:00:48. > :00:51.She regrets that, but then she has already lost

:00:52. > :00:54.a big chunk of her salary because of council budget ctts.

:00:58. > :01:07.I went from 37 hours just down to 19 at the time.

:01:08. > :01:10.So, you know, my wages have been greatly reduced

:01:11. > :01:14.and I have a nine year`old at the moment and it is difficult

:01:15. > :01:17.sometimes to try to make thd money stretch until the end of thd month.

:01:18. > :01:20.Teachers, civil servants, and council care workers also backed

:01:21. > :01:27.There was a similar big turnout in Leicester.

:01:28. > :01:30.Fire Crews, angered over the raising of their retirelent age,

:01:36. > :01:41.In Derby, while public servhce workers gathered for a rallx, fire

:01:42. > :01:44.reservists covering for strhking full time crews were called to a

:01:45. > :01:50.school. A fire had broken ott in the roof. No one was hurt.

:01:51. > :01:56.There was a similar incident in Leicestershire.

:01:57. > :01:58.This is what trade union solidarity looks like.

:01:59. > :02:02.It is a show of strength but will it change the mindset of the government

:02:03. > :02:06.on public service pay, condhtions and austerity budget cuts?

:02:07. > :02:09.I think they are wrong and it will affect services and it

:02:10. > :02:12.will affect people who have nothing to do with the dispute whatsoever.

:02:13. > :02:16.I also think they are wrong because some of them are based on b`llots

:02:17. > :02:20.With a very small percentagd of people actually voting

:02:21. > :02:25.I personally would not want to see more strikes because these workers

:02:26. > :02:30.are sacrificing a day's pay and that is because some of these people are

:02:31. > :02:37.With the government talking about another four years

:02:38. > :02:40.of public sector pay cuts, there may be further stoppages between now

:02:41. > :02:49.The national rehabilitation centre for injured soldiers is

:02:50. > :02:53.The Ministry of Defence says new facilithes

:02:54. > :02:56.at Stanford Hall near Loughborough will open within the next four years

:02:57. > :03:00.They will replace the outdated centre for seriously injured

:03:01. > :03:09.If we start to get a conflict that delivers casualties in the future,

:03:10. > :03:12.we have a state`of`the`art place to treat them so we will need to think

:03:13. > :03:15.seriously about how we retahn the skills that we have learned

:03:16. > :03:19.tragically, over the past fdw years with the levels of complex trauma

:03:20. > :03:23.that we have had and the levels of head injury trauma that we have had.

:05:17. > :05:20.Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh slowly worked

:05:21. > :05:25.their way through the crowds which lined the route to thd house.

:05:29. > :05:32.presented the couple with a hamper of Derbyshire's finest

:05:33. > :05:35.She spent a long time looking at all of this didn't she?

:05:36. > :05:38.His Royal Highness was obviously very keen on some

:05:39. > :05:41.of the products and asked a lot of questions and spoke to us

:05:42. > :05:47.She asked if she would be able to fit it in her helicopter to take it

:05:48. > :05:50.home, so we all had quite a giggle with her, to be honest

:05:51. > :05:53.It was a memorable experience for many who came here.

:05:54. > :05:56.It was amazing and she looked beautiful.

:05:57. > :06:05.It has been amazing, I have never seen the Queen before

:06:06. > :06:09.She is quite smaller than I actually thought she would be.
