:00:15. > :00:19.With your news now for the East Midlands, I'm Maurice Flynn. Friends

:00:20. > :00:23.of a missing Derby student are starting their own appeal today to

:00:24. > :00:27.help find him. 20`year`old Nadish Kunwar was last seen on a night out

:00:28. > :00:33.with friends in the city centre three weeks ago. After he'd left

:00:34. > :00:35.them he was seen walking on CCTV. This lunchtime his friends and

:00:36. > :00:38.former classmates are handing out leaflets and filming their own

:00:39. > :00:42.appeal for information about his disappearance.

:00:43. > :00:47.Campaigners have been in Nottingham calling for a region`wide payrise

:00:48. > :00:50.for workers today. The TUC held a rally in the city centre this

:00:51. > :00:55.morning, joined by the MP Lilian Greenwood. They say that while the

:00:56. > :00:59.economy has started to show signs of growth, worker's wages have lagged

:01:00. > :01:06.far behind inflation. It's that gap they blame for the 'cost of living'

:01:07. > :01:10.crisis, as they call it. Getting a pay rise is the quickest way for

:01:11. > :01:14.people to see more money in their pockets, and people go out and spend

:01:15. > :01:19.that, and that helps create other businesses and provide other people

:01:20. > :01:24.with a salary. For the last four years we have seen incomes

:01:25. > :01:29.declining. One in five people are earning below the living wage. For

:01:30. > :01:34.most people, the pound in their pocket is not buying what it used

:01:35. > :01:36.to. The people of Nottingham, the people of the East Midlands and the

:01:37. > :01:41.rest of the country actually need to be earning enough to go out and

:01:42. > :01:43.purchase and actually live a decent life.

:01:44. > :01:46.To this afternoon's football. Nottingham Forest are on the road to

:01:47. > :01:49.Burnley. Derby are hosting Bournemouth, and a win for them,

:01:50. > :01:53.with a loss for Forest, could see the Rams move to second in the

:01:54. > :01:56.Championship, behind only the Foxes, who face Ipswich. In League One,

:01:57. > :01:59.it's an important match for Notts County. A win for the Magpies over

:02:00. > :02:06.Shrewsbury could see them move five points clear of Shrewsbury and,

:02:07. > :02:14.vitally, out of the relegation zone. Shrewsbury are the same, but these

:02:15. > :02:19.are the big six pointers. Now that they are here, I feel that we are in

:02:20. > :02:21.the right possible frame of mind to approach them in the right manner.

:02:22. > :02:25.There's coverage of all today's games on your local BBC Radio. And

:02:26. > :02:28.one more fixture to tell you about ` in League Two, Mansfield hosts

:02:29. > :02:31.Fleetwood Town. It has been a glorious day so far. Let's check on

:02:32. > :02:37.the weekend's weather. How was it looking?

:02:38. > :02:41.Not too shabby. We have had beautiful blue skies, but it will be

:02:42. > :02:46.slightly cloudier for the afternoon and the breeze will pick up. Not a

:02:47. > :02:49.lot changing for the rest of the day, staying dry and bright with

:02:50. > :02:54.some sunshine. It is relatively mild, temperatures into double

:02:55. > :02:57.figures, around 10 Celsius. Overnight the cloud and the winds

:02:58. > :03:04.will thicken up and pick`up. There could be a splash or two of rain.

:03:05. > :03:10.The cloud and the breeze, that will hold the temperatures up. Six or

:03:11. > :03:12.seven Celsius. Tomorrow morning, quite a lot of cloud to start the

:03:13. > :03:14.day, unfortunately, and quite 0 quite a lot of cloud to start the

:03:15. > :03:20.day, unfortunately, and quite windy, a few spots of rain here are their,

:03:21. > :03:23.but for most of us it will be confined to the north and west. A

:03:24. > :03:28.lot of places staying dry with highs of 10 Celsius.

:03:29. > :04:08.That's it from us, we will have more for you when we are back at 6:05pm.

:04:09. > :04:18.Good afternoon. It has been a lovely start with some very welcome winter

:04:19. > :04:21.sunshine. For the rest of the day, the further east you are, you will

:04:22. > :04:25.hang onto that for much of the time. The further north and west you

:04:26. > :04:30.are, the wind will pick up, that will be dragging in rain. You can

:04:31. > :04:34.see where this is coming from. Out in the Atlantic this area of boat is

:04:35. > :04:38.approaching the west of the United Kingdom, and ahead of that, it will

:04:39. > :04:39.be a dry afternoon. -- this area
