:00:00. > :00:11.We will keep you updated on the Typhoon as it heads towards Vietnam

:00:12. > :00:19.Tonight: A sickening attack on a bouncer outside a city centre bar.

:00:20. > :00:23.CCTV shows for men attacking the dolmen with a metal pole, after they

:00:24. > :00:28.were refused entry. Also denied: The explainer of Andy

:00:29. > :00:34.Turner, burgled while at his mother 's funeral. There are some

:00:35. > :00:40.disgusting people out there that do things like this. I hate them.

:00:41. > :00:44.Plus the flu jab that could avert misery for you and paying for the

:00:45. > :00:49.NHS this winter. And in London before the great

:00:50. > :00:50.Fire. The stunning video that has one students from Leicester a top

:00:51. > :01:02.award. Good evening. Welcome to Friday

:01:03. > :01:05.night's programme and we start with a vicious assault on a doorman in

:01:06. > :01:10.Leicester. The 40`year`old victim has been left with serious head

:01:11. > :01:12.injuries. He was attacked by four men who'd been refused entry to a

:01:13. > :01:16.city centre bar. The police have now released CCTV

:01:17. > :01:20.footage of the incident to try to trace those responsible. Our

:01:21. > :01:28.reporter James Roberson joins us now from outside the Mobius Bar on

:01:29. > :01:36.Braunstone Gate. So James, what more can you tell us about this attack?

:01:37. > :01:41.Good evening. It was an evening somewhat like this, except what

:01:42. > :01:46.happened was considerably later. It all happened just across there,

:01:47. > :01:54.outside the bar, the side that main entrance. We are just south of the

:01:55. > :02:00.city centre. This is what the video that the police have released shows.

:02:01. > :02:06.The scene seems entirely, the first and the door staff are seen talking

:02:07. > :02:10.to a group of men who turn up outside the bar at midnight.

:02:11. > :02:14.Suddenly, when one of the staff will not let the men in, it turns ugly. A

:02:15. > :02:21.fight breaks out. One of the men picks up a heavy stand and wields

:02:22. > :02:29.its like a weapon. He hits the door supervisor and then strikes it over

:02:30. > :02:32.his head. The doormen goes down, he collapses backwards and then the

:02:33. > :02:41.other staff finally get the men to go away.

:02:42. > :02:45.How is the man who was attacked? He is 40 years old, has not been

:02:46. > :02:52.named but we understand he is now recovering from this very bad

:02:53. > :02:58.attack. The police have described the four men involved as of Middle

:02:59. > :03:01.Eastern appearance and they are asking anyone who might know them or

:03:02. > :03:05.who might have witnessed the attack, to contact Leicestershire

:03:06. > :03:15.police on the non`emergency number, 101.

:03:16. > :03:18.Police say they have another sighting of a missing mother who was

:03:19. > :03:21.last seen a week ago. Elizabeth Kinston left her home in Beeston

:03:22. > :03:24.last Friday morning. Just before midday she was recorded on CCTV

:03:25. > :03:27.going past a pub near Nottingham railway station. Shortly after that,

:03:28. > :03:36.she was spotted near the Castle Marina retail park outside the city

:03:37. > :03:40.centre. We have conducted an extensive CCTV surgeon who have a

:03:41. > :03:45.confirmed sighting of her at Queens drive, of Castle Bridge Road. She

:03:46. > :03:50.was wearing a distinctive pink top, which from the rear, you can see a

:03:51. > :03:57.black outline of the figure of a chicken. It's really significant.

:03:58. > :03:59.She was wearing dark blue jeans and knee`length brown boots.

:04:00. > :04:03.Detectives investigating the death of a Leicester football coach have

:04:04. > :04:07.made two more arrests. Antoin Akpom, who was 20, died after being stabbed

:04:08. > :04:12.in Kent Street in the city in September. Two men aged 59 and 49

:04:13. > :04:17.have been detained on suspicion of assisting an offender. They've been

:04:18. > :04:20.released on police bail. Two others have been charged with murder and

:04:21. > :04:22.will appear in court at a later date.

:04:23. > :04:26.Detectives investigating the death of a man in a fire at a derelict

:04:27. > :04:31.warehouse in Derby have released mobile phone footage. Jaroslaw

:04:32. > :04:35.Wieczorek was found dead in the former factory on Great Northern

:04:36. > :04:40.road a month ago. This film of the fire was captured before the

:04:41. > :04:44.emergency services arrived. Officers want to find a man who was seen

:04:45. > :04:52.sitting on steps behind the building between 11 and noon on the day of

:04:53. > :04:57.the fire. Still to come: in sport, almost sold

:04:58. > :05:01.out. The Foxes v Forest. It's the big local derby. We'll be

:05:02. > :05:03.talking to Forest defender and former Fox Jack Hobbs ` a man with a

:05:04. > :05:16.foot in both camps. The Olympic athlete Andy Turner has

:05:17. > :05:19.spoken of his devastation and disgust after burglars ransacked his

:05:20. > :05:24.family home while he was at his mother's funeral.

:05:25. > :05:27.The Nottinghamshire hurdler says he believes they deliberately targeted

:05:28. > :05:33.the house after he mentioned the funeral on social media. They took

:05:34. > :05:37.his car, phones and a laptop which contained the last photos he'd taken

:05:38. > :05:42.of his mum Yvonne when she was alive.

:05:43. > :05:51.Sarah Teale has been speaking to Andy at his home in Hucknall.

:05:52. > :05:54.Happier times together. This was athlete Andy Turner and his proud

:05:55. > :06:00.mother in the run`up to last year 's Olympics. Sadly, 58`year`old Yvonne

:06:01. > :06:05.died unexpectedly last week after a stroke. While the family attended

:06:06. > :06:11.her funeral, yesterday, fees burgled their Nottingham home. You just

:06:12. > :06:17.think that at that point, things cannot get any worse but then you

:06:18. > :06:20.realise, things can. There are some disgusting people out there that do

:06:21. > :06:26.things like this. I hate them, I hate them, I hate them. Andy, who is

:06:27. > :06:30.European and Commonwealth champion, believes he may have been

:06:31. > :06:35.deliberately targeted after posting details of the funeral on social

:06:36. > :06:39.media. You do something like that, you don't think about criminals

:06:40. > :06:45.thinking it is their chance to take something. For them to even think

:06:46. > :06:49.like that is just disgusting. If that was the cause, I don't put it `

:06:50. > :06:54.regret putting it on Twitter because people got a chance to pay their

:06:55. > :07:00.last respects to my mum. As forensic teams examined the windows, news

:07:01. > :07:04.came that a stolen car had been found abandoned. He says it is his

:07:05. > :07:09.phone and laptop which he went back because they store precious photos

:07:10. > :07:14.of his last moments with his mum. It is not a car that I was forced

:07:15. > :07:17.about. It is the memories. I cannot get those memories back. They were

:07:18. > :07:21.on the phone and my laptop. That is what hurts the most. It is the

:07:22. > :07:26.memories, I need to get the memories back.

:07:27. > :07:30.As you heard there Andy Turner fears the burglars may have known he was

:07:31. > :07:33.out because he'd used social media to talk about his mother's funeral.

:07:34. > :07:42.Joining us now is Darren Surgey from Nottinghamshire police. Darren, a

:07:43. > :07:50.hard lesson on just what we should putting on social media.

:07:51. > :07:55.It is something we need to be very careful of, with Facebook, Twitter,

:07:56. > :08:00.the list goes on. It is making sure that what we are putting on their

:08:01. > :08:04.only our friends can see. We are looking at locking down our security

:08:05. > :08:08.settings, making sure we're not putting anything on there that

:08:09. > :08:15.somebody could take advantage of, but in this case. How often do

:08:16. > :08:19.pergolas specifically target homes having read information like that?

:08:20. > :08:27.Or is it more likely to be opportunistic? About 20% of all our

:08:28. > :08:32.burglaries are few insecurities and it is down to an opportunist

:08:33. > :08:36.situation, a beginner will go down the street. They will see an open

:08:37. > :08:45.window, a door that is not locked, and they will take a chance. If they

:08:46. > :08:48.do see through a window, and at tablet or khakis, it's things like

:08:49. > :08:52.that. They are very good at what they do and what we have to do is be

:08:53. > :08:57.one step in front and make sure we take the necessary measures. We will

:08:58. > :09:01.leave it there for now but thanks very much.

:09:02. > :09:04.A drive to kick`start Nottingham's economy is creating thousands of

:09:05. > :09:07.jobs just a year after it was started. That's the claim of those

:09:08. > :09:11.behind the Nottingham Growth Plan. It's not all good news though. The

:09:12. > :09:15.review has also shown there's still a jobs gap and the poor performance

:09:16. > :09:24.of a shopping centre is fuelling the number of empty shops.

:09:25. > :09:29.The growth plan was unveiled in July last year. As one of the UK's core

:09:30. > :09:32.cities, Nottingham received ?60 million from the government to

:09:33. > :09:36.unleash enterprise across the city. Its achievements have been reviewed

:09:37. > :09:40.by the likes of this person, one of the founders of an information

:09:41. > :09:44.company, who was pleased with progress. Last year was a record

:09:45. > :09:50.year in terms of new business start`ups. The thing that still has

:09:51. > :09:55.to be done is unemployment, that's still a problem in the city.

:09:56. > :09:59.Therefore, tackling unemployment is one of the priorities that we have.

:10:00. > :10:03.Since the plan started, almost 800 jobs have been created, with the

:10:04. > :10:07.potential of at least another 8000, if projects are delivered. Although

:10:08. > :10:13.200 apprenticeships have been created, there are still jobs and

:10:14. > :10:16.skills gap. If we wanted to go back to where we were before the

:10:17. > :10:23.financial crisis, we need to create another 10,000 jobs. 21`year`old

:10:24. > :10:27.Matthew is one of the lucky ones. He has just landed an assistant chef 's

:10:28. > :10:33.job in a pub restaurant, after one years apprenticeship. I was socially

:10:34. > :10:39.withdrawn with people. I had been out of work. Then I found this. It

:10:40. > :10:44.has done wonders for my life. Are you more confident? Very much more

:10:45. > :10:47.confident now. The review has identified an 8% fall in city centre

:10:48. > :10:52.shop vacancies. That reduction would have more than doubled if the broad

:10:53. > :10:56.Marsh Centre was excluded. Broad Marsh is an issue which we have

:10:57. > :11:01.focused on within the growth board and we are taking steps to try to

:11:02. > :11:04.secure funding to deal with it. But it is going to be something we

:11:05. > :11:11.tackle over the next few years, rather than something we can do in

:11:12. > :11:16.12 months. The review says continued growth depends on promoting key

:11:17. > :11:20.sectors, digital content, life sciences and clean technology. The

:11:21. > :11:26.city also needs to develop a skilled workforce, deliver major transport

:11:27. > :11:31.infrastructure projects on time and provide free Wi`Fi access. There are

:11:32. > :11:34.still a lot of work to be done. The Deputy Prime Minister, on a

:11:35. > :11:37.visit to Nottinghamshire, has stressed the importance of doing

:11:38. > :11:41.business with Europe for East Midlands who want to grow.

:11:42. > :11:44.But Nick Clegg also condemned this week's budget and job cuts announced

:11:45. > :11:57.by the Labour`run Nottinghamshire county council.

:11:58. > :12:02.Nick Clegg was visiting a company which makes yarn for car seats and

:12:03. > :12:07.exports most of it to Europe. It was county council job cuts that span

:12:08. > :12:11.the Deputy Prime Minister into this attack. It is hypocritical of Labour

:12:12. > :12:15.councillors in the Nottinghamshire county council which they now run,

:12:16. > :12:19.where they pay themselves or in summary than almost any other county

:12:20. > :12:23.council anywhere in the country, that they should be inflicting cuts

:12:24. > :12:28.on the ordinary people and working families of Nottinghamshire, rather

:12:29. > :12:32.than taking an axe to some of their pay and perks which they have in

:12:33. > :12:36.County Hall. Labour responded tonight, saying they had frozen

:12:37. > :12:39.allowances for the first year in a row. The Lib Dem 0

:12:40. > :12:44.allowances for the first year in a row. The Lib Dem leader was also

:12:45. > :12:49.fired up by attempts to force an early EU referendum. The issue

:12:50. > :12:53.matters for the boss of this firm. We are concerned that if we were to

:12:54. > :12:55.come out of the EU, we would have to reset relationships with the markets

:12:56. > :13:01.in which we are selling, which we think would be detrimental to our

:13:02. > :13:04.business. 95% of what is manufactured here is exported

:13:05. > :13:07.directly to the single market. If we are yanked out of that because of

:13:08. > :13:15.political extremism, this part of the world would be much poorer off.

:13:16. > :13:24.Nick Clegg says at stake is the future of manufacturing.

:13:25. > :13:28.A council leader, planning to cut 800 jobs, joins us to explain why

:13:29. > :13:32.they have to go. It is when you run since they were elected but do you

:13:33. > :13:36.know who your police and crime commission is and what difference

:13:37. > :13:47.have they made? We will be carrying out enquiries of our own. Join me

:13:48. > :13:49.from 12:25pm, this Sunday. Health officials say they're

:13:50. > :13:53.concerned many thousands of people still haven't taken up the offer of

:13:54. > :13:55.a flu jab before the winter really sets in.

:13:56. > :13:59.The NHS says the vaccinations not only save lives but can also ease

:14:00. > :14:01.some of the pressure on stretched hospitals and doctors through the

:14:02. > :14:09.colder months. Our Health Correspondent Rob Sissons is here.

:14:10. > :14:13.Rob, who can get the jabs this year? An incredible number of people these

:14:14. > :14:14.days, over 1 million people are entitled to it on the NHS. Let's

:14:15. > :14:34.take a quick look. In Leicestershire, there is an

:14:35. > :14:36.experiment going on, a pilot scheme, involving four to

:14:37. > :14:41.ten`year`olds with a nasal spray. Quite a long list.

:14:42. > :14:48.How is the campaign going this year? It's early days. After a slow start,

:14:49. > :14:52.it's picking up. They are about halfway through the campaign. I

:14:53. > :14:59.popped into a surgery today at Arnold in Nottinghamshire. This is

:15:00. > :15:04.the Highcroft surgery. The vaccination campaign is gathering

:15:05. > :15:10.pace. Over 2000 people here have been injected. It's getting those

:15:11. > :15:14.people who are reluctant to come through the surgery port ` door

:15:15. > :15:21.which is important. It's about being bothered to come down and do it. It

:15:22. > :15:25.doesn't hurt. I've only had it once. Very bad, high temperatures and

:15:26. > :15:29.hallucinations at night. You don't want to wait until the flu season is

:15:30. > :15:32.in full swing to get your job because it does take a couple of

:15:33. > :15:36.weeks for the job to begin to work. Last year, they were under 800

:15:37. > :15:47.people who ended up in intensive care with flu related illnesses. Flu

:15:48. > :15:52.hasn't taken off yet but pressure on our hospitals increasing?

:15:53. > :15:57.In a war of words this week just dash over how well our hospitals can

:15:58. > :16:01.cope, they say October was really busy, along with hospitals in Derby,

:16:02. > :16:04.Leicestershire and Lincoln. They have been struggling to hit their

:16:05. > :16:14.four`hour wait. We hope that it doesn't hurt us too

:16:15. > :16:17.hard. Students from De Montfort University

:16:18. > :16:20.in Leicester have won a top video game award. Their recreation of

:16:21. > :16:22.Tudor London was inspired by the British Library's historic map

:16:23. > :16:26.collection. Judges said it was so accurate it

:16:27. > :16:27.wouldn't look out of place in a Hollywood studio production. Have a

:16:28. > :16:51.look for yourself. London in the 17th century. Set in

:16:52. > :16:57.and around the streets and lanes where the great Fire of London broke

:16:58. > :17:01.out. Created by a team of university students, the realism and attention

:17:02. > :17:06.to detail is so impressive, they've won a top video gaming award. We

:17:07. > :17:11.were quite surprised. The quality of the work the other teams produced

:17:12. > :17:15.was amazing. When they announced we were the winners, it was a big

:17:16. > :17:20.shock. We put an extreme amount of effort in. The whole team are

:17:21. > :17:25.incredible hard workers. We are very proud. The competition was inspired

:17:26. > :17:31.by the British library 's historic map collection. But the students got

:17:32. > :17:36.inspiration from elsewhere as well. There are many historical

:17:37. > :17:44.references, but no tips plea Samuel Pepys diary. He gave names of

:17:45. > :17:48.streets and pubs. It took 14 weeks to create and is even being used in

:17:49. > :17:51.school history lessons. One of the issues is there tends to be a

:17:52. > :17:57.separation between arts and sciences in the UK, which is regrettable.

:17:58. > :18:02.What we tried to do is heal that devised to our students are

:18:03. > :18:04.technical and also artistic. You can get compelling visual experiences

:18:05. > :18:08.when he put the two together. The students are in the final year and

:18:09. > :18:19.they are hoping the award will lead to one thing in particular... Jobs!

:18:20. > :18:28.Jobs at the end of the day. That looks really brilliant.

:18:29. > :18:30.Still to come: the weather. And if you're attending a

:18:31. > :18:32.Remembrance Sunday event this weekend ` there's some better news

:18:33. > :18:36.from Kaye. We have got some cold, crisp autumn

:18:37. > :18:38.sunshine this weekend but there has to be reined in there somewhere. All

:18:39. > :18:57.the details coming up later. The sport. It is on the verge of a

:18:58. > :19:00.sell`out. Over 30,000 fans will be inside the King Power Stadium

:19:01. > :19:04.tomorrow for an all East Midlands affair. Leicester City versus

:19:05. > :19:08.Nottingham Forest. Leicester, second. Forest, sixth. This is what

:19:09. > :19:18.the clubs two managers have to say about the game. This one comes at a

:19:19. > :19:22.very important time for both sides. We have been on a pretty good run of

:19:23. > :19:29.late and are glad to continue that. I am sure Nottingham Forest will be

:19:30. > :19:32.looking to apply some pressure. It's an important three points and we are

:19:33. > :19:38.all excited and looking forward to it. As I've said before, it is the

:19:39. > :19:41.next game in the fixture list. We look forward to the game.

:19:42. > :19:46.Leicester are the in`form team in the Championship. City are in a hot

:19:47. > :19:50.streak at home. They have won eight in a row at the King Power Stadium

:19:51. > :19:54.and have only dropped two points out of a possible 21 there. Natalie has

:19:55. > :20:01.been in the Leicester camp this week.

:20:02. > :20:06.Ahead of this match, they have likened the atmosphere down here to

:20:07. > :20:10.the spirit at the training ground during the O'Neill days. Leicester

:20:11. > :20:17.are favourites to win this one, after their best start to the season

:20:18. > :20:20.in 129 years. And a win could put Nigel Pearson 's team at the top of

:20:21. > :20:30.the championship tomorrow will stop because of that and the parallels

:20:31. > :20:37.between the two teams, there has been extra interest this week. Both

:20:38. > :20:42.clubs get massive gates and it is a massive game for everyone. Last

:20:43. > :20:46.season 's epic game at the city ground saw Leicester win. It allowed

:20:47. > :20:56.them to stick into the play`offs in dramatic fashion, at Forest's

:20:57. > :21:03.expense. It was the 93rd minute and I looked up. I just managed to get

:21:04. > :21:09.the ball at my feet and I passed it through. He did the rest. It was a

:21:10. > :21:14.great feeling. For a Leicester player, it was one of the highlights

:21:15. > :21:18.of my career. I can probably speak for everyone who was on the field

:21:19. > :21:25.and it was a fantastic day. I'm sure they will come to do a job on us.

:21:26. > :21:29.Leicester City nine poorer `9 points above capital at a forest in the

:21:30. > :21:32.table. So, that's the view at Leicester,

:21:33. > :21:42.how are they feeling ahead of the big kick off at Forest. Well, one of

:21:43. > :21:45.their players has a foot firmly in both camps. Angela met up with

:21:46. > :21:50.defender Jack Hobbs. No need to mug up on this week 's

:21:51. > :21:55.opposition. Jack Hobbs spent three years at the Foxes. I felt like I

:21:56. > :22:02.really came on as a player. I did enjoy it. That was if you years ago

:22:03. > :22:05.now and now I'm in Nottingham Forest colours. I'm looking forward to try

:22:06. > :22:11.to pick of the three points on Saturday. So, now firmly on the red

:22:12. > :22:19.side of the a 46, he is relishing the prospect of returning to the

:22:20. > :22:26.stadium. I've learned a lot of Nigel being a centre half. I'm learning

:22:27. > :22:31.more. While they are flying, Forest's form has wobbled of late.

:22:32. > :22:36.We feel like we could be a lot higher. Some things have gone

:22:37. > :22:39.against us. Sometimes you've only got ourselves to blame. Fighting

:22:40. > :22:45.hard for his new team on once familiar territory, he will be going

:22:46. > :22:48.out to prove that he was the lad. Hopefully we get the three points

:22:49. > :22:51.and come away happy. Leicester and Forest won't be the

:22:52. > :22:55.only teams playing before a big crowd. Derby County expect over

:22:56. > :22:58.26,000 at Pride Park for their game against Sheffield Wednesday. We did

:22:59. > :23:01.our big feature with young star Mason Bennett here yesterday. You

:23:09. > :23:12.Notts County's new boss says he feels for his players after years of

:23:13. > :23:15.uncertainty at the club. It's 48 hours since Shaun Derry became the

:23:16. > :23:18.eighth manager in four years at Meadow Lane and today he was doing

:23:19. > :23:21.his first formal pre`match press call before leading the team into

:23:22. > :23:29.the FA Cup first round at Hartlepool. When new managers come

:23:30. > :23:33.through the door, a lot of players are wary and worried about the

:23:34. > :23:37.future. I understand that. I've had a lot of managers in my career. I

:23:38. > :23:41.fully understand where the players are coming from. I think it is up to

:23:42. > :23:54.me and up to grade to set a standard for them to follow. If I can give

:23:55. > :24:00.them that, I believe in them. Confirmation of that game. Good luck

:24:01. > :24:03.to Alfreton. They play Wrexham. Leicester Tigers are in LV Cup

:24:04. > :24:07.action tonight at home to Ospreys but they have yet another injury to

:24:08. > :24:10.contend with. Scrum Half Ben Youngs has picked up a hip injury while on

:24:11. > :24:14.international duty. That means 26 out of Tigers 41 strong squad have

:24:15. > :24:29.been injured at some point this season.

:24:30. > :24:33.At the start of the week, as part of our Made in Leicester series, we

:24:34. > :24:36.asked you to send us photo's that sum up culture in Leicester and

:24:37. > :24:38.Leicestershire. Thanks to everyone who took the time to send their

:24:39. > :24:52.pictures in. Here's a selection. A rainbow of people... Different

:24:53. > :25:39.cultures... Made in Leicester... Well, how lovely were they?

:25:40. > :25:47.Very varied as well. Absolutely super!

:25:48. > :25:52.Some magnificent weather on the way for the weekend, some gorgeous

:25:53. > :25:57.sunshine but I will start with an appeal of my own. We've not had many

:25:58. > :26:04.of your weather pictures sent in recently. Get snapping and send them

:26:05. > :26:08.in. We will try and show a few of them on the weather slot. There have

:26:09. > :26:12.been scenes like this and there will be frosty seems this weekend. It

:26:13. > :26:15.will be a cold weekend. They will be showers around on Saturday but by

:26:16. > :26:23.Sunday, we will be having one of those cold, crisp autumn Sundays.

:26:24. > :26:27.Good news for remembrance service is taking place. Not quite as nice

:26:28. > :26:31.today. It has been pretty dismal. This rain has moved further north

:26:32. > :26:35.than we've been hoping for today. It is starting to pull away to the east

:26:36. > :26:39.now. We are drying up once again tonight and the skies are starting

:26:40. > :26:42.to clear right behind that as well. It is dry, clear and look at the

:26:43. > :26:54.temperatures, they are starting to take a tumble. It is a cold start

:26:55. > :26:57.and a bright start for many of us. You will have to be quick and

:26:58. > :27:08.ability to appreciate that. The code will start to thicken and... It

:27:09. > :27:14.should start to clear later in the day. Behind that, we should see

:27:15. > :27:20.something drier and brighter. Feeling very cold, six or seven

:27:21. > :27:23.degrees our top temperature. We are going into a cold started a night.

:27:24. > :27:27.Another ridge of high pressure moving in. This is going to be with

:27:28. > :27:31.us too much of Sunday. Another cold and frosty start to Sunday.

:27:32. > :27:32.Beautiful sunshine for much of the day. Perhaps a little bit more

:27:33. > :27:45.cloud. It is always very nice when

:27:46. > :27:49.Remembrance Sunday is crisp and sunny. Goodbye for now.
