:02:37. > :02:43.Mercy who looks after everybody but the whole thing was started five
:02:44. > :02:49.years ago by Alice. Euro`macro there was so many orphans and girls at
:02:50. > :02:53.risk so we have gone from strength to strength. It is a platform for
:02:54. > :02:58.change giving the girls a second chance in life and most important
:02:59. > :03:02.thing is it giving them an education and then they are given the choice
:03:03. > :03:09.and the freedom for development. These girls only came four days ago.
:03:10. > :03:12.They have never had anything of their own before and were never
:03:13. > :03:19.given the toys they did not know what to do with them. They do now.
:03:20. > :03:25.We are proud because she gave us everything we need. The girls are so
:03:26. > :03:30.happy to stay here and they forget they are orphans. What difference
:03:31. > :03:34.doesn't make to be here for their future?
:03:35. > :03:43.They know they have a bright future. They go to school and they know they
:03:44. > :03:47.will finish school and they... It is likely many of the girls would
:03:48. > :03:52.never have left this area. Thanks to a new joy in their lives, they are
:03:53. > :04:16.using their singing skills to make big changes. It isn't just the girls
:04:17. > :04:21.that are being helped. Is that you? There are just as many boys orphaned
:04:22. > :04:25.as well. We felt we wanted to do something for them. The government
:04:26. > :04:30.won't allow orphanages to be mixed sex so we decided the best thing to
:04:31. > :04:35.do was to give them safe keeping and get them adopted or fostered by
:04:36. > :04:39.elderly widows in the community. This is one of the backyards were
:04:40. > :04:50.eight boys have been fostered by a widow. Say hello. Don't they look
:04:51. > :04:54.gorgeous? It is fantastic, they get family life and there are brought up
:04:55. > :04:59.in the ring community. Martha gets a small income because she is very
:05:00. > :05:04.very poor. All of the children we have met are the lucky ones because
:05:05. > :05:07.AIDS is sweeping through this beautiful contact `` consonant
:05:08. > :05:16.leaving in its wake a generation of lost children. `` consonant. Lots of
:05:17. > :05:20.the parents of the children coming through now have died of AIDS and
:05:21. > :05:25.the children are left to be looked after by the grandmothers who are
:05:26. > :05:29.frail, old, no in come themselves and they are trying to take in six
:05:30. > :05:36.or eight children at a time. We had to consider whether we took the
:05:37. > :05:41.girls with HIV. There was no option. If we didn't, they would have died.
:05:42. > :05:45.They had an opportunity to get treatment and now the fit and
:05:46. > :05:50.healthy. AIDS impact on life here in every way, it is a drain on the
:05:51. > :05:53.labour force and government expenditure. Its greatest impact is
:05:54. > :05:59.on the children. If they're not born with it, that parents would have
:06:00. > :06:05.died from it leaving a generation to fend for themselves, earlier than
:06:06. > :06:09.they ought to. Those who are negative should remain negative and
:06:10. > :06:16.those positive should be assisted with drugs but the main aim is those
:06:17. > :06:21.negative to remain negative. That is down to education.
:06:22. > :06:27.Yes. It is all about education. Alice

:23:30. > :23:36.we will produce. It will be a great success for Rolls`Royce and for the
:23:37. > :23:41.local economy and the world economy. The bus which took Torvill and Dean
