where you can get up on clifftops,

:04:58. > :04:59.or you can go to a forest area, like Holden Forest.

:05:00. > :05:02.I'll do you a new list of sites with pubs.

:05:03. > :05:06.As I understand, pubs would be more...

:05:07. > :05:15.And you can find more details of the charity buggies

:05:16. > :05:23.Let us take a look at the weather now, with David.

:05:24. > :05:23.Hello, again. Good evening.

:05:24. > :05:27.Already, it has turned frosty and, I think, for the rest of the night,

:05:28. > :05:29.we will also have some mist and fog problems.

:05:30. > :05:31.Some of the fog will be freezing, particularly across parts

:05:32. > :05:33.of Somerset and Dorset. So, very tricky

:05:34. > :05:37.travelling conditions. Stay tuned to BBC local radio

:05:38. > :05:41.for all the latest updates first thing tomorrow.

:05:42. > :05:44.We have got high pressure in charge, at least for the rest of this week.

:05:45. > :05:47.At the weekend, however, there is a bit of a change

:05:48. > :05:48.coming our way. More of that later.

:05:49. > :05:50.The mist and fog forming very quickly now.

:05:51. > :05:52.Temperatures bottoming out at zero, maybe dipping

:05:53. > :05:54.into minus figures here and here. Tomorrow, some sunshine.

:05:55. > :05:57.Certainly, for much of the day, we will see some sunny spells.

:05:58. > :06:00.But some parts of Somerset may not lift from the mist and fog.

:06:01. > :06:02.That could stick around all day and, there, temperatures

:06:03. > :06:07.struggling up to 4-5 Celsius. For the rest of us, 8-9 Celsius.

:06:08. > :06:10.The big change comes at the weekend, through the New Year.

:06:11. > :06:12.This cold front will gradually trickle southwards

:06:13. > :06:14.and will introduce Arctic air. So, quite a big change,

:06:15. > :06:17.Sunday night into Monday. But for the rest of this week,

:06:18. > :06:20.with south-westerly light winds, temperatures just

:06:21. > :06:39.That is all from the late team. Have a good night.

:06:40. > :06:45.As we have seen today, the weather can be a thing of real beauty, but

:06:46. > :06:50.also a real menace. Lovely shot taken this afternoon in Berkshire,

:06:51. > :06:55.the sun lighting up the hillsides, with dense fog. And that fog is

:06:56. > :07:02.dangerous. It is becoming up right now, with warnings out from the Met

:07:03. > :07:06.Office. -- it is thickening right now. Not a pretty sight across

:07:07. > :07:13.England, East Wales tomorrow morning. Dense patches of freezing

:07:14. > :07:18.fog. Nor for all. Slippery surfaces. Take it easy on the roads. In the

:07:19. > :07:22.far north of England, and Scotland and Northern Ireland, not so chilly.

:07:23. > :07:26.And some drizzly rain across the Western Highlands and the islands.

:07:27. > :07:30.These continued through the day on a brisk wind. Elsewhere, the winds

:07:31. > :07:33.will be liked and that is the problem, because there was no wind

:07:34. > :07:38.to shift that fog. Where do you have got fog, it could stick around for

:07:39. > :07:39.much of that of. In some spots, it should not feel too
