:19:57. > :19:57.nice to win, to be. You are going to lose some games eventually, but it's
:19:58. > :20:01.how 0 lose some games eventually, but it's
:20:02. > :20:03.how you react. I want the players to aim for the top, and it is as
:20:04. > :20:09.straightforward as that. Leicester also on Saturday confirmed
:20:10. > :20:13.the signing of winger Riyad Mahrez from French club Le Harve. Next the
:20:14. > :20:17.very latest on the Jack Hobbs situation at Nottingham Forest. Jack
:20:18. > :20:24.is on a season`long loan at the City Ground from Hull City. But Hull are
:20:25. > :20:26.in a tug or war with Forest and trying to take the player back
:20:27. > :20:28.because they say 0 trying to take the player back
:20:29. > :20:32.because they say Reading have made a big to sign to player. Well Kirsty
:20:33. > :20:36.Edwards is with us talk Forest and explain more tonight. Kirsty, what's
:20:37. > :20:39.going on? Forrest had the `` Well, on Saturday Forest drew 1`1 away at
:20:40. > :20:43.Bolton, on the same day the Hull manager Steve Bruce said to the
:20:44. > :20:51.media he was recalling Jack Hobbs back to Hull. I suppose the big
:20:52. > :20:55.question is, has he gone back? No, he hasn't. We understand he has been
:20:56. > :20:56.for a scan on a hamstring injury he suffered in the game at the
:20:57. > :20:58.weekend, 0 suffered in the game at the
:20:59. > :21:03.weekend, and we understand that he is adamant he wants to stay at
:21:04. > :21:08.Nottingham Forest. Can they just simply take him back? They are his
:21:09. > :21:12.parent club, so in effect they can recall him, but they did agree the
:21:13. > :21:16.season long loan in the summer and we understand that in the coming
:21:17. > :21:19.days, Jack Hobbs will sign a precontract agreement with
:21:20. > :21:24.Nottingham Forest that would see him stay on a two`year deal next
:21:25. > :21:28.season, from next season. It is very much in the air and we will have to
:21:29. > :21:33.see how it all turns out in the coming days. Thanks for updating us,
:21:34. > :21:36.Kirsty. Now to Notts County, because at the weekend I went to see manager
:21:37. > :21:39.Shaun Derry. He's the unexpected appointment that's helped lift the
:21:40. > :21:43.Magpies. Four wins in seven games since the beginning of December. The
:21:44. > :21:46.team pulled off a fine 2`1 win over Sheffield United on Saturday. And I
:21:47. > :21:54.watched Derry driving them on from the touchline. Shaun Derry walked
:21:55. > :21:58.into Meadow Lane a couple of months ago with plenty of history here, but
:21:59. > :22:04.no managerial experience. They already love him. He has made them
:22:05. > :22:07.proud to wear the shirt. Doing a brilliant job. He's got the team
:22:08. > :22:11.believing in themselves and they are hard to beat. You can see why.
:22:12. > :22:17.Complete commitment on the touchline. I haven't played but I
:22:18. > :22:21.kicked and headed every ball for the boys. I am passionate and I wanted
:22:22. > :22:26.to rub off on the boys, in the right way. No wonder he is tired. The
:22:27. > :22:30.players put everybody through the mill after conceding after two
:22:31. > :22:36.minutes. It went against everything I wanted the lads to do. It made me
:22:37. > :22:40.furious. It really did. But the way we responded, the reaction, and them
:22:41. > :22:45.understanding I was angry, that drove them on. Anger and knowledge
:22:46. > :22:50.from Shaun Derry, and his experience assistant. It all came good. A
:22:51. > :22:55.fantastic performance. The way we got back into the game, the way we
:22:56. > :23:00.scored the goals, coming down the wings and putting the ball across,
:23:01. > :23:04.that's how I want is to play. It has lifted the Magpies to a point from
:23:05. > :23:09.safety, but if the Notts County players Shaun Derry will ease up,
:23:10. > :23:13.think again. I won't give them a minutes rest, ever. We don't deserve
:23:14. > :23:16.it, we are at the bottom of the league for a reason, and the sooner
:23:17. > :23:21.we are out of the bottom for places, we might relax then, but we
:23:22. > :23:28.will drive on all the time until they are sick and tired of me `` ``
:23:29. > :23:31.four places. Onto League Two, and Mansfield Town, who probably knew
:23:32. > :23:34.they would find it tough against table topping Scunthorpe, but can't
:23:35. > :23:38.possibly have planned for a world class strike from Paul Hayes. That
:23:39. > :23:44.was against the run of play too. But Scunthorpe went on to take control,
:23:45. > :23:50.and Hayes got them a second. Away from football, there were some great
:23:51. > :23:52.success stories this weekend. Leicester Tigers are in the
:23:53. > :24:00.quarterfinals of the Heineken Cup. They did it with victory in Italy.
:24:01. > :24:03.Tom begins his round`up of the best of the rest with the Tigers.
:24:04. > :24:07.Leicester Tigers saved their best to the second half. They were trailing
:24:08. > :24:12.when Benjamin ran in the first of his two tries, but the sensational
:24:13. > :24:17.fightback earned a bonus point win. 34`19 was the final score. It was a
:24:18. > :24:21.double winning weekend on the ice for Nottingham Panthers. A 5`2
:24:22. > :24:27.victory over Edinburgh, followed by a 5`3 win in Coventry last night. In
:24:28. > :24:32.snooker, Mark Selby is through to the quarterfinals of the Masters.
:24:33. > :24:38.The defending champion let a 4`0 lead slip, but went through 6`5. And
:24:39. > :24:42.congratulations to Leicestershire's Gemma Steele who won the women's
:24:43. > :24:46.race and captained Great Britain to team victory at the International
:24:47. > :24:53.cross`country in Edinburgh. That cannot be it? Let's have the
:24:54. > :25:01.weather. We have to talk about Leicester again. Yes, they retained
:25:02. > :25:04.the BBL Cup in front of 9,000 fans in Birmingham yesterday Now, because
:25:05. > :25:07.of all the football, we can't do their achievement proper justice
:25:08. > :25:11.today so I'm really pleased to say a couple of the Riders boys are
:25:12. > :25:16.bringing the trophy into the studio tomorrow evening. They're great lads
:25:17. > :25:20.so don't miss it. Note to self, where some high heeled shoes
:25:21. > :25:25.tomorrow. Talking of tall people, here is kay with the weather.
:25:26. > :25:33.We have had beautiful sunshine through the weekend. It gave as one
:25:34. > :25:37.of those gorgeous, frosty sunrises, as pictured very nicely from Paul
:25:38. > :25:43.from Ilkeston. Keep them coming into us. And we will get a second chance
:25:44. > :25:48.to snap up the scenes like this as it's another cold and frosty start
:25:49. > :25:51.tomorrow, and an icy start for some of us. But we will be compensated
:25:52. > :25:55.with the sunshine again, especially through the morning. We saw plenty
:25:56. > :25:59.this morning. The cloud has been increasing this afternoon and we
:26:00. > :26:03.have a line of showers pushing in. The showers won't last for too long.
:26:04. > :26:07.They clear away quickly but once they are here, they will be on the
:26:08. > :26:11.heavy side. You can see that they push away. A couple of them will
:26:12. > :26:15.follow across the Peak District and some could turn rather wintry but
:26:16. > :26:18.the most it is dry and clear through the night and where we get the clear
:26:19. > :26:22.spells, temperatures will fall away and we will be close to freezing in
:26:23. > :26:27.rural spots by the morning. We are most concerned with icy stretches
:26:28. > :26:34.where we get the showers, and that might freeze, so some slippery spots
:26:35. > :26:38.on the road first thing. A cold and frosty start, patches of freezing
:26:39. > :26:42.fog as well first thing. They might linger for a time but they do lift
:26:43. > :26:46.and clear away, and there will be lots of lovely sunshine in the
:26:47. > :26:51.morning. Turning a little hazy on the afternoon, with high cloud
:26:52. > :26:55.rolling back in, and a cold day, four or five Celsius as the top
:26:56. > :26:58.temperature. We do it all again tomorrow is another weather front
:26:59. > :27:02.comes in from the Atlantic through the night. The wins will pick up. It
:27:03. > :27:09.will clear away through Wednesday `` the winds. They are coming in from a
:27:10. > :27:09.southerly direction, so look at the temperatures, 10 degrees by
:27:10. > :27:17.Wednesday. Not bad. If you could see her shoes, you
:27:18. > :27:21.would know what I mean. At least six inches. I'm doing the late news, so
:27:22. > :27:23.I will see you then.
