:00:30. > :00:33.They literally got away with murder for 15 years, until jurors, today,

:00:34. > :00:41.The police found the remains of the elderly couple here in Forrest

:00:42. > :00:47.They had each been shot twice and wrapped in duvets.

:00:48. > :00:51.This is where the remains of William and Patricia Wycherley lay

:00:52. > :00:54.in their back garden grave undiscovered for 15 years.

:00:55. > :00:57.No one in this tiny cul`de`sac, or the wider world, suspected ` thing.

:00:58. > :01:02.Their daughter and son`in`l`w, Susan and Christopher Edwards,

:01:03. > :01:05.formerly of Dagenham, were today convicted of murder by

:01:06. > :01:11.They decided on their coursd of action, which was to travel to

:01:12. > :01:16.Mansfield, kill this elderlx couple who they knew would not be lissed,

:01:17. > :01:22.I would describe that as pretty cold and calculatdd.

:01:23. > :01:27.The police said that the Wycherleys, aged 85 and 63, were each shot twice

:01:28. > :01:32.A World War II, .38 Colt Commando revolver,

:01:39. > :01:40.The police say that the shooting happened on thd May Day

:01:41. > :01:46.The Edwards say that they btried the Wycherleys the next weekend

:01:47. > :01:49.The grave had been dug in the daytime, by agreement,

:01:50. > :01:52.and the couple then sat and watched the television together.

:01:53. > :01:55.The Eurovision Song contest, they recall.

:01:56. > :01:57.They set their alarm for the early hours of the

:01:58. > :02:04.following morning so they could get up and bury the bodies.

:02:05. > :02:07.The day after the Bank Holiday shootings, Susan Edwards closed

:02:08. > :02:08.the Wycherleys' account at the Halifax in Mansfield.

:02:09. > :02:12.She set up a bogus joint account with her mother.

:02:13. > :02:13.The Wycherleys' pension money was paid in.

:02:14. > :02:15.In 2005, the Edwards forged the Wycherleys' signatures

:02:16. > :02:21.They sent Christmas cards to relatives to convince them that

:02:22. > :02:31.It is quite astonishing. In that particular area gunshot noises or

:02:32. > :02:36.someone digging the back garden to hide bodies seems very unbelievable.

:02:37. > :02:46.In one two`year period spending ?14,000 on memorabilia conndcted to

:02:47. > :02:56.She was a bit odd and he used to do all the shopping.

:03:03. > :03:09.The Edwards fled to France for a year after the Pensions

:04:21. > :04:22.Passers`by at Clay Cross in Derbyshire feared the

:04:23. > :04:24.18`month`old girl was overhdating as the windows were shut.
