:00:00. > :00:08.This is East Midlands Today with Anne Davies and Dominic Heale.

:00:08. > :00:19.Tonight: a third of Derbyshire's fire stations could close to save

:00:19. > :00:25.money. Dozens of firefighters' jobs could also go. Bosses say the

:00:25. > :00:29.service has to change. We have had a reduction of 62% in fires, therefore

:00:29. > :00:35.we have got to change our delivery service. Also tonight, Steve

:00:35. > :00:43.McClaren is the new man at Pride Park. Hopefully Things Will Work

:00:43. > :00:46.Out. Plus, As A Giant New Landmark Is Moved Into Position, There Is

:00:46. > :00:51.Talk Of Another Tramline For Nottingham. And the grand design

:00:51. > :01:06.with big ideas. Good evening and welcome to Monday's

:01:06. > :01:08.programme. First tonight, a third of Derbyshire's fire stations could

:01:08. > :01:14.close under major changes planned for the county's fire service.

:01:14. > :01:20.Budget cuts of around 40% could also lead to the loss of around a quarter

:01:20. > :01:23.of full—time firefighters' posts. Tonight the government has said the

:01:23. > :01:26.fire service may need to share its resources in order to save the

:01:26. > :01:30.money. Well, our reporter Simon Hare is at

:01:30. > :01:38.one of the stations under threat. Simon, what more do we know about

:01:39. > :01:44.these proposals? This fire station in Derby was only redeveloped in

:01:44. > :01:50.March last year. Under these proposals, all three fire stations

:01:50. > :01:56.in Derby could close and be replaced with one single, central station. It

:01:56. > :02:00.is because of a predicted 40% cut in the fire service budget over the

:02:00. > :02:05.next few years. These changes have been described to me today as the

:02:05. > :02:11.biggest shake—up in fire service cover in Derbyshire since 1947.

:02:11. > :02:15.Derbyshire firefighters at a house that was struck by lightning in

:02:15. > :02:18.July. Under the proposals announced today, the nearest fire station to

:02:18. > :02:26.this incident in the future will be at Ripley and Ilkeston. Other

:02:26. > :02:30.closures would see all three fire stations in Derby merged into one

:02:30. > :02:33.new Central Station. There are currently 31 fire stations across

:02:33. > :02:38.Derbyshire. Under the proposed closures and mergers, that would go

:02:39. > :02:43.down to 20. 78 full—time firefighter posts would also be lost. That is

:02:43. > :02:51.around a quarter of the current total. Over the last ten years the

:02:51. > :02:54.service has seen a reduction of 50% in its call ratio, but we haven't

:02:54. > :02:59.made any significant change to how we deliver service. We have had a

:02:59. > :03:05.reduction of 62% in fires. We have got to change how we deliver the

:03:05. > :03:12.service. When people pick up the phone and dial 999, is a vehicle

:03:12. > :03:18.going to turn up? That will happen and it is a guarantee. The

:03:18. > :03:24.government's minister has said savings could be made in other ways.

:03:24. > :03:28.We should be looking at whether it shares across boundaries. And how it

:03:28. > :03:32.shares with other parts of the blue light service. The local authority

:03:32. > :03:36.is well could make sure there is not this duplication of rising costs.

:03:36. > :03:42.And that the money is funnelled into the front line service that we love,

:03:42. > :03:47.protect and want to keep. Tonight, there is a branch meeting of the

:03:47. > :03:54.Fire Brigades Union taking place. Earlier, I spoke to the chairman of

:03:54. > :03:59.the fur brigade union for his reaction to these proposals —— Fire

:03:59. > :04:05.Brigades Union. The implications of this, the resilience within the

:04:05. > :04:13.organisation, is very worrying. Could be life—threatening? I would

:04:13. > :04:17.hate to sensationalise this but potentially it could. Talking about

:04:17. > :04:20.the response times of up to 75% of households will receive a fire

:04:20. > :04:29.service within ten minutes, that will be reduced. That talk of lives

:04:30. > :04:32.being put at risk has been dismissed as alarmist by the government

:04:32. > :04:37.tonight. The finer details of all the closures will be put on the fire

:04:37. > :04:43.service website from tomorrow. The public will then have 12 weeks in

:04:43. > :04:50.which they can have their say. Thank you. Other news, the house in Derby

:04:50. > :04:54.were six children were killed by their parents has been demolished.

:04:54. > :04:58.Workmen have been taking 18 Victory Road, where the children of Mick and

:04:58. > :05:02.Mairead Philpott died in May last year apart. The house next door has

:05:02. > :05:06.already been knocked down. The work is expected to last another week.

:05:06. > :05:08.New housing will then be built on the site.

:05:08. > :05:18.A man's been 20—year—old Antoin Akpom died after

:05:18. > :05:21.an attack on Kent Street in the city earlier this month. A 19—year—old

:05:21. > :05:24.was arrested in Cardiff last night. Another 19—year—old has already been

:05:24. > :05:27.charged with Mr Akpom's murder and will appear at Leicester Crown Court

:05:27. > :05:31.at a later date. Still to come: A tricky manoeuvre in

:05:31. > :05:33.the middle of the night. A tram bridge is moved into position over

:05:33. > :05:37.Nottingham's ring road. And today there's talk of another

:05:37. > :05:47.line being added to the tram network.

:05:47. > :06:00.seven people have now been charged with murdering four members of the

:06:00. > :06:03.same family in a house fire in Leicester. The bodies of Shehnila

:06:03. > :06:06.Taufiq and her three teenage children were found at their home on

:06:06. > :06:09.Wood Hill earlier this month. Our reporter Eleanor Garnier was at

:06:09. > :06:12.Leicester Magistrates Court this morning and she joins us now.

:06:12. > :06:17.Eleanor, can you bring us up to date? Two men appeared in court this

:06:17. > :06:23.morning. A 19—year—old from Leicester and a 21—year—old who

:06:23. > :06:27.lives in Leeds. They both face four counts of murder. The hearings

:06:27. > :06:32.lasted just a couple of minutes each, and the men spoke only to

:06:32. > :06:35.confirm their names, addresses and that they understood the charges.

:06:35. > :06:39.They have both been remanded into custody and will appear at Leicester

:06:39. > :06:46.Crown Court on Wednesday for a bail hearing. Take us back to when this

:06:46. > :06:54.house fire happened. It was in the early hours of Friday the 13th of

:06:54. > :06:59.September. For members of the family all died after flames engulfed their

:06:59. > :07:09.home. Shehnila Taufiq, her 19—year—old daughter and her two

:07:09. > :07:18.sons, they all died. Today's court appearances are in addition to some

:07:18. > :07:24.earlier charges. Four people, to our both 19, as well as a 16—year—old

:07:24. > :07:28.who cannot be named for legal reasons. They all appeared at the

:07:28. > :07:32.magistrates on Saturday. They each face four counts of murder. Another

:07:32. > :07:34.man, Kemo Porter, who's 18 and facing the same charges, was

:07:34. > :07:41.remanded into custody earlier this month. That is seven people now in

:07:41. > :07:47.total all accused of murdering four members of the same family. Thanks

:07:47. > :07:50.for that. You're watching East Midlands Today.

:07:50. > :07:53.One of the region's leading opponents of the proposed high speed

:07:53. > :07:57.rail link through the East Midlands has been invited for talks with the

:07:57. > :08:00.Prime Minister. The invitation to Andrew Bridgen, the North West

:08:00. > :08:02.Leicestershire MP, came on the day that the Conservative Party

:08:02. > :08:07.conference heard powerful arguments for HS2, despite concerns over

:08:07. > :08:16.escalating costs. This report from Manchester is by our Political

:08:16. > :08:18.Editor John Hess. The anti—HS2 elephant that greeted

:08:18. > :08:22.conservative activists for their conference was deflated today. Could

:08:22. > :08:27.it sense that the Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin have

:08:27. > :08:35.the political wind in his sales on backing HS2? In Manchester, I am

:08:35. > :08:40.proud to support HS2, just as I am proud to support it in cities like

:08:40. > :08:48.Sheffield, Leeds, Nottingham, Derby, Glasgow and Birmingham. All the

:08:48. > :08:53.great cities of this country. But outside the conference all, mixed

:08:53. > :08:56.views for the party's rank—and—file. I don't think it will benefit the

:08:56. > :09:04.expenditure. There are probably better ways of achieving the same

:09:04. > :09:07.aims. I think it is actually good, if it brings jobs, and it also gets

:09:07. > :09:14.investment outside London. I think that is a good thing. The North West

:09:14. > :09:19.Leicestershire Tory MP is shown the latest campaign video by anti—HS2

:09:19. > :09:24.campaigners. It may be rattling a few cages in Downing Street. It has

:09:24. > :09:29.already won him his first HS2 one—to—one with David Cameron. I am

:09:29. > :09:33.grateful to express to the Prime Minister migrate concerns, and I

:09:33. > :09:36.believe the concerns of the majority of people in the country that this

:09:36. > :09:42.whole project is spiralling out of control. Patrick McLoughlin the

:09:42. > :09:45.Chancellor remain upbeat about HS2. The reality is that the image of the

:09:45. > :09:50.white elephant is not going to go away soon.

:09:50. > :09:55.20 shotguns and a stun gun are among weapons handed in as part of a

:09:55. > :09:59.firearms amnesty in Leicestershire. It's been running for ten days. The

:09:59. > :10:03.haul so far also includes 11 pistols, a revolver and nearly 100

:10:03. > :10:06.bullets. Police say they started the county's first amnesty for a decade

:10:06. > :10:12.to remove unwanted and unlicensed firearms from the streets. It

:10:12. > :10:15.finishes on Sunday. The company which leases Mallory

:10:15. > :10:20.Park race track in Leicestershire has been put into administration.

:10:20. > :10:23.Mallory Park Motorsport Limited says it has suffered significant losses

:10:23. > :10:28.after it was forced to limit the use of the track to two days a week.

:10:28. > :10:33.This followed a breach of a noise order. Testing and racing has been

:10:33. > :10:39.cancelled this week. The administrator hopes racing can be

:10:39. > :10:42.enjoyed for years to come. Nearly £50,000 in legal fees has

:10:42. > :10:46.been spent by governors at a troubled Leicester primary school.

:10:46. > :10:50.The headteacher at Uplands Junior in Highfields was suspended by the city

:10:50. > :10:54.council earlier this month and the governors' powers were removed. The

:10:54. > :10:58.school's defended its spending between April and September, saying

:10:58. > :11:07.it was partially for staff matters. The council's investigating.

:11:07. > :11:11.Leicester's bid to become the next UK City of Culture was given a

:11:11. > :11:14.colourful send—off this morning. The final document was brought into the

:11:14. > :11:18.city on a vintage wagon accompanied by the Leicester rock band Kasabian.

:11:18. > :11:21.The bid will go to Manchester, to be considered along with entries from

:11:21. > :11:24.Dundee, Hull and Swansea Bay. Whilst the government is expected to make

:11:24. > :11:33.its decision in November there was only one winner in Leicester today.

:11:33. > :11:36.I think it is important for Leicester to move on as a city.

:11:36. > :11:40.Especially with the arts now, pushing them forward. It should be

:11:40. > :11:49.great for the city. Our kids live here now, our children, the king is

:11:49. > :11:53.buried here as well. Next tonight, it's on the market for

:11:53. > :11:55.more than a million pounds. But a big selling point is it will save

:11:55. > :11:58.you money. That's because a new property at

:11:58. > :12:02.Great Glen in Leicestershire is one of the country's first 'zero carbon'

:12:02. > :12:06.homes. In three years' time, the government

:12:06. > :12:10.wants all new homes to be zero carbon. So could the new home built

:12:10. > :12:21.by a father and son team be the way forward? Jo Healey went to find out.

:12:21. > :12:27.I have always wanted my Kevin Maguire to moment, and this is it.

:12:27. > :12:31.And this is the grand design, and what makes this place so important

:12:31. > :12:36.to you as it could mean no more fuel bills. That is because it has taken

:12:36. > :12:44.technologies that are already around and combined them. So what is so

:12:44. > :12:48.unique about the way this works? It is unique because we take the warm

:12:48. > :12:51.from the sun during the summer when it is abundantly available, and we

:12:51. > :12:56.push it into the ground, underneath the building, which is warmed, and

:12:56. > :13:01.we take it back in the winter to heat the house. So it is the storing

:13:01. > :13:05.of the energy from the sun that matters. Not that bills would

:13:05. > :13:09.probably bother you too much if you could afford this, but there is a

:13:09. > :13:13.lot of interest, and not just from buyers. For the next year, a team of

:13:13. > :13:20.experts will be keeping a close eye on its efficiency. It is a really

:13:20. > :13:24.exciting project. We want to see how the house is really performing in

:13:24. > :13:27.winter. And then to see how it can be rolled out across a much wider

:13:27. > :13:35.market, across the UK and maybe across Europe. How excited are you

:13:35. > :13:39.buy all this? We are thrilled. We are looking forward to building more

:13:39. > :13:47.houses like it. With no energy bills? The houses will be completely

:13:47. > :13:51.self—sufficient for energy. That's an incentive for those of us who may

:13:51. > :13:56.be afford —— able to afford a much smaller version.

:13:56. > :13:59.We like that. Nottingham's tram network could be

:13:59. > :14:03.extended with another new line and a link to the proposed new HS2 station

:14:03. > :14:07.on the edge of the City. Talks are being held about taking

:14:07. > :14:11.the tram out to the Eastwood area and to the high—speed hub at Toton

:14:11. > :14:15.towards Derby. The news came as a new landmark tram

:14:15. > :14:28.bridge was edged into place across one of Nottingham's busiest roads.

:14:28. > :14:31.Mike O'Sullivan reports. Moved by special transporters and

:14:31. > :14:34.lowered with incredible accuracy, this 1000 tonne tram Bridge has

:14:34. > :14:42.become a new landmark in Nottingham. On Saturday night, waste across the

:14:42. > :14:46.A52 dual carriageway. It was euphoria for the team that were

:14:46. > :14:50.here. Many hours of preparation over the last few days have culminated in

:14:50. > :14:56.a fantastic achievement for the team. The bridge is part of a £570

:14:56. > :15:01.million extension of the tram network, building two new lines out

:15:01. > :15:06.to Clifton and Chilwell with work due to finish next year. This bridge

:15:06. > :15:09.is hugely impressive, but the scale of ambition for the tram network

:15:09. > :15:17.does not end here. There is no talk of building a new line out to

:15:17. > :15:21.Kimberley. Looking at Toton makes sense as the HS2 project develops.

:15:21. > :15:24.We are having conversations, we have not got a definitive plan yet but

:15:24. > :15:28.conversation continues and we need to work out what is realistic,

:15:28. > :15:36.affordable and how we can achieve it. There will be a tram stop as the

:15:36. > :15:38.elevated line goes past the hospital. Secondary glazing has been

:15:38. > :15:42.put in place to stop the noise affecting patients. The next big

:15:42. > :15:46.project is a bridge at Clifton, heart of the bridge there collapsed

:15:46. > :15:50.earlier this month. The builders blame engineering design problems,

:15:50. > :15:57.but say that beams are being remanufactured and the job will be

:15:57. > :16:03.completed in November. One of ten bridges and supports being built for

:16:03. > :16:07.the tram extension. A lot of digging going on in

:16:07. > :16:15.Nottingham these days. Exciting stuff in sport. New manager, Colin?

:16:15. > :16:17.Indeed. In just the last hour, Derby County have officially appointed

:16:17. > :16:21.Steve McClaren as their new head coach. The former England,

:16:21. > :16:26.Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest boss replaces Nigel Clough. Our

:16:26. > :16:30.sports editor Natalie Jackson has been following the story and is life

:16:30. > :16:36.for us. It has been a remarkable 48 hours.

:16:36. > :16:40.Tonight, Steve McClaren is back in English management with his old club

:16:40. > :16:47.Derby County. He was all smiles as he arrived for talks at Mallory

:16:47. > :16:54.Park. —— Pride Park. It is great to come back. Hopefully things will

:16:54. > :17:00.work out. Banks very much. The former England boss has been caught

:17:00. > :17:03.at QPR since July. This is his third spell at Derby. He served as a

:17:04. > :17:09.player, then assistant manager in the 90s, helping the club to the

:17:09. > :17:13.Premier League. We have to be challenging for the play—offs.

:17:13. > :17:20.Challenging to get into the top two and the Premier League. He replaces

:17:20. > :17:23.Nigel Clough, who was sacked on Saturday just hours after defeat in

:17:23. > :17:29.the local derby with Nottingham Forest. We have got to assess what

:17:29. > :17:36.we have here. Excellent new players, a great style of football,

:17:36. > :17:40.Nigel has done a great job. We have to develop that and make that

:17:40. > :17:46.better. That is our job. We have two and a half years to do it. He posed

:17:46. > :17:52.for photographs with fans and said he was aware he would have to work

:17:52. > :17:54.within a budget. Ultimately you have to get the balance between the

:17:54. > :18:00.ambitions of what you want, what the owners want, and there is ambitions

:18:00. > :18:03.there. It has stabilised over the last three or four years and now

:18:03. > :18:10.they want to push on. We are all in it together, we cannot wait to get

:18:10. > :18:15.started. Steve McClaren will meet the media is the new Derby manager

:18:15. > :18:22.at a press conference tomorrow. Natalie Jackson is at pride Park for

:18:22. > :18:26.us. What today it been. What a day and what a 48 hours. Nigel Clarke,

:18:26. > :18:33.sacked on Saturday night. Steve McClaren appointed as manager today.

:18:33. > :18:40.A move which has divided fans. After Saturday, there was a slight

:18:40. > :18:44.backlash. Some feeling that idle Clough has been harshly treated. He

:18:44. > :18:51.has had to have the wage bill. Others felt that it was time for a

:18:51. > :18:55.change. The club they want to get to the Premier League, they want to be

:18:55. > :19:01.in the top six. They felt that they needed to bring in a new man. Steve

:19:02. > :19:05.McClaren is that man. He will be in the stands here for the game with

:19:05. > :19:16.Ipswich tomorrow. He will see his new team. Darren wassail will be the

:19:16. > :19:28.caretaker coach. He will get a first look at his new side. Eric Steele,

:19:28. > :19:33.also a former reader there —— former Derby player, will also be part of

:19:33. > :19:37.the stuff. This story will rumble on. We will have more on our late

:19:37. > :19:44.bulletin. Thank you very much indeed. Derby

:19:44. > :19:49.were involved in a huge game on Saturday. The Nottingham Forest fans

:19:49. > :19:52.certainly won't forget as it was the Reds who came out on top in the East

:19:52. > :19:59.Midlands Derby. Kirsty Edwards looks back.

:19:59. > :20:03.This is not just a game. It is the only one that matters doing the

:20:03. > :20:12.season, the biggest game. I would love Derby to win. For these fans,

:20:12. > :20:16.this is the big one. We were so nervous, I couldn't sleep last

:20:16. > :20:23.night. Whoever wins will be walking a bit taller. Bragging rights and

:20:23. > :20:28.the Brian Clough Trophy at stake. Pressure high on both sides. It was

:20:28. > :20:35.forested started brighter, I great chance. Derby got themselves into it

:20:36. > :20:42.and had their chances as well. But the decisive moment came just before

:20:42. > :20:48.half—time. The Forest defender left in acres of space to head in his

:20:48. > :20:54.first for the club. There is no feeling like it. I felt like I was

:20:54. > :20:58.going to implode in euphoria. Forest's manager says his club could

:20:58. > :21:05.have won by more. Missed chances like this he was talking about. Then

:21:06. > :21:11.of course, there was the penalty. Up stepped Henderson, only to be

:21:11. > :21:22.thwarted by the impressive league rant. It led to an intense final few

:21:23. > :21:26.minutes. —— Lee Grant. I am delighted for our fans. We have

:21:26. > :21:31.enjoyed the bragging rights. That is what this game is all about.

:21:31. > :21:34.Regardless of the drama at Forest and Derby, it's Leicester City who

:21:34. > :21:38.remain top dogs in the East Midlands. A 2—1 win over Barnsley

:21:38. > :21:43.saw to that. They fully deserved it as well. Well

:21:43. > :21:47.on top, even at the point where Barnsley had a goal disallowed for

:21:47. > :21:52.offside. After the break the goals came for Leicester. The deadlock was

:21:52. > :22:05.broken in 50 minutes. It was his first goal of the season. This

:22:05. > :22:10.penalty meant the job was done, despite Barnsley producing a

:22:10. > :22:15.consolation goal. Look at some of the Leicester chances generated by

:22:15. > :22:18.their enormous share of possession. Definitely a team in form.

:22:18. > :22:21.Elsewhere Notts County suffered their seventh defeat of the season

:22:22. > :22:24.in League One. They got off to a good start at Carlisle with

:22:24. > :22:28.midfielder Callum McGregor giving them the lead. But they wasted a

:22:28. > :22:31.host of chances and were punished by two goals from the homeside. Notts

:22:31. > :22:34.are now second from bottom of the league.

:22:34. > :22:37.Mansfield Town are flying in League Two though and will have

:22:37. > :22:40.particularly enjoyed this win over big rivals Chesterfield. Calvin

:22:40. > :22:43.Andrew scored his first goal for the club. They're now unbeaten in their

:22:43. > :22:50.last eight matches and are third in the table. In rugby, Leicester

:22:50. > :22:56.Tigers took full advantage of what must have been Exeter's worst 40

:22:56. > :23:00.minutes for years to take a lead that they would never surrender. Not

:23:00. > :23:03.a bad warm up for the big home game with Saints on Saturday.

:23:03. > :23:06.Nottingham Panthers had a cracking weekend. League leaders Dundee

:23:06. > :23:10.slipped up last night and that meant Panthers' 3—2 win over Belfast was

:23:10. > :23:14.as crucial as it was dramatic. This is Belfast's late goal to make it

:23:14. > :23:20.2—2. But once the face—off is taken, the response from Panthers is

:23:20. > :23:23.unbelievably swift. They are pushed back for a while, but then

:23:23. > :23:29.Nottingham break at high speed and the end result is delivered with

:23:29. > :23:33.real and ash, as you will see. —— with real pan ash. 16 seconds of

:23:33. > :23:36.playing time from puck drop to game winner. You'll take that all day,

:23:36. > :23:41.every day. That is a very nice finish to the day.

:23:41. > :23:46.Indeed. It has certainly been very mild

:23:46. > :23:51.autumn, but Leicester charity is thinking ahead to the time when

:23:51. > :23:53.mercury plummets. It is asking people to donate winter coats to

:23:53. > :23:56.help the homeless and some of the county's most vulnerable families.

:23:56. > :23:59.Leicestershire Cares' Coat Drive will see warm clothing distributed

:23:59. > :24:13.via 14 different charities as Jonathan Cecil reports.

:24:13. > :24:19.Illness related to living in a cold home cost the NHS £1.6 billion a

:24:19. > :24:23.year. Thousands are dying every winter due to the cold. The charity

:24:23. > :24:26.Leicestershire Cares are urging people to donate winter coats to

:24:26. > :24:31.help the county's poorest and most vulnerable people of all ages. We

:24:31. > :24:34.need people to donate their courts because a court is the warmest thing

:24:34. > :24:38.you can have and it is really going to keep you snug over the winter. We

:24:39. > :24:43.are looking for people to donate coats, really we are looking for

:24:43. > :24:49.men's' courts, women's courts and children's courts. They hope to get

:24:49. > :24:54.2500, which will be distributed to 14 charities and community groups.

:24:54. > :24:58.We will have a lot of people coming into our sessions needing courts are

:24:58. > :25:01.clothes, and they can look pretty low actually, because they have got

:25:01. > :25:04.a lot of worries, they are wondering how they are going to afford things.

:25:04. > :25:08.It is nice at the end of the session, if you're able to give a

:25:08. > :25:14.court are clothes, and they go out smiling. One of the solutions, one

:25:14. > :25:18.of their needs, have been met. You can donate at either Tower Street in

:25:18. > :25:22.Leicester or St Mary's Road in market Harborough. There is a

:25:22. > :25:29.particular shortage in children's and small men's courts.

:25:29. > :25:36.As we were saying, it is very warm at the moment. Here is the weather.

:25:36. > :25:39.The weather has given September fine sendoff. Warm spells of sunshine

:25:39. > :25:43.around today. In the next few days we have a battle on our hands. In

:25:43. > :25:46.one corner we have high pressure that has been with us for a few

:25:46. > :25:51.days, in the other corner as swirling area of low pressure out in

:25:51. > :25:54.the Atlantic. The high pressure starts to wander off allowing these

:25:54. > :25:58.weather fronts to work their way in. But back to today, the cloud was

:25:58. > :26:03.with us first thing this morning, but it broke up very nicely

:26:03. > :26:07.particularly through eastern parts. Elsewhere, it did break up very

:26:07. > :26:11.nicely, we saw highs of 19 Celsius in Nottinghamshire. As we go into

:26:11. > :26:16.tonight, we will see prolonged, clear spells overnight. Cloud will

:26:16. > :26:20.start to creep injuring the early hours. It will be breezy, with

:26:20. > :26:25.overnight lows of 10 degrees in built—up areas. Item the

:26:25. > :26:29.countryside, they could dip down into single figures. Tomorrow will

:26:29. > :26:32.be similar, mainly dry, some cloud around, but decent spells of

:26:32. > :26:37.sunshine as well. Some places will wake up with brightness, clear skies

:26:37. > :26:41.overnight. It will be breezy and the cloud will come and go throughout

:26:41. > :26:45.the day. Some good sunshine and highs tomorrow of around 17 degrees.

:26:45. > :26:50.Things start to change as weather fronts start working during the

:26:50. > :26:54.middle of the week. It will be breezy at times, we will see some

:26:54. > :26:58.rain, but temperatures won't do too badly at all. The picture on

:26:58. > :27:01.Wednesday, the first weather front starting to creep into the East

:27:01. > :27:05.Midlands. It will have lost its momentum as it reaches us, becoming

:27:05. > :27:08.more patchy. But on Thursday we could see something a little

:27:08. > :27:12.heavier, heavy pulses of rain for a time. Ring started quite and don't

:27:12. > :27:24.last as we head towards the next weekend. —— things start to quiet

:27:24. > :27:25.down. I will see you with the
