:00:00. > :00:00.suitable chairman of the Co-op. That is all from the BBC News at

:00:00. > :00:07.This is East Midlands Today with Dominic Heale and me, Anne Davies.

:00:08. > :00:17.Tonight, tragedy hits a Derbyshire village as two women and two boys

:00:18. > :00:21.die in a housefire. The fire broke out in the early hours in a terraced

:00:22. > :00:23.house here in the village of North Wingfield. 0

:00:24. > :00:28.house here in the village of North Wingfield. A seven`year`old girl

:00:29. > :00:36.survived. Plus, grey skies over Leicester as

:00:37. > :00:42.Hull become UK City of Culture. Plus the moment police interrupted

:00:43. > :00:43.an intruder. And the council tenants being given a sporting chance to get

:00:44. > :00:56.more active. Good evening and welcome to the

:00:57. > :00:59.programme. First tonight, police are investigating the deaths of two

:01:00. > :01:04.women and two boys who were killed in a fire at a house in Derbyshire.

:01:05. > :01:07.A third child, a seven`year`old girl, is in hospital.

:01:08. > :01:10.Firefighters were called to the property in the village of North

:01:11. > :01:14.Wingfield, near Clay Cross just after 5am this morning, after a

:01:15. > :01:18.neighbour raised the alarm. Our reporter Simon Hare is there for us

:01:19. > :01:25.tonight. Simon, what more can you tell us?

:01:26. > :01:32.Well, we now know of course that for people died in the housefire here

:01:33. > :01:37.behind me just over 12 hours ago, two adults, two children, and an

:01:38. > :01:44.investigation into what caused it is underway. The latest is that it is

:01:45. > :01:46.not thought to be suspicious, but the police and fire service work

:01:47. > :01:52.goes on. Some good news from this whole incident, one child, a

:01:53. > :01:58.seven`year`old girl, somehow got out of the fire alive.

:01:59. > :02:02.From the outside, it is hard to tell there has even been fired here. And

:02:03. > :02:12.a fire that proved to be so deadly. For lives lost, two women and two

:02:13. > :02:19.boys `` four. Our firefighters battled the conditions, four rescues

:02:20. > :02:25.were carried out. Unfortunately those rescues did not avail and all

:02:26. > :02:32.four perished. We can also confirm that a seven`year`old girl survived

:02:33. > :02:38.the fire and has minor injuries. Consistent with smoke inhalation. A

:02:39. > :02:41.joint police and fire service investigation into what caused the

:02:42. > :02:52.fire is under way. This normally busy a road between the town and the

:02:53. > :02:57.Aone is closed. We didn't know about a fire until one of the neighbours

:02:58. > :03:03.told me. There must been about five police cars, a fire engine, it is

:03:04. > :03:12.just surreal. It is yards away from my house. Shocking. You have to feel

:03:13. > :03:15.for people. It is a tragic event, the impact on the community is

:03:16. > :03:18.recognised, and together we are working through that with the

:03:19. > :03:23.family. Specially trained officers are working with the family to take

:03:24. > :03:26.this forward. As soon as we have anything more to tell you, we are

:03:27. > :03:32.happy to do so, at the moment that is as far as I can tell you. Some

:03:33. > :03:35.family members came to the scene to see it for themselves.

:03:36. > :03:43.Understandably, too upset to talk to the media. A sense of greed `` grief

:03:44. > :03:50.and shock shared by this community. Any word on identity this evening?

:03:51. > :03:54.They are starting to be named amongst the local community and on

:03:55. > :03:57.social media, as you might expect. But the police tell us they are not

:03:58. > :04:03.confident yet that they have informed all members of close family

:04:04. > :04:09.members, next of kin, so it would be inappropriate for me to share those

:04:10. > :04:12.names. We do believe that it is a woman who had this house, her

:04:13. > :04:17.daughter is the one who survived, and a friend of hers who was staying

:04:18. > :04:20.with her and her two sons who have also died. We are still awaiting

:04:21. > :04:25.more confirmation from the police tonight. Thank you very much.

:04:26. > :04:29.An hour long rampage was brought to an end by police marksmen who shot a

:04:30. > :04:31.man with a taser after he'd attacked the home of a disabled woman.The

:04:32. > :04:33.final 0 the home of a disabled woman.The

:04:34. > :04:35.final few minutes were recorded by CCTV as 28`year`old Jamie Swann

:04:36. > :04:43.taunted officers and damaged Jane Green's car. She told East Midlands

:04:44. > :04:53.Today reporter James Roberson that she was still traumatised.

:04:54. > :04:57.Jane Green's disabled, with severe back and lung problems. She uses

:04:58. > :05:03.CCTV to keep a close eye on her home, and on the car she needs to

:05:04. > :05:08.get around. One night last month, she was terrified to be awoken by a

:05:09. > :05:14.huge noise outside. I CCTV monitor revealed a man attacking her car. He

:05:15. > :05:20.was 28`year`old Jamie Swann. I spent the next `` he spent the next ten

:05:21. > :05:26.minutes or so taunting the police and smashing up my car. Jamie Swann

:05:27. > :05:33.confronted the police when they arrived, eventually the teaser Tim

:05:34. > :05:37.and he was finally subdued. I thought he was trying to break into

:05:38. > :05:41.my house. I am disabled and I was struggling with all sorts of things,

:05:42. > :05:46.but I thought he was trying to get into the house. He did damage the

:05:47. > :05:50.back door. The damage to the car was covered by insurance, but he also

:05:51. > :05:55.ripped pipes off the outside wall. She has not received compensation

:05:56. > :06:00.because Jamie Swann was not ordered to pay any. He was jailed for 22

:06:01. > :06:05.months. The biggest worry for Jane is how the episode has left her. The

:06:06. > :06:10.first few weeks I could not sleep at all. My CCTV monitor is in my

:06:11. > :06:13.bedroom, every little noise I was waiting for something to happen and

:06:14. > :06:20.looking at the monitor. I am still very frightened. Now she reminds

:06:21. > :06:25.passers`by she does have CCTV, and is reassured to see police

:06:26. > :06:29.patrolling her street. Still to come: A look back at the

:06:30. > :06:31.career of the Nottingham broadcaster and writer Ray Gosling, whose death

:06:32. > :06:33.was 0 and writer Ray Gosling, whose death

:06:34. > :06:41.was announced today. And Anna will be here with the

:06:42. > :06:46.latest word on the weather. Yes, the weather has taken us on a real

:06:47. > :06:53.adventure, we have had it all. Some, hail, wind and even some snow. The

:06:54. > :06:59.adventure is set to continue. I will have more details are little later.

:07:00. > :07:02.But first, there's been major disappointment in Leicester after it

:07:03. > :07:08.missed out on becoming the next UK City of Culture.

:07:09. > :07:12.After all the hard work and cash expended on the bid, it was

:07:13. > :07:16.announced that Hull will receive the title in 2017. Our arts reporter

:07:17. > :07:23.Geeta Pendse has been closely following the ups and downs of

:07:24. > :07:28.Leicester's bid. Hopeful looks this morning as

:07:29. > :07:35.supporters gathered at Leicester's Theatre. Then the moment arrived. I

:07:36. > :07:42.am delighted to announce that the UK City of Culture 2017 is Hull. After

:07:43. > :07:48.months of planning, for many it was hard news to swallow. Very

:07:49. > :07:51.disappointed. I think it has been an enormous journey to get to this

:07:52. > :07:58.point and it is a real shame that we have not won. They were not the

:07:59. > :08:04.words we wanted to hear. Crushed? I thought we were going to win. Of

:08:05. > :08:09.course it was a different story for Hull who received a unanimous yes.

:08:10. > :08:15.Impressed by a theme based on a city coming out of the shadows. It was a

:08:16. > :08:22.city that was hungry, desperate to come out the negative perception.

:08:23. > :08:26.They used phrases like they wanted to find their place in the UK and

:08:27. > :08:31.come out of the shadows. A big part of the bid was to realise

:08:32. > :08:38.the potential of Leicester, 's cultural infrastructure. It was

:08:39. > :08:44.hoped that having the title would stimulate interest in this area. Of

:08:45. > :08:46.course, that challenged all remains. The Mayor of Leicester say some

:08:47. > :08:51.events will still take place, without the culture title,

:08:52. > :08:56.attracting funding outside of the city council will be difficult.

:08:57. > :09:00.Obviously today we dust ourselves off a bit, it is not going to be

:09:01. > :09:05.lost. There is a determination to show them but we do not need the

:09:06. > :09:12.title of city of culture. We can do it anyway. Bigger, better, and we

:09:13. > :09:17.don't need to wait until 2017. A few events on the horizon, but tonight

:09:18. > :09:24.the lights are out on Leicester's hoped to be the next UK City of

:09:25. > :09:27.Culture. Still lots of culture there, and a

:09:28. > :09:29.fabulous place to go. A teenage bomb`maker from

:09:30. > :09:33.Loughborough is facing a re`trial, after a jury failed to decide if he

:09:34. > :09:35.was preparing a terrorist attack. The 17`year`old admitted possessing

:09:36. > :09:40.explosives, and the trial heard that he wrote plans for a massacre at his

:09:41. > :09:43.old school. Our Social Affairs Correspondent, Jeremy Ball, has been

:09:44. > :09:51.following the case, and joins us from Leicester. Good evening, what

:09:52. > :09:54.happened today? Well, the jury's been considering

:09:55. > :10:00.two separate terrorism charges. Preparing an attack and possessing a

:10:01. > :10:04.poison manual. But the jury hasn't been able to decide whether he is

:10:05. > :10:07.guilty or not. Yesterday the judge said he was prepared to take a

:10:08. > :10:14.majority verdict. This afternoon there was still no agreement. So the

:10:15. > :10:17.jury's been discharged. It means there'll be another hearing to

:10:18. > :10:20.decide what happens next. Prosecutors say they'll ask for a

:10:21. > :10:24.retrial next year. By that stage, the teenager will have turned 18, so

:10:25. > :10:27.we'll be allowed to identify him. This trial's been going on for a

:10:28. > :10:33.month. What do we know now about what happened? A lot of it is not

:10:34. > :10:37.disputed. He admitted three explosives offences, building pipe

:10:38. > :10:41.bombs and improvised explosive devices, and testing petrol bombs as

:10:42. > :10:44.well. The trial also heard that he had a crossbow and a large

:10:45. > :10:48.collection of guns and knives. The jury had to decide about whether he

:10:49. > :10:53.was serious about using those weapons for an attack. It all boiled

:10:54. > :10:57.down to a series of notes he had written about what he called the new

:10:58. > :11:04.Columbine. What does those notes say? They set out details that were

:11:05. > :11:09.based on the Columbine high school massacre in the states. That

:11:10. > :11:13.involved the murder of 12 pupils, and one of their teachers, back in

:11:14. > :11:17.1999. The teenager had written about how to carry out a similar attack at

:11:18. > :11:21.his own old school in Loughborough. He had also written a list of

:11:22. > :11:28.potential targets, including Loughborough mosque. He had also

:11:29. > :11:32.named the local council and the local cinema. What is disputed is

:11:33. > :11:38.whether these were genuine plans or whether, as the defence put it, they

:11:39. > :11:42.were simply jottings to help them cope with years of persistent

:11:43. > :11:50.bullying. A new jury has to make up their minds about this. Thank you

:11:51. > :11:53.very much. Mountain rescue teams are searching

:11:54. > :11:55.for a senior Derbyshire police officer who's gone missing.

:11:56. > :11:58.48`year`old Chief Inspector Tim Frohwein was last seen on Sunday

:11:59. > :12:02.afternoon. He's recovering from knee surgery and it's believed he was out

:12:03. > :12:05.walking. He was wearing a long dark coat, blue shirt and brown jeans.

:12:06. > :12:08.Water search teams and specialist police dogs have been scouring dense

:12:09. > :12:12.woodland close to his Buxton home. ?27 million is to be spent

:12:13. > :12:14.rebuilding a Nottingham college. New College Nottingham's Basford Hall

:12:15. > :12:19.site was saved from closure six years ago. Thanks to loans and

:12:20. > :12:21.Government cash, the new centre will have facilities for training

:12:22. > :12:31.students in construction, science and technology. Work will start next

:12:32. > :12:37.spring and should take 18 months. You're watching East Midlands Today

:12:38. > :12:40.on the BBC, and the broadcaster and writer Ray Gosling has died in

:12:41. > :12:43.hospital in Nottingham. He was 74. He made hundreds of films and radio

:12:44. > :12:46.programmes for both the BBC and Granada. His career ended

:12:47. > :12:48.controversially while filming for BBC Inside Out.

:12:49. > :12:56.Tony Roe, who worked with him, has been looking back at his career.

:12:57. > :13:02.The East Midlands is my country. Leicester and Nottingham, the two

:13:03. > :13:10.towns I have grown around. I go home to them. From the early 60s until

:13:11. > :13:12.his enforced retirement, Ray Gosling made TV and radio programmes about

:13:13. > :13:23.the people and places he was fond of. It was worth taking part in

:13:24. > :13:30.life. Freely. Properly. With spirit. Not just letting people,

:13:31. > :13:36.authorities, do whatever they wanted to do. He wrote like he spoke,

:13:37. > :13:45.direct. He said what he thought, and he listened. I said, he's gone.

:13:46. > :13:50.Nothing more was ever said. In 2010, his TV career ended when he

:13:51. > :13:55.confessed to taking the life of a gay friend who was dying from AIDS

:13:56. > :14:02.in hospital. A false claim, he convinced himself, for whatever

:14:03. > :14:06.reason, was true. He thought everybody would not be bothered

:14:07. > :14:10.about that. We have got to forget about that, remember his talent. For

:14:11. > :14:15.decades, he came out with stunning interviews at a level most of us

:14:16. > :14:22.were not capable of. Why don't you throw in the towel? That is not a

:14:23. > :14:29.nice thing to say. He was writing not a biography he never finished.

:14:30. > :14:35.He missed doing the telly. I'm glad I never went to London. I have done

:14:36. > :14:38.so much in Nottingham. And you can hear Ray's last interview with John

:14:39. > :14:45.Holmes on Radio Nottingham this Sunday at 11am. That's on 103.8FM.

:14:46. > :14:47.A firm that helps to set up apprenticeships is to create 100

:14:48. > :14:50.jobs after getting a ?1.75 million loan from a fund backed by the

:14:51. > :14:56.taxpayer and wealthy business people.

:14:57. > :15:00.But, and there is a but, to qualify for the cash, the company will have

:15:01. > :15:03.to leave its base in Derbyshire and move over the county border into

:15:04. > :15:14.Nottinghamshire. Mike O'Sullivan reports.

:15:15. > :15:18.Just 20, the operations manager at this business in Mansfield. He

:15:19. > :15:24.started as an apprentice. It is the best thing I have ever done. When I

:15:25. > :15:32.was at college I was up and down, up and down. I got this job on a

:15:33. > :15:35.website. This is the training provider that helped deliver his

:15:36. > :15:44.apprenticeship. They have now been given a ?1.75 million loan to expand

:15:45. > :15:47.and create 100 jobs. The country `` company is based here in Derbyshire,

:15:48. > :15:50.right on the border with Nottinghamshire. But the business is

:15:51. > :15:55.going to have to move into Nottinghamshire to get a postcode so

:15:56. > :16:01.it can qualify for this huge loan. It is a requirement. We need to

:16:02. > :16:05.relocate to Nottingham or the Nottinghamshire area. This will not

:16:06. > :16:12.be an issue for us. We do need larger premises. The loan is coming

:16:13. > :16:17.from a company which has ?40 million to help businesses. The

:16:18. > :16:20.government's British business bank and the Nottinghamshire local

:16:21. > :16:24.government pension scheme are involved. So are three leading

:16:25. > :16:35.businessmen with Nottingham connections. The company announced

:16:36. > :16:40.its arrival last night. It is also backed by a big investment company.

:16:41. > :16:46.We are interested in backing companies that will be here in five,

:16:47. > :16:52.20, 50 years time. Baxter there alone, positive outcomes say they

:16:53. > :16:56.will be able to set up thousands more apprenticeships `` thanks to

:16:57. > :17:00.their loan. Still to come: The Ashes start at

:17:01. > :17:03.midnight our time, and already the atmosphere's a little lively.

:17:04. > :17:06.Nottinghamshire's Stuart Broad is far from flavour of the month with

:17:07. > :17:18.some sections of the Australian media. Find out why later.

:17:19. > :17:22.A council has set itself the target of getting 10% of its tenants

:17:23. > :17:29.involved in physical or sporting activity over the next three years.

:17:30. > :17:32.The project has been backed with a grant from Sport England which has

:17:33. > :17:37.also awarded a further ?2 million towards the redevelopment of one of

:17:38. > :17:44.Nottingham's sports centres. Quentin Rayner reports.

:17:45. > :17:47.You are looking at where the deep end of Nottingham's first 50 metre

:17:48. > :17:54.Olympic sized swimming pool is going to be. But on a smaller scale, at

:17:55. > :17:59.this community centre, a big idea is also taking shape. The city council

:18:00. > :18:02.wants to encourage its tenants, particularly in areas of

:18:03. > :18:06.deprivation, to use community centres and public spaces for a

:18:07. > :18:12.minimum of 30 minutes a week of sporting and physical activity.

:18:13. > :18:16.Professional coaches will train local volunteers to teach various

:18:17. > :18:20.sports to the tenants. A lot of people tend to relax at home and use

:18:21. > :18:25.the telly too much. This is a good idea to get them out, and they enjoy

:18:26. > :18:28.themselves. If this was around when I was at school I might have

:18:29. > :18:34.continued in sport and not let it die off. We have about 55,000 people

:18:35. > :18:37.living in our properties within the city. The aim is to try and get 10%

:18:38. > :18:49.of those engaged in sporting activities. The scheme has been

:18:50. > :18:52.backed by Sport England. We are bringing the sport other people

:18:53. > :18:57.today, allowing them the opportunity to take part in sport on their

:18:58. > :19:03.doorstep. Major redevelopment is already well underway. But Sport

:19:04. > :19:07.England has put in an extra ?2 million. Another lane can now be

:19:08. > :19:11.added to the athletics track, and a playing field converted into a

:19:12. > :19:16.cycling circuit. This redevelopment marks the final part of a policy to

:19:17. > :19:23.create fewer, but better quality leisure facilities, across the city.

:19:24. > :19:27.It will reopen in 2015. The community scheme is already up and

:19:28. > :19:33.running. Brilliant. Still on the subject of

:19:34. > :19:36.physical exercise, we can bring you these pictures of an athlete who's

:19:37. > :19:39.overcome quite a few hurdles to reach peak physical form.

:19:40. > :19:46.This is Lavender the sheep from Ellastone near Ashbourne, who

:19:47. > :19:49.certainly has a spring in her step. In fact she's an accomplished woolly

:19:50. > :19:52.jumper. Especially over hurdles. If she completes the official course

:19:53. > :19:58.she could soon hold the world record for "The Fastest Ten` Obstacle

:19:59. > :20:02.Course Completed By A Sheep." There is nothing to say after that,

:20:03. > :20:11.is there? Apart from, here is the real sport.

:20:12. > :20:14.We start with cricket, and the Ashes Down Under starts at midnight with

:20:15. > :20:17.Nottinghamshire's Stuart Broad in the firing line. An Australian

:20:18. > :20:20.newspaper has begun its coverage by banning Broad's name. They say it's

:20:21. > :20:24.because of Stuart's refusal to walk after being caught out in the Ashes

:20:25. > :20:31.Test at Trent Bridge in the summer. Well, Joe Wilson is in Brisbane for

:20:32. > :20:35.us and has sent us this. At some point during the first test

:20:36. > :20:37.match here in Brisbane, it might happen in the first few minutes,

:20:38. > :20:42.Stuart Broad will find himself fielding on the boundary, and he

:20:43. > :20:46.might want to close his ears. He knows he is going to get fearful

:20:47. > :20:54.abuse from the crowd here. He has been described in the Australian

:20:55. > :21:00.media as Stuart Broad `` fraud. When I was speaking to David Warner

:21:01. > :21:06.here, he said, Stewart has a sense of humour about this. However,

:21:07. > :21:10.Alistair Cook has been very clear today that he wants Stuart Broad to

:21:11. > :21:15.be an in`your`face, combative cricketer. He thinks he can be

:21:16. > :21:21.England's game changer during this Test match, just as he was in

:21:22. > :21:26.Durham. I wonder if this Test match can possibly be as memorable as the

:21:27. > :21:30.one at Trent Bridge? If so, we're in a fun five days.

:21:31. > :21:32.We are indeed, and we will be mentioning the Broad name a lot

:21:33. > :21:43.throughout this series hopefully. Meanwhile, Australian batsmen has

:21:44. > :21:46.signed for Nottinghamshire. Onto speedway, and good news for the

:21:47. > :21:49.Leicester Lions. They will fulfil their ambition next year of racing

:21:50. > :21:53.in the Elite League. The club's application to join the top tier has

:21:54. > :21:55.been granted by the British Speedway Promoters' Association. The Lions

:21:56. > :22:00.have operated in the Premier League, the middle tier of the sport, since

:22:01. > :22:04.returning to speedway in 2011. But they will now become part of a

:22:05. > :22:18.10`club structure in the Elite League. Competing at the top and

:22:19. > :22:21.representing the East Midlands. Next, an exclusive insight into the

:22:22. > :22:24.final preparations for Carl Froch as he prepares for his World Title

:22:25. > :22:27.defence. He's revealed his schoolboy best friend helps keep him

:22:28. > :22:30.motivated. The Nottingham Super Middleweight Champion takes on

:22:31. > :22:34.George Groves on Saturday. And Mark Shardlow dropped in on Froch on what

:22:35. > :22:43.was supposed to be a day off from the gym.

:22:44. > :22:50.Even for a world champion, a gym session is hard, and getting their

:22:51. > :22:55.even harder. Every time I think I'll stay in bed this morning, Adam is on

:22:56. > :23:00.it. If he can do it, I have got to do it. It keeps me going. It is good

:23:01. > :23:05.to have a wing man. Especially one who is fit and in great shape. They

:23:06. > :23:12.have been friends for 25 years and are still training together. He was

:23:13. > :23:16.born to be a fighter. Had he been born so many years ago he would have

:23:17. > :23:20.been a gladiator. That's what he is, and to see a working class guy go to

:23:21. > :23:29.the great heights of top`level boxing, and do it by sheer drive,

:23:30. > :23:36.ambition and desire, is incredible. What better could I have as Roma

:23:37. > :23:44.Rome at and a best friend? I make it my mission to catch on. Without Adam

:23:45. > :23:51.there, it is difficult. It is always better to run with somebody. You can

:23:52. > :23:57.get lonely on your own. Carl's team is full of family and friends,

:23:58. > :24:03.though they are not always helpful. My anti`landed yesterday with half a

:24:04. > :24:10.carrot cake. It was outrageous. It was straight to the kicked in for a

:24:11. > :24:16.slice of carrot cake. `` cake tin. No pain, no gain, it is an old

:24:17. > :24:22.cliche but it is true. Pain is weakness. Make it as hard as

:24:23. > :24:31.possible, which is there, then pedal. I will be going straight to

:24:32. > :24:39.that machine. Your legs are burning. And your breathing heavy. That is

:24:40. > :24:46.when the work`out starts. Every time you step the ring, you must know

:24:47. > :24:51.you're going to get pain? A lot of people ask that. In all honesty,

:24:52. > :25:00.when I am fighting it does not hurt. And so, the gym session for this

:25:01. > :25:12.fight is over. That'll do me. It has been good. It is your turn now. Have

:25:13. > :25:19.you got your running shoes on? He is never short on commitment, is

:25:20. > :25:23.he? Very true. In the gym on his day off. What is best friend said about

:25:24. > :25:30.him is absolutely true. Totally committed to the sport. We cannot

:25:31. > :25:34.wait for Saturday. It is going to be a sell`out. I can believe it's been

:25:35. > :25:40.a year ago that he got that amazing win in Nottingham. A great thing to

:25:41. > :25:45.see. The enthusiasm still is great. The tickets sold out in 11 minutes.

:25:46. > :25:56.We are not going then? Thanks for that. Let's see if the weather is a

:25:57. > :25:59.sell`out. We had it all today, hail, sunshine and autumn time weather as

:26:00. > :26:03.well. Tomorrow is looking a little bit quieter. There will be plenty of

:26:04. > :26:09.bright weather to be had. You might get a photo like this. Thank you for

:26:10. > :26:13.sending that in. What happened earlier today? We had a weather

:26:14. > :26:16.front moving its way south this morning that brought all that rain,

:26:17. > :26:22.hail, sleet and snow to higher ground. Staying quite breezy as we

:26:23. > :26:27.go through this evening. Plenty of showers around. We do have a warning

:26:28. > :26:33.in force for Derbyshire, across higher ground, for snow this

:26:34. > :26:37.evening. We could get two to five centimetres. It is over higher

:26:38. > :26:42.ground and it will not cause an issue. It will quickly turn back to

:26:43. > :26:46.rain as we go through the night. Some lower levels, a little bit of

:26:47. > :26:50.sleet, but it is mostly would`be rainforest as we go through the

:26:51. > :26:54.evening and overnight tonight. A good scattering of showers, a lot of

:26:55. > :27:00.cloud, holding temperatures up to night, lows of two degrees. It

:27:01. > :27:03.should be a frost free night. Showers around first thing tomorrow

:27:04. > :27:08.morning, but slowly they start to ease. A breezy day on Thursday.

:27:09. > :27:12.Bright or sunny intervals, but still feeling chilly in that north

:27:13. > :27:17.easterly wind. Highs of seven degrees on Thursday. As we go

:27:18. > :27:20.towards the end of the week, high pressure is in charge. It is

:27:21. > :27:24.building and it will be with us throughout the weekend. It will be

:27:25. > :27:31.settled into the week, much lighter winds. But also the risk of frost

:27:32. > :27:37.and some freezing fog. Staying chilly towards the end of the week.

:27:38. > :27:43.Frost and fog, those phrases weather presenters hate.

:27:44. > :28:08.I am on the late news. Hope you can join me then. Goodbye.

:28:09. > :28:12.I'm Nigel Slater, a cook. And I'm Adam Henson, a farmer.

:28:13. > :28:16.all back in touch with where our food really comes from.

:28:17. > :28:19.You asked me to grow some durum wheat to produce your pasta.

:28:20. > :28:23.Our own eggs, our own flour - couldn't ask for more, really.
