:01:38. > :01:46.Michelle suffered with pelvhc pain. Her keyhole surgery was routine
:01:47. > :01:48.but it went horribly wrong. It destroyed me,
:01:49. > :01:53.absolutely destroyed me. I had staples, tubes,
:01:54. > :01:57.and wires coming out of me. I couldn't believe that
:01:58. > :02:04.a simple routine operation could end It started here at the
:02:05. > :02:07.Nottingham Treatment Centre. During the keyhole procedurd,
:02:08. > :02:13.they perforated her bowel. She was screaming the house down
:02:14. > :02:16.and we had to get an ambulance out She was taken to the
:02:17. > :02:23.Queen's Medical Centre. When they finally operated,
:02:24. > :02:27.after two days, She was put into it a coma
:02:28. > :02:35.in intensive care. I was talking to her
:02:36. > :02:38.and she was squeezing my hand, It was a case of not knowing whether
:02:39. > :02:47.she would pull through or not. The infection shut down her organs
:02:48. > :02:49.and there were more competitions. Nottingham University Hospital Trust
:02:50. > :02:54.has apologised and said it has done It is a case where
:02:55. > :02:59.the hospital made mistakes. Michelle's bowel was perfor`ted
:03:00. > :03:01.during what was Now, thankfully for Michelld
:03:02. > :03:06.and Stephen and the rest of the family, they have admitted liability
:03:07. > :03:10.for what they have done which means that we can now go on to agree
:03:11. > :03:13.a fair settlement for Michelle. It was a nightmare

:03:59. > :04:03.save money. They are trying to cut costs by moving the police to a new

:04:11. > :04:15.people have signed a petition against closing this building. If

:06:04. > :06:06.on trial to deny being involved in Mr Akpom's murder.

:06:14. > :06:15.Well, the jury has been hearing about the
:06:16. > :06:19.events last September that led to the fatal stabbing of Antoin Akpom
:06:20. > :06:25.and the conviction of eight men for the bungled arson attack hours
:06:26. > :06:32.later that killed four membdrs of the Taufiq family in a housd fire.
:06:33. > :06:35.On trial now is 19 year`old Abdul Hakim, whose family home was the
:06:36. > :06:39.intended target of that arson attack because of his alleged involvement
:06:40. > :06:47.Mr Hakim denies murder, and it is accepted by the prosecution that
:06:48. > :06:53.That was 19`year`old Hussein Hussein, who has already
:06:54. > :06:58.But the prosecution say that it was what is called a joint
:06:59. > :07:09.The chain of events started when Mr Akpom saw Mr Hakim and
:07:10. > :07:14.Hussein Hussein walking along Kent Street in Leicester, as he was
:07:15. > :07:21.There had been bad feeling between Mr Akpom and Mr Hakhm,
:07:22. > :07:27.and there was a verbal exch`nge between the three men.
:07:28. > :07:32.Then, Mr Akpom got back into the car and went to the gym, where
:07:33. > :07:36.he got a dumbbell, and returned to the scene with a group of around
:07:37. > :07:41.Mr Akpom was stabbed in the upper left back.
:07:42. > :07:44.There was plenty of CCTV around but the stabbing happened in a 5
:07:45. > :07:52.second break in coverage ` so that wasn't actually captured on CCTV.
:07:53. > :07:56.Joe French, who was driving Mr Akpom on the day,
:07:57. > :08:00.said under cross`examination by the defence that Mr Akpol was not
:08:01. > :08:04.being aggressive and that he was not covering things
:08:05. > :08:14.A fundraising page set up bx a Leicestershire victim of thd Ukraine

:16:15. > :16:20.project which helps children with special needs get to and from
:16:21. > :16:29.school. It supports them in all of life. It is making them aware of
:16:30. > :16:32.what is socially acceptable and not. This boy has done so well that he
:16:33. > :16:40.has been given an award by his school. I feel that being able to
:16:41. > :16:43.travel independently has made a big difference to his confidencd and our
:16:44. > :16:54.relationship. Without the travel training, my son is very closely
:16:55. > :16:58.attached to me. When he has come home by himself he knocks on the
:16:59. > :17:04.door and had a big smile on his face. He will finish school this
:17:05. > :17:09.week and will start a placelent in Nottingham. He will get the bus
:17:10. > :17:19.every day. He is looking forward to the independence. It feels good I

:24:51. > :24:53.Whoever did it used a very complex process of taking images from
:24:54. > :24:57.photographs and then carving them into a very integrated structure.
