:00:00. > :00:00.to you. There's more throughout the evening on the BBC News Channel. I'm

:00:00. > :00:17.back with With your news now for the East

:00:18. > :00:19.Midlands, I'm Maurice Flynn. An Italian judge will begin considering

:00:20. > :00:22.tomorrow whether an investigation into the death of a young

:00:23. > :00:27.Nottinghamshire mother should be reopened. Claire Martin's family say

:00:28. > :00:30.they cannot accept a verdict of suicide for their daughter ` who

:00:31. > :00:35.died two years ago from multiple stab wounds to the neck. Carol Hinds

:00:36. > :00:39.reports. More than two years on from the

:00:40. > :00:41.death of their daughter Claire, her parents from Sutton in Ashfield

:00:42. > :00:48.still have many unanswered questions about how she died. I would like to

:00:49. > :00:55.know the official time of death that my daughter died, the time that she

:00:56. > :01:01.was first discovered. The time that the paramedics were actually called.

:01:02. > :01:11.Who identified my daughter? Why we weren't involved or told until

:01:12. > :01:15.3:30pm the following day? She was found in March 2012 with 24 stab

:01:16. > :01:20.wounds to her neck at the home near Naples that she shared with her

:01:21. > :01:23.partner and her son. A local magistrate declared her death

:01:24. > :01:26.suicide and closed the case. Tomorrow, a judge in Italy will

:01:27. > :01:33.decide whether to reopen the investigation. We hope that the

:01:34. > :01:37.judge actually reads the paper. It is quite a lengthy document. And

:01:38. > :01:41.then agrees to the case not being closed. For every question, there

:01:42. > :01:49.are two, maybe three different answers and there should only be

:01:50. > :01:52.one. One answer to each question. This weekend, they took a break from

:01:53. > :01:57.the paperwork to hold their first fundraiser. It was a night of comedy

:01:58. > :02:04.and music. Two of Claire 's favourite pastimes.

:02:05. > :02:09.You'll hear more from the Martins, and their story, on BBC Radio

:02:10. > :02:12.Nottingham's Breakfast tomorrow morning.

:02:13. > :02:16.Police have described as "cowardly" two men who attacked a pregnant

:02:17. > :02:19.shop`worker with a baseball bat. The woman, who's 36 weeks pregnant, was

:02:20. > :02:24.working at the Johal General Store on Park Street in Kirkby in Ashfield

:02:25. > :02:28.on Friday night when it happened. She told us she was hit in the

:02:29. > :02:34.stomach, while trying to block their bat with her arms. The men fled with

:02:35. > :02:38.nothing. She's unharmed, but shaken. Around 30 people have been moved

:02:39. > :02:41.from their homes, after a fire on a modern retirement village in

:02:42. > :02:46.Nottinghamshire. It broke out within the Lark Hill complex in Clifton

:02:47. > :02:49.this afternoon. More than four hundred people live on the site

:02:50. > :02:52.within its flats and bungalows. It was quickly brought under control.

:02:53. > :02:56.There'll be no changes to school holiday patterns in Leicestershire.

:02:57. > :03:00.It's after 86% of people who responded to a County Council survey

:03:01. > :03:04.voted to keep the status quo. From September 2015, all state schools in

:03:05. > :03:07.England will be able to decide their own term dates.

:03:08. > :03:12.Football and a good weekend for three of our teams. Leicester, Derby

:03:13. > :03:16.and Notts County all securing wins. Kirsty Edwards rounds up the action.

:03:17. > :03:19.Not content with the title, Leicester City want to break the 100

:03:20. > :03:23.point barrier and they're almost there after Gary Taylor Fletcher saw

:03:24. > :03:27.them take the lead at Huddersfield. The job was finished off by captain

:03:28. > :03:31.Wes Morgan. Derby County have secured third place despite falling

:03:32. > :03:35.behind to Watford. Jeff Hendrick got them back on level terms. They then

:03:36. > :03:39.edged ahead, this time through Craig Forsyth. Watford had had a man sent

:03:40. > :03:44.off and scored an equaliser before Jeff Hendrick had his second of the

:03:45. > :03:48.day. A cracking strike too. And Chris Martin ensured a fifth

:03:49. > :03:51.straight win for the Rams. No chance of Nottingham Forest joining Derby

:03:52. > :03:55.in the play`offs, there were already 2`0 down when Greg Halford headed

:03:56. > :03:58.in. Any chances were dashed when Yara gave away a penalty.

:03:59. > :04:04.Bournemouth scored it and added another later on to see Forest go

:04:05. > :04:07.down 4`1. Notts County are in with a great chance of escaping relegation.

:04:08. > :04:12.Alan Sheehan with their opener against Swindon. The visitors had

:04:13. > :04:15.two men sent off late on for an off the ball incident and the resulting

:04:16. > :04:18.fracas. When the Swindon goalkeeper went up front corner, Nott

:04:19. > :04:23.capitalised on an empty net with Calum MacGregor's goal making sure

:04:24. > :04:28.of a vital three points. I'm really proud of them. Nothing is achieved

:04:29. > :04:32.yet. I have been in too many last day dramas to feel that everything

:04:33. > :04:37.is done and dusted by now. It definitely isn't. It will go down to

:04:38. > :04:46.the very last day. A disappointing day for Mansfield Town. A 3`1 defeat

:04:47. > :04:50.to Torquay. Notts County ladies beat Portsmouth

:04:51. > :04:53.Ladies two nil in the sixth round of the Women's FA Cup, seeing them

:04:54. > :04:58.through to the semifinal. And in the women's Premier League, Forest

:04:59. > :05:01.Ladies drew one all at Sheffield. In the weekend's basketball, Leicester

:05:02. > :05:05.Riders are through to the semi final of the play`offs. They beat Cheshire

:05:06. > :05:09.by 77 points to 56 in the second leg of the quarterfinal. So they won by

:05:10. > :05:11.33 points on aggregate. Let's check the weather now, Mel has your

:05:12. > :05:20.forecast. Good evening, some places have

:05:21. > :05:24.remained dry and bright with one or two showers around, but they will

:05:25. > :05:27.fade as the night goes on. Increasing cloud. Some shells would

:05:28. > :05:33.be heavy this evening before they clear. One or two dotted around

:05:34. > :05:39.before the early hours of the morning. In most places dry with

:05:40. > :05:45.increasing cloud. Not a cold night with low`temperature is of a turn

:05:46. > :05:48.nine Celsius. Grade to start on Monday, that allows them for some

:05:49. > :05:53.bright and sunny spells. 12 showers in southern parts but a bridge is

:05:54. > :05:56.not too bad and the wind will be quite light.

:05:57. > :06:10.We're back later this evening at 22:15.

:06:11. > :06:16.Good evening. After an unsettled weekend, the same culprit will be

:06:17. > :06:21.staying with us through the early part of the new week. No pressure is

:06:22. > :06:25.set to continue producing a fair number of showers across England and

:06:26. > :06:30.Wales. Still some hefty ones to come through this evening, particularly

:06:31. > :06:35.across the Midlands, South Wales and south-west England. Rain will spread

:06:36. > :06:42.from the south-west of Scotland into Northern Ireland by dawn. A mild

:06:43. > :06:51.enough night. Monday, after a gloomy start for many of us, the cloud and

:06:52. > :06:58.Risley rain across Northern Ireland. A reasonably dry start

:06:59. > :07:01.across England and Wales but come the afternoon, that low-pressure

:07:02. > :07:05.centre is still close by and it looks like it will start generating

:07:06. > :07:09.some pretty hefty thundery showers. A few for south Wales, certainly

:07:10. > :07:16.across southern England and into East Anglia. Some areas will miss
