:00:08. > :00:13.Welcome to the programme. Our top story tonight: criminals without a

:00:13. > :00:19.conscience - targeting the elderly and the vulnerable.

:00:19. > :00:23.A disabled woman, driven to a cash point, is forced to hand over money.

:00:23. > :00:27.I couldn't believe it, I wanted to die. I had this sinking feeling.

:00:27. > :00:33.Since then, I have been feeling physically sick.

:00:33. > :00:37.Or so, treating cancer in hours. Why lasers are leading the way.

:00:37. > :00:43.Plus, preparing for the worst. How the East Midlands is bracing itself

:00:43. > :00:46.for winter. And join me later to find out why a

:00:46. > :00:56.bright spring and a soggy summer has been such good news for apple

:00:56. > :01:00.

:01:00. > :01:04.Good evening. Welcome to Tuesday's programme.

:01:04. > :01:07.First tonight, a warning about door-step conmen. In the latest

:01:07. > :01:13.incident, they forced a disabled woman to hand over money for work

:01:13. > :01:16.on her garden that wasn't needed. The woman, who wants to be known as

:01:16. > :01:20.Frances, is now in debt and she doesn't know when she'll be able to

:01:20. > :01:29.pay it off. Sadly, Trading Standards officers say her case is

:01:29. > :01:33.only the tip of the iceberg. Helen Astle reports.

:01:33. > :01:37.CCTV captures the moment a woman hands over hundreds of pounds to a

:01:37. > :01:41.rogue trader. The woman was pressurised into having gardening

:01:41. > :01:49.work done at her home. She didn't want it and she didn't need it, but

:01:49. > :01:53.the bill quickly rose. I said, this is a huge amount of money. I said

:01:53. > :02:01.you will have to come back for this, I thought, should I even be paying

:02:01. > :02:06.this? He said, no, we needed the money now. Frances was driven here,

:02:06. > :02:11.where she withdrew the maximum amount possible from her account.

:02:11. > :02:15.250. The rogue trader told her that he would be back the next day

:02:15. > :02:20.for the rest of the money. The man did come back, but Frances didn't

:02:20. > :02:25.give him any more money. The impact on her has been immense. Really, I

:02:25. > :02:28.just wanted to die, I really did. I couldn't believe it. I had this

:02:28. > :02:33.sinking feeling, and since then, I have been feeling physically sick

:02:33. > :02:38.about it, really sick in the stomach. It has made me feel so low,

:02:38. > :02:42.so depressed. Adapting there are words to describe them, from our

:02:42. > :02:48.perspective they are rogues, they're not bad businessman, they

:02:48. > :02:52.are not businessmen in any sense at all, they are criminals. Criminals

:02:52. > :02:57.to rip people off. The man trading standards are looking for is

:02:57. > :03:02.described as white, in his thirties, very short, with an Irish accent.

:03:02. > :03:07.The money Frances gave him has put him -- her into debt. The high was

:03:07. > :03:12.managing my bank account well, it is now so far in an overdraft that

:03:12. > :03:16.I feel totally devastated. I feel I will never get it back on a level

:03:16. > :03:20.now. Frances does not feel confident to lead her home now.

:03:20. > :03:23.Trading standards are appealing for anyone with information to contact

:03:23. > :03:26.them. Police in Australia have arrested a

:03:26. > :03:29.50-year-old man in connection with the death of a woman from

:03:29. > :03:32.Nottingham. 48-year old Sally Brooks died on the day she was due

:03:32. > :03:35.to return permanently to Nottinghamshire. The mother-of-

:03:35. > :03:40.three was found with severe head injuries at her home in Melbourne

:03:40. > :03:46.in July. She'd been struggling as a single mother after a divorce two

:03:46. > :03:49.year ago, and wanted to start a new life with her family in the UK.

:03:49. > :03:53.The bill for policing last month's disturbances in Leicester has

:03:53. > :03:56.reached more than half a million pounds - and could rise further.

:03:56. > :03:59.The figures have been collated for the Home Office. Leicestershire

:03:59. > :04:06.Police has covered the cost by drawing on a 1 million emergency

:04:06. > :04:10.fund. More than 90 people were arrested during the trouble. Still

:04:10. > :04:20.to come: Crime and punishment - we meet the convicted drug dealer

:04:20. > :04:23.

:04:23. > :04:25.trying to stop teenagers making the Big changes to the region's

:04:25. > :04:30.parliamentary map could see some of our best-known politicians

:04:30. > :04:33.scrambling for a new seat. Both the Justice Secretary Ken

:04:33. > :04:39.Clarke and Labour's Vernon Coaker are among many MPs now facing an

:04:39. > :04:42.uncertain future. It's because, under new proposals,

:04:42. > :04:49.their constituencies will be abolished. Here's our Political

:04:49. > :04:57.Editor John Hess. The number of constituencies in the East Midlands

:04:57. > :05:00.Derbyshire loses a seat as two constituencies - Amber Valley and

:05:00. > :05:03.Mid-Derbyshire, are merged. That's means the current MPs - Pauline

:05:03. > :05:06.Latham and Nigel Mills - both Conservatives and elected for the

:05:06. > :05:10.first time in the last election, will have to compete for the new

:05:10. > :05:15.seat. In Nottinghamshire, Ken Clarke's Rushcliffe vanish off the

:05:15. > :05:17.parliamentary map. Altogether with his area parcelled out three ways

:05:17. > :05:27.to Newark, Nottingham South and a new constituency of Keyworth and

:05:27. > :05:33.

:05:33. > :05:38.Personally, I would regret the banishing of the area, I have

:05:38. > :05:42.always represented it, but what I'm going to do is wait for it to see

:05:42. > :05:46.how the consultation goes up, see if anything comes up that is any

:05:46. > :05:51.better, and not rush to any decisions. In due course a will

:05:51. > :05:55.have to decide what I am going to do. I have faced this before. This

:05:55. > :06:02.time, the thing to do is not to instantly react, but wait and see

:06:02. > :06:12.Vernon Coaker's Gedling is also abolished, with most of his wards

:06:12. > :06:17.going into a wider Nottingham East. I am happy where I am as Gedling,

:06:17. > :06:21.we will have to wait and see, see what the Boundary Commission

:06:21. > :06:27.finally come up with, but at present time, I am the MP for

:06:27. > :06:35.The city also gets a new constituency - Nottingham West.

:06:35. > :06:40.It's here and in Derbyshire that That level of change is happening

:06:40. > :06:43.throughout the country. Derbyshire, the whole East Midlands, is not

:06:43. > :06:49.unique in that respect, the rest of England is undergoing the same

:06:49. > :06:51.Many constituencies aren't affected, but can you imagine election night

:06:51. > :06:54.without hearing those familiar names of Charnwood, Leicestershire

:06:55. > :07:04.North West, Amber Valley, Gedling and Rushcliffe. It won't be quite

:07:05. > :07:06.

:07:06. > :07:08.Next, the fight to deliver a massive rail contract to Derby.

:07:08. > :07:11.Today, at the TUC conference, union delegates called on the Government

:07:11. > :07:13.to overturn its decision on Thameslink.

:07:13. > :07:16.And last night Derby City Council voted unanimously to provide

:07:16. > :07:21.financial support to the unions in legal action over Bombardier's lost

:07:21. > :07:24.contract. In a moment we'll be speaking to

:07:24. > :07:32.Philip Hickson, the leader of Derby City Council but first, Kylie

:07:32. > :07:36.Pentelow reports. The message has been clear. From

:07:36. > :07:41.Derby, they have taken their fight to London, where workers gathered

:07:41. > :07:45.outside Parliament, determined that the debate will go on. And now this

:07:45. > :07:49.morning, the Labour leader Ed Miliband joined in the campaign.

:07:49. > :07:52.Speaking at the TUC's annual conference, he made clear what he

:07:53. > :07:57.thought the government role should be. The government has to work in

:07:57. > :08:01.partnership with business and the workforce. To understand what

:08:01. > :08:07.technologies and skills we need for the future. To provide the

:08:07. > :08:14.certainty they need to invest. To look at what government buys. So

:08:14. > :08:20.that innovative companies, and British companies, can succeed. And

:08:20. > :08:23.that includes companies like Bombardier, being cruelly sold down

:08:23. > :08:27.the river by the government. This afternoon the conference approved a

:08:27. > :08:31.motion calling on the government to overturn its decision. This motion

:08:31. > :08:35.is about saving UK rail manufacturers, it is about Derby

:08:35. > :08:39.and the East Midlands economy, it is about skills and the future for

:08:39. > :08:43.young people and workers across the country, about implementing social

:08:43. > :08:48.clauses and fighting for better, and keeping UK rail manufacturing

:08:48. > :08:52.on track. I support it. The 1400 people back in Derby who face

:08:52. > :08:58.losing their jobs are hoping that his backing will convince the

:08:58. > :09:03.government it has made the wrong choice.

:09:03. > :09:06.Let's talk to the leader of the city council in Derby. Good evening.

:09:06. > :09:14.Plenty of support last night for this legal review into the

:09:14. > :09:18.Bombardier decision. Indeed, the motion that will support funding

:09:18. > :09:23.very judicial review of the unions decide to take that was unanimously

:09:23. > :09:27.approved by every member present last night. In financial terms,

:09:27. > :09:32.what degree of backing would you give to the unions? It is not a

:09:32. > :09:37.blank cheque, is it? Indeed, it is difficult to say. As I understand

:09:37. > :09:42.it, the judicial review is in two stages. It will go before a judge,

:09:42. > :09:48.and then go to a full hearing in court. The cost of the first part

:09:48. > :09:51.of fairly modest, between 12 and 15,000. But the costs then begin

:09:51. > :09:58.to escalate if it goes to a full hearing. I don't know at this stage

:09:58. > :10:05.what that might be. Report today that not one Conservative MP has

:10:05. > :10:11.signed a Commons motion backing the plan to save Bombardier. I don't

:10:11. > :10:16.think it is lack of will on members's Park, I think what they

:10:16. > :10:21.did was so did the early day motions are rather meaningless,

:10:21. > :10:24.their gestures rather than doing anything practical. But MPs have

:10:24. > :10:28.been extremely supportive, so I don't read anything into battles

:10:28. > :10:33.top thank you for that. Police investigating the death of a Derby

:10:33. > :10:37.man have arrested three more men on suspicion of murder. 43-year-old

:10:37. > :10:40.Johnny Assani was assaulted in the city in July. He died at the

:10:40. > :10:43.Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham. Three other men have

:10:43. > :10:49.already been charged with his murder. This morning officers

:10:49. > :10:52.arrested two 19-year-olds and a 20- year-old.

:10:52. > :10:55.Dozens of sites across Nottingham have been earmarked for new homes.

:10:55. > :10:59.The Government wants more than 16,500 new homes built in the city

:10:59. > :11:03.by 2026. City councillors will be discussing the proposed sites over

:11:03. > :11:08.the coming weeks. Some of the housing developments will also

:11:08. > :11:10.include shops and other businesses. A director at Leicester City

:11:10. > :11:15.Council has been suspended on full pay whilst an internal

:11:15. > :11:18.investigation takes place. It's understood Kim Curry, the Strategic

:11:18. > :11:23.Director for Adults and Communities was relieved of her duties

:11:23. > :11:26.yesterday. East Midlands Today has learnt that

:11:26. > :11:32.the investigation centres on allegations made by senior members

:11:32. > :11:39.of staff within her team. Victoria Hicks joins us now from our

:11:39. > :11:41.newsroom in Leicester. What more can you tell us? Well, this evening

:11:41. > :11:49.I've learnt that the complaints centre on Kim Curry's management

:11:49. > :11:55.style and have been made by senior members within her team. The

:11:55. > :12:00.council says that this will be in - - independent investigation. Whilst

:12:00. > :12:05.it is under way, it means another member of the senior management

:12:05. > :12:09.team at Leicester City Council will take over Kim's key

:12:09. > :12:15.responsibilities in the short term. This is a neutral investigation, it

:12:15. > :12:20.does not imply guilt. That is why she is suspended on full pay. She

:12:20. > :12:25.is one of six so-called strategic directors, work under the de --

:12:25. > :12:28.chief executive, and her department provides adult social services for

:12:29. > :12:34.carers and older people in Leicester. She has been in post for

:12:34. > :12:39.more than 2 1/2 years. The council have -- want to deal with this

:12:39. > :12:49.situation within weeks. It is keen to look avoid a situation like De

:12:49. > :12:50.

:12:50. > :12:55.They are rare first-hand insight into the dangerous world of dance

:12:55. > :13:04.culture now. This man went to jail for dealing drugs and carrying a

:13:04. > :13:13.gun. Now he has been recruited by a youth project in Derby.

:13:13. > :13:19.Our social affairs correspondent reports from the Enthusiasm Centre.

:13:19. > :13:22.This is had his first proper job after seven years in jail. He is

:13:22. > :13:29.determined to show he has turned his back on gang culture but it has

:13:29. > :13:35.taken a lot of courage to speak about it publicly because he still

:13:35. > :13:39.have a kind of lifestyle that most of us used to see in the movies.

:13:39. > :13:48.decided to go into town for a drink and something happened in town. I

:13:48. > :13:54.ran off and hid the gun and I got caught on camera. It is not worth

:13:54. > :14:04.it. His prison sentence was not enough to deter a spate of

:14:04. > :14:06.

:14:06. > :14:13.shootings in Derby. This is where it 15 the-year-old child was killed.

:14:13. > :14:18.The likelihood of me being involved in it was eight out of 10. I could

:14:18. > :14:23.have tried to defuse the situation, but I probably would have failed.

:14:23. > :14:27.Now he is involved in something much more positive. He is one of

:14:27. > :14:33.five but former gang members who have been given six-month contracts

:14:33. > :14:37.after passing police checks. His boss knows it is a risk. One of the

:14:38. > :14:43.other recruits has already been recalled to present to -- for

:14:43. > :14:48.breaching his licence. So a bit of think that a leopard never changes

:14:48. > :14:51.his spots. But I think that he admits he has made major mistakes

:14:51. > :14:56.and is now saying that he wants to do something positive and stop

:14:57. > :15:01.people making the same mistakes. is convinced that he made those

:15:01. > :15:05.mistakes because he did not have a father figure and turned do these

:15:05. > :15:08.breeds for role-models and stared. When I was selling drugs, I knew

:15:08. > :15:13.people spoke to me with fear because of what they thought I

:15:13. > :15:17.would do all those I was associated with. Now I can think that people

:15:17. > :15:23.do respect me. They are happy for me because I am trying to help

:15:23. > :15:28.their kids and prevent them from going down the same route.

:15:28. > :15:31.Next tonight, a this far surgeons in the East Midlands who perform

:15:31. > :15:36.laser surgery. Five key medical organisations have endorsed it as

:15:36. > :15:42.an alternative to radiotherapy for patients with small throat cancers.

:15:42. > :15:49.Iraq Derby hospital is the only NHS facility in these rhythms to carry

:15:49. > :15:54.out the procedure -- the Royal Derby Hospital -- in the East

:15:54. > :16:03.Midlands. For I prefer to be at home if I can. This man's throat

:16:03. > :16:08.cancer has left 10 losing his voice. She cannot understand me at times.

:16:08. > :16:13.I cannot answer the phone because people cannot understand me.

:16:13. > :16:19.Smoking is probably to blame, a habit started in haste in the 1960s

:16:19. > :16:25.before he was married and now he can regret it at leisure. I regret

:16:26. > :16:31.it but you cannot go back. Just have to go forwards to the future.

:16:31. > :16:37.This could be the future of one of throat cancer patients, laser

:16:37. > :16:44.surgery. His chin there is only millimetres that long. This is a

:16:45. > :16:49.picture of the voice box and you can clearly see the cancerous area.

:16:49. > :16:53.The high frequency laser-beam can effectively cut out to the tumour.

:16:53. > :16:57.This operation is a potential cure for throat cancer with the patient

:16:58. > :17:01.typically spending just one night in hospital. New guidelines for

:17:01. > :17:06.head and neck cancer endorsed by ear nose and throat specialists

:17:06. > :17:09.from across the UK now recommend for the first time this treatment

:17:09. > :17:13.for people with small throat cancers as an alternative to

:17:13. > :17:18.radiotherapy. Take up has been patchy but could improve with more

:17:18. > :17:24.awareness. A there is a perception among surgeons that with this

:17:24. > :17:30.report that the rate of laser receptions goes up in time. --

:17:30. > :17:35.laser wreak section. He cannot speak for 48 hours after surgery

:17:35. > :17:40.and normal speech may take up to six months to return.

:17:40. > :17:45.Incredible. It might have been warm and sunny for some of us but turn

:17:45. > :17:50.your thoughts to the possibility of another harsh winter on the horizon.

:17:50. > :17:54.Our three main county councils are already preparing for the worst by

:17:54. > :18:01.a stocking up on their reserves of gritting salt. Reserves ran low at

:18:01. > :18:04.times last year so this time around do they are taking no chances.

:18:05. > :18:10.Remember these scenes from last winter? Icy conditions brought

:18:10. > :18:14.misery and danger to our roads. In mid-September and with the clocks

:18:14. > :18:21.are yet to go back, steps are being taken to ensure that our region's

:18:21. > :18:25.Road East stay open. Leicestershire County Council already have 16,500

:18:25. > :18:30.tonnes of grit sold in their depots. Derbyshire have 14,000 tonnes with

:18:30. > :18:35.10,000 more on order. Nottinghamshire have 15,000 tonnes

:18:35. > :18:41.with 4000 more to be delivered. last couple of winters have been

:18:41. > :18:45.exceptional and we coped extremely well through those. We have the

:18:45. > :18:51.fault grit that we need for a full winter and should it be extremely

:18:51. > :18:54.bad, we will be in a position to order more. There is already 3500

:18:54. > :18:59.tonnes that this rip salt depot in new work. The county council

:18:59. > :19:05.believe that come the winter, they may need all of it. The last two

:19:05. > :19:09.winters have been exceptional. The early forecasts are for a cold snap

:19:09. > :19:15.at the beginning of the winter. We might end up with a mild winter, as

:19:15. > :19:22.they forecast last year. We have the sole, we have the grifters, the

:19:22. > :19:28.drivers have been recruited. -- we have the salt, we have the grifters.

:19:28. > :19:31.They are undergoing training for route familiarisation. All three

:19:31. > :19:38.county councils are confident that if the treacherous weather does

:19:38. > :19:43.return in the next few months, they are fully prepared.

:19:43. > :19:46.Nice to hear! Still to come, the fruit growers enjoying an

:19:46. > :19:52.unexpected windfall. The big freeze of last winter was

:19:52. > :19:55.followed by a stunning sprint and that has led to a very fruitful

:19:55. > :20:00.autumn in how what ought to and -- orchards.

:20:00. > :20:03.The strong winds have brought most of the apples out of the trees in

:20:03. > :20:12.my garden but the good news is that things are going to start to calm

:20:12. > :20:22.down. More weather for you at the end of the programme.

:20:22. > :20:24.

:20:24. > :20:28.In sport, let us go straight to Jeremy. Nathan Tyson could make his

:20:28. > :20:33.debut on Saturday. He looked sharp this afternoon in a friendly

:20:33. > :20:38.against Leicester City. Injury has prevented him playing senses

:20:38. > :20:42.transfers and he knows all about the emotion of the Derby. He was

:20:42. > :20:46.involved in a controversial flag- waving incident. Nigel Clough will

:20:46. > :20:51.decide on Friday whether he will make the squad for the bigger game.

:20:51. > :20:54.He may have scored but Derby went down to Leicester 3-2.

:20:54. > :20:59.Great news far a young Derby for a bowler whose career was threatened

:20:59. > :21:04.by a heart problems. This is the moment when 18-year-old Mark

:21:04. > :21:07.O'Brien could not believe it when he signed a new four-year contract.

:21:07. > :21:11.He has spent nearly a year out after major surgery but has played

:21:12. > :21:16.in every game so far this season. England's cricketers are riding

:21:16. > :21:21.high at the moment and nothing to stay at the top of world cricket. I

:21:21. > :21:28.donned up with a form of willow -- former world champion Pat Willows

:21:28. > :21:33.Sports Centre. Mike Gatting is here to see how the

:21:33. > :21:38.investment is being made in cricket at grassroots level. They have put

:21:38. > :21:45.about the dirty dozen pounds in two best to make it a nice experience

:21:45. > :21:48.for people -- 30,000. We have got new nets, likes, scoreboard, are

:21:48. > :21:55.changing whims completely modernised postop after a brilliant

:21:55. > :22:00.summer, England are now ranked No. 1 in Test cricket and they now aim

:22:00. > :22:04.to be ranked at number one at all levels of the game. It is about

:22:04. > :22:08.getting the young kids playing and getting the best coaches. They are

:22:08. > :22:12.at the top of the world in the men's and women's games. We were a

:22:12. > :22:16.number one first and it is always nice when we do something first and

:22:16. > :22:21.they catch up. We are still trying to get better and hopefully be

:22:21. > :22:26.number one again next year. Then a football-mad country, it is good to

:22:26. > :22:33.see youngsters who now dream of being Graeme Swann or Stewart broad.

:22:33. > :22:38.When you have got heroes like that, more kids come and play. It is so

:22:38. > :22:44.good to see how many children are playing now days. Stuart Broad is

:22:44. > :22:51.out of the start -- start of the tour of India with a torn shoulder

:22:52. > :22:56.injury. Very talented, you do not want to lose Stuart Broad, but it

:22:56. > :23:03.is a good situation for England. Are we going to see you in action?

:23:03. > :23:10.We will have to wait and see! I am a bit rusty at the moment. Have you

:23:10. > :23:14.got a fitness test to pass? I am unfit, I know that!

:23:14. > :23:19.The last games of the season of the outdoor cricket are taking place

:23:19. > :23:25.this evening. At Grace Road, Middlesex have overtaken

:23:25. > :23:31.Leicestershire. At the Oval, Surrey are looking a long way off at

:23:31. > :23:36.Derbyshire. We was show the Gulf -- goals tomorrow if they are any.

:23:36. > :23:39.It has been an unusually the air for farmers and growers in the East

:23:39. > :23:42.Midlands. A stunning sprint followed by his soggy summer has

:23:42. > :23:47.meant some challenging growing conditions.

:23:47. > :23:52.For one section of the agricultural community, the topsy-turvy weather

:23:52. > :23:58.has been pretty good news. The freak conditions mean it has been a

:23:58. > :24:02.bumper year for apples. Is it is a beautiful September

:24:02. > :24:06.morning with just a hint of autumn in the air here at Calke Abbey

:24:06. > :24:10.which means it is a perfect time for gathering up apples.

:24:10. > :24:14.That is exactly what to be a volunteer team has been doing

:24:14. > :24:18.rather earlier than usual. Particularly yesterday, apples were

:24:18. > :24:22.flying all over the place and we were trying to gather the windfalls

:24:22. > :24:26.and keep them by variety but you could not because they had

:24:26. > :24:31.travelled so far and they have all got muddled up. Autumn storms a

:24:31. > :24:36.part, it has been a superb summer apple growing. April and May worked

:24:36. > :24:41.really nice and warm said that got everything moving early. The

:24:41. > :24:47.harvest is fantastic. It might not be as welcome, but the unusual

:24:47. > :24:53.weather has meant another bumper crop as well, spiders. Fritz and

:24:53. > :24:58.apples have done really well but also insects have done really well.

:24:58. > :25:04.-- Fritz and apples. It has not been too hot nor too wet and has

:25:04. > :25:08.been great for insects including spiders. It is not always a bad

:25:08. > :25:14.thing. A hundred years ago, the housemaids app Calke Abbey would

:25:14. > :25:21.have been flat at with the cobwebs. You can do anything with apples,

:25:21. > :25:25.sups with it, starters, main course, you can make chutney, sweeps. You

:25:26. > :25:29.name it, you can do it. Whether you take the healthy option of

:25:29. > :25:37.something slightly less good for you, the weather this summer has

:25:37. > :25:47.meant a bumper crop. Are we clear because this is too

:25:47. > :25:49.

:25:49. > :25:59.That is the happiest he has looked for weeks!

:25:59. > :26:06.It has fantastic gathering the apples from the trees. Some good

:26:06. > :26:12.news when it comes to the winds, it is going to die down. Thank you for

:26:12. > :26:16.this photo from Melton Mowbray. We have seen a few showers through the

:26:16. > :26:20.afternoon and we still have the odd one or two with us at the moment.

:26:20. > :26:25.This evening, we will gradually see the showers diminishing. There is

:26:25. > :26:30.more rain on the way. It is weakening as it works its way down

:26:30. > :26:33.the country. It is just reaching parts of Derbyshire and the North

:26:33. > :26:39.Nottinghamshire. It could produce the odd shower by the early hours

:26:39. > :26:44.of the morning. Minimum temperatures of 11 degrees. First

:26:44. > :26:49.thing tomorrow morning, the best of any sunshine in the south and east.

:26:49. > :26:53.The weather front is trying to work its way southwards, increasing the

:26:53. > :26:58.cloud cover and producing the odd shower in the north. Maximum

:26:59. > :27:03.temperature of 18 degrees tomorrow. In the afternoon, the winds will

:27:03. > :27:09.start to ease. A choir tonight tomorrow night but the downside

:27:09. > :27:13.will be that the temperatures are soon going to drop. Minimum of six

:27:13. > :27:17.degrees tomorrow night, much colder feel to the night. A cold September

:27:17. > :27:22.morning on Thursday. It should be a mainly dry day and there will be

:27:22. > :27:26.some sunshine. By Friday, it will be changing a bit with some more

:27:26. > :27:31.rain in the north. That will increase the cloud over us. By the

:27:31. > :27:36.weekend, it will be quite showery and windy.
