:01:06. > :01:13.Nottingham, they have had a number of suspected scarlet fever cases and
:01:14. > :01:18.have written to parents. We have had three cases of what we think might
:01:19. > :01:23.be scarlet fever. They have been to the doctor and been prescribed
:01:24. > :01:32.antibiotics. Symptoms take up to five days to appear after infection.
:01:33. > :01:39.The rash comes 12 to 48 hours later. Red blotches turn into a fine pink
:01:40. > :01:45.rash that feels like sandpaper, looks like sunburn and maybe it's
:01:46. > :01:49.you. It is really important if you think your child has scarlet fever,
:01:50. > :01:54.that you go to the doctor and get treatment, partly because we want
:01:55. > :02:00.these bugs treated and taken out of circulation. Antibiotics were hard
:02:01. > :02:06.to come by when Bill Maynard got scarlet fever. The 85`year`old was
:02:07. > :02:10.eight at the time. He spent 16 weeks in isolation and says in some ways,
