:00:24. > :00:33.to allow more time for states members to read review.

:00:34. > :00:35.Today marks two weeks since a murder investigation was launched

:00:36. > :00:39.after a woman's body was found at an address in Jersey.

:00:40. > :00:41.Fifty one-year-old Ana Robelo had been strangled at a house

:00:42. > :00:44.in St Helier, but Jersey Police still haven't charged anyone

:00:45. > :00:51.The Catholic Church has raised money to repatriate her

:00:52. > :01:02.We don't know the exact circumstances of how

:01:03. > :01:04.this lady met her death, so we are keeping an open mind.

:01:05. > :01:09.But that man has since been released on bail and Jersey Police have

:01:10. > :01:12.It's now a fortnight since Ana Robelo's body

:01:13. > :01:16.was discovered at this house in Victoria street -

:01:17. > :01:19.the only sign are the flowers that mark the doorway.

:01:20. > :01:24.Her death shocked the community here.

:01:25. > :01:27.She was a regular at St Thomas' Church at the end of her road.

:01:30. > :01:32.time to mark her death and help her family

:01:33. > :01:37.I don't normally take a collection on Good Friday.

:01:38. > :01:40.Even though we have a large number of people here -

:01:41. > :01:44.But this time it did seem right to do it,

:01:45. > :01:47.not only were we remembering the death and burial of Christ

:01:48. > :01:50.but remember the death and future burial of this woman who died,

:01:51. > :01:59.This was to repatriate the body which is the wish of the mother

:02:00. > :02:02.and on a day like this when we remember Mary who stood

:02:03. > :02:06.by the cross of her son, we can understand the suffering

:02:07. > :02:08.mother and what she must have been feeling.

:02:09. > :02:17.Members of the church who knew her says it was because it was such

:02:18. > :02:26.die, she was killed - so that makes difference and people

:02:27. > :02:28.feel that they should be generous towards helping the family

:02:29. > :02:34.The church is still taking collections to send Ana's body

:02:35. > :02:38.to Portugal to be laid to rest with her family.

:02:39. > :02:41.But with still so many unanswered questions surrounding her death -

:03:06. > :03:08.General Hospital following the crash on Sunday night.

:03:09. > :03:10.The two other men were discharged yesterday.

:03:11. > :03:13.They'd been travelling in a Blue Peugeot 106

:03:14. > :03:16.when the accident happened on the Five Mile Road

:03:17. > :03:21.on the island's west coast just after 11pm.

:03:22. > :03:25.The St Helier lifeboat crew who resigned on mass after alleged

:03:26. > :03:27.bullying met Jersey's Chief Minister today to discuss

:03:28. > :03:32.A crew from the UK has stepped in temporarily to provide off

:03:33. > :03:37.The RNLI says there's been a serious breakdown in communication

:03:38. > :03:42.between the Jersey team and the UK based management.

:03:43. > :03:44.4,500 people have signed a petition calling for the St Helier

:03:45. > :03:53.It was supposed to be the day that Jersey finally decided how to pay

:03:54. > :03:57.The decision is now on hold for two weeks to give politicians a chance

:03:58. > :04:01.to review the proposals on how best to pay the bill of ?466 million.

:04:02. > :04:05.Our reporter Chris Stone followed today's action in the States

:04:06. > :04:06.and explained why what seemed like a straightforward

:04:07. > :04:17.You would think it would be quite straightforward,

:04:18. > :04:21.it is the kind of choice you and I are faced with every day

:04:22. > :04:24.when we do our shopping or buy a new car or house,

:04:25. > :04:28.do we pay with money from the bank or do we take out the load or use

:04:29. > :04:36.a credit card over a period of months or years?

:04:37. > :04:42.Should the state take out a loan of ?400 million

:04:43. > :04:46.for the new hospital or take the money from the rainy day fund.

:04:47. > :04:52.We were expecting the debate today but they have put it off.

:04:53. > :04:56.There are concerns if the debate is left for too long it will add

:04:57. > :05:03.The person who came up with the idea of using the rainy day fund hospital

:05:04. > :05:07.wanted to put the debate off until June the 6th, he said members

:05:08. > :05:10.in the time to read the report, but others said with the political

:05:11. > :05:13.uncertainty there is in the world at the moment, with Theresa May

:05:14. > :05:16.calling a snap election today, interest rates could fluctuate that

:05:17. > :05:19.taxpayers in Jersey could risk losing millions of pounds

:05:20. > :05:31.So they agreed to the debate in two weeks, when members at the time

:05:32. > :05:50.What with the other issues of the day?

:05:51. > :05:55.There was the telecommunications company that said it would charge

:05:56. > :06:00.you an extra ?1 25 if you wanted to receive a paper bill and ?1 25 if

:06:01. > :06:07.you didn't want to pay by direct debit. People were unhappy saying

:06:08. > :06:13.there would be an impact on the people of the island. They have been

:06:14. > :06:18.asked to reconsider and members voted in favour of that. 40-3. They

:06:19. > :06:25.will have to go to the company and ask them to think again. There was

:06:26. > :06:33.the issue with parking and the minister responsible decided to ask

:06:34. > :06:37.the states to make them main roads in the trading estate meaning they

:06:38. > :06:41.can be policed and charged the parking there. That was also

:06:42. > :06:43.adopted, so next time you parked there, you may have to pay for the

:06:44. > :06:44.privilege. The new Dean of Jersey has been

:06:45. > :06:46.appointed and he knows The Reverend Mike Kierle

:06:47. > :06:49.is currently the Vice Dean of Guernsey and has been Rector

:06:50. > :06:52.of St Martins Parish He's also part of the Channel

:06:53. > :06:55.Island Air Search crew. He replaces The Very Reverend Bob

:06:56. > :06:58.Key who stepped down Things lie ahead, the forging

:06:59. > :07:09.of a new relationship with the mainline church will be one

:07:10. > :07:11.of the chief challenges. Working with colleagues

:07:12. > :07:14.and building a new team, I am excited to be working

:07:15. > :07:18.with people in the church in Jersey. I am very excited about building

:07:19. > :07:21.the new team and look forward to seeing the flourishing

:07:22. > :07:26.of the church. For many travellers

:07:27. > :07:28.to and from the Channel Islands, the Easter bank holiday weekend

:07:29. > :07:31.was marred by disruptions On Friday night the Liberation

:07:32. > :07:36.suffered engine problems which had knock on effects

:07:37. > :07:39.for the following day's sailings and combined

:07:40. > :07:43.with navigating low tides, many services were six hours behind

:07:44. > :07:48.schedule with day trips cancelled. Very frustrating for our passengers

:07:49. > :07:51.which I totally understand. Our engineers and the manufacturers

:07:52. > :07:56.got busy on the problem and subject to the crew hours and vital issues

:07:57. > :08:09.clearly it was, it was not because of the tidal issues

:08:10. > :08:17.but that was a knock-on effect A teenager in Jersey

:08:18. > :08:20.is being recognised by royalty Tom Hughes is getting a Diana Award,

:08:21. > :08:24.given to young people who make the world a better place

:08:25. > :08:27.for his work with the St He's the first person in a decade

:08:28. > :08:38.to receive the award It is an amazing achievement and I'm

:08:39. > :08:45.proud to be one of the people that has got one of these wards in

:08:46. > :08:50.Diana's legacy. It was shocking to get a response and the war this had

:08:51. > :08:51.been successful and I would be getting an award and meeting royalty

:08:52. > :09:09.to get that award. Blue skies is the forecast. Tomorrow

:09:10. > :09:17.is another fine day with plenty of sunshine and light winds. It is a

:09:18. > :09:22.bit cold at night. We have this high-pressure. There is a weather

:09:23. > :09:28.front of the North and it is slowly sinking south towards us. We have

:09:29. > :09:36.high pressure which moves around by the middle of the day on Thursday.

:09:37. > :09:39.It does allow whether to drift a front -- across us, bringing cloud a

:09:40. > :09:49.little bit. There could be some few showers. Any weather fronts getting

:09:50. > :09:55.to us will be weak affairs. Overnight tonight, plenty of clear

:09:56. > :10:00.skies and good views of the stars. Overnight temperatures will dip

:10:01. > :10:06.pretty low into single figures at five Celsius. We could have the

:10:07. > :10:10.touch of frost. Friday is a day with plenty of sunshine. The wind is

:10:11. > :10:19.mainly from the east. Feeling cool along the East fleecing -- facing

:10:20. > :10:27.coast. It will feel warmer at about breeze and into the sunshine.

:10:28. > :10:32.Friday, feeling warmer at 14 or 15 Celsius. A weak frontal system comes

:10:33. > :10:36.through overnight Friday into Saturday and it is perhaps the only

:10:37. > :10:43.chance to see a few spates of rain. By Saturday, there is some slightly

:10:44. > :10:45.colder air. That is all from me. Good night.

:10:46. > :10:47.That's your news this Tuesday evening, BBC Radio Guernsey

:10:48. > :10:50.and Jersey will have bulletins from six tomorrow morning and I'll

:10:51. > :11:13.be back at 6.30 tomorrow night, until then have a good night.

:11:14. > :11:14.The weather hasn't been too dramatic of late. That
